Please check out our Art Policy
before making a report.

Plagiarism Report Procedure.

This forum has a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism. If you think you have found stolen art posted here, please follow this procedure:

Do not contact or make a post accusing the poster of theft. It is possible that there has been a mistake or some sort of username-confusion.

Fill out the form below and PM it to the Admin.

CODE
[b]Link to thread:[/b]
[b]Name of alleged plagiarist:[/b]
[b]Name of original artist:[/b]
[b]Link to original artist:[/b]
[b]Notes/further evidence:[/b]

After you have sent the form, please take no further action (such as spreading rumours.) It is possible that the Admin will contact you for more information.

If your own art has been stolen, please follow the above procedure, and mention it in the notes.

To avoid being accused of theft, it is important to always give correct credit whenever you post something that isn’t 100% your own creation, and always have permission from an artist before you modify or use their art.

The Admin will not always find plagiarised content. Please don't ignore it; report it.

Wow smart Idea. This could come in handy. I am not wondering who did it. But I love the idea and I hope to see more brilliant ideas from you! ^_^

This is just a bit of advice that I've found useful on many other forums.

If you find someone off site who you know has stolen Art from yourself or others from the board and there are comment capabilities, Be Polite. Going into someone's account and leaving threatening or personally insulting messages will not help the situation.

For example, "Hey you idiot you stole my art and I hope you go to hell for it" is not the right way to go about it. Some people are ignorant of the idea of Plagiarism or do not fully understand the concept.

A good way to approach people is a calm, polite but firm request. Explain yourself to the person before simply abusing the person. This will probably get you further than yelling.
