Title: Scales?!?!
Description: what kind?

Shearkin - August 11, 2007 03:28 PM (GMT)
now I know we hade a topic about fur or scales (some where's  ) and oviously dragon's have scales but what kind? would it be hard rough scales like Alagators' or crocodiles?
smooth sort of soft like snake and fish?
or kinda in the middle like lizzard's?
I want your say !!

Well, their skin appears to be smooth and quite flexible since we see the dragons running, jumping and twisting around. I tend to think their skin is more lizard-like, say like a Komodo Dragon or something, as opposed to having hard rough scales.

One thing is for sure: their skin is incredibly tough! We see the dragons taking falls while running at full speed and skidding along the pavement without getting any scrapes, cuts, scratches or bruises! Wish I could walk away from falls like that. :)

I agree with Furox, yeah bummer Jiny(d) and Dany(h) didn't walk away from their crash :(

i almost died rom a crash. luckily stalegmite helped me. though it was artha's fault. though urox must be right with the way the scales blend in with the skin.

I'd say lizard-like as well. In even the most close-up views of dragons on the show, individual scales aren't visible, so they either blend with the skin well or are quite small.

Would it kill you to not drag your roleplaying into a conversation about the canon?

Sorry I was just making a small statement, I wasn't trying to start a RP thing.

Not all of us will understand what you're referring to, and in a discussion about the show itself the OCs youve created aren't usually relevant.

OK so before we get more off topic, I really mean it I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cause any sort of troble to the forum. So can we just forget about that statement I made in my first post on this topic and get back to the main reason we're here.

yeah lizzard or komodo dragons' scales were what I was thinking the only reason hwy I put teh crocodikle and alagator scales is because they are verry tough ........maybe its' a combanation of both .

Soft like. I think... :plot:

Dragon Fanatic - January 13, 2008 04:02 AM (GMT)
I'd say they're on the softer side. Not as soft as a fish, so in the middle

I say that since humans on earth have keratin based nails, hair ect and the animals have keritan claws, scales and horns I bet that the Scales of the Dragons on the planet Draconis have Draconium based scales which would explian the extreme durability of their scales. (Oh and talking about taking impacts and walking away, I was crossing a road at night when it was raining and got hit by a car. It sent me flying around 20 feet *7 meters* and I walked away without a single scratch or bruise. Oh and the car skidded to a halt just inches above my head while under it.)

the planet of dragon booster is Draconis?

wow a revelation!!!!
