Title: Propheci

koering - August 5, 2007 05:19 AM (GMT)
ok i was just watching the lost track of doom and i was curious, does anyone know how old propheci is, and the prophets?

The Furox - August 5, 2007 08:06 AM (GMT)
His age has never been stated, but if you read through the Q&A with The Magna Draconis, he confirmed that Propheci is older than Reepyr. It seemed to me like he had to be older since I don't know how anyone (dragon or human) could get so bitter and hard lined if they were still in their teens like most of the rest of the characters. It takes time to get bitter and hardened like Propheci.

Personally, I put Propheci up around Word's age. They both seem to have a similar level of bitterness to them.

well............ OK!! thanks furox!!!

How about that thing sticking out of Propheci's head... Is that his brain?

The Furox - August 9, 2007 03:58 AM (GMT)
Not in my opinion. I think it's just the pattern on his skin. A little artistic license from the creators of the show to tell us these are very intelligent dragons. ^_^

I thought that Propheci was around at the time of the first dragon human war.
Because he said about humans not learning from what they taught them from the first war.
So I thought he was about 3000 odd years old

Crystal Wildfyr - August 10, 2007 12:17 AM (GMT)
No, I don't think he lived then... He probably heard the war's history... maybe, maybe not...

The Furox - August 11, 2007 06:06 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I didn't interpret anything Propheci said as a suggestion that he was around 3000 years ago. Propheci said The Prophets helped the original DB 3000 years ago, but he didn't say he was there personally.

Besides if Propheci was 3000 years old, he should be a lot wiser by now. :) Let's face it, none of his plans work out all that well. :P (But he's still my favorite orange dragon. ;))

The Hydrag - August 11, 2007 02:39 PM (GMT)
and he has a really sweet evil smile. I guess thats nopt his brains because he would have smashed them long ago running into things. Anybody want to guess where the mind control gear came from? I think its ancient gear made by the original prophets.

Crystal Wildfyr - August 11, 2007 04:23 PM (GMT)
I agree with the mind controlling gear.

When I first saw him, that's what I thought it was. I wanted one of the characters to poke it to see if it was. :P

Can't breathe... so... funny Liliwen...

His age isn't mentioned in the show, but it's on the official web site and in the Character Reference Guide that The Magna Draconis gave us.

Reepyr is 17.

koering - August 17, 2007 06:49 AM (GMT)
well in the end of the eppisode The lost track of doom reeper said that he and a lot of the other racers gave them selves up to the orange dragons a long time ago. How old was he when he did that?!?!?!?

The Furox - August 17, 2007 07:39 AM (GMT)
That's unknown. There have been no real hints of when Reepyr ended up as Propheci's rider, nor how he got into the Prophets crew in the first place. But this would be a really good question to ask The Magna Draconis when another round of questions takes place. So you might want to keep this one in mind. :)

Aerodragon Highflyer - August 17, 2007 05:57 PM (GMT)
How did Propheci become slightly physically different from the other Prophets? Is it a genetic thing? Did his parents once lead the crew and then pass the leadership on to him? But then how did they get to look different? One possible explanation might be Academy evolution, but I don't think that Propheci (in the past, before Reeepyr was his rider) went through the Academy. Besides, he doesn't seem to want to bond with his human, just controll them. Also, there would've been a big hullaballoo if an Orage Control-class dragon was seen on the All-City tracks :eep: . Or maybe he was bred that way; do you remember in the begining of "Prophets Motive" when that one guy on the light pole said that the Orange dragons were bred for one thing: the D-H war. Maybe, in that process, they bred a specific type of Orange designed to be the leader. I'm just guessing, though. What do you guys think?

The Furox - August 18, 2007 04:12 AM (GMT)
One thing is for sure: they made two character models for the orange dragons. There's the one for Propheci who has the distinctive head crest and the plainer looking one they use for most of the rest of the orange dragons. I say most because there is a brief shot in "Track of Doom" where they show a group of orange dragons that look like Propheci clones. Check out my DB video The Propheci Song at time 00:40 and you'll see them. To my knowledge, this is the only time we see the Propheci character model used elsewhere. This could either be a mistake on the part of Nerd Corps, or it could represent a group of orange dragon elders. The Magna Draconis made reference to their being a group of elders in the previous Q&A round, so maybe this is them.

Though this still doesn't explain why they look different. Maybe dragons can evolve a little bit on their own as they age without having to go through the Academy. We know Propheci is older, so it could just be part of the natural aging process for orange dragons to grow a head crest.

oh ya i see it!!! well in my opinion mabey it was just a mistake that those dragons looked like profeci. oh ya know what would be funny if artha and crew where chasing profeci and he ran into a group of those dragons that look like him and artha, beau kitt ect. had to find him.

oh by the way cool video furox!!

The Furox - August 20, 2007 03:32 PM (GMT)
Yeah, the Prophets would have some serious identity issues among themselves considering they all look alike (except for Propheci and possibly the other elders). I wonder if they can still tell each other apart. Maybe they're wearing name tags and we just can't see them. :)

Glad to hear you liked my video. :) I'm going to be starting on another fairly soon.
