Chapter 1
The sky was clouded in darkness and I couldn’t see a foot in front of me. I walked a bit and saw a pair of red eyes staring at me. I turned and ran for my life, but the dragon magged me off my feet. It held me pull in the air and I tried to free myself from the mag, but it was know use. More red eyes started to appear and they came closer to me. I started to sweat and let out a howl. A black dragon eye started to glow on one of the dragon’s head. The dragon smirked and realised a mag right at me.
“Help,” I screamed, “Please someone help me.”
A gold mag hit the black mag and stopped it. The black dragon turned around and snarled. The Black and Gold Dragon roared and charged into battle with the Dragon Booster on its back. The black dragon realised me from its mag and I ran out of the way. All eight black dragons sent out a mag at the black and gold dragon. The dragon got hit with all of that energy and flew into a black wall. The Dragon Booster sat very limply on his saddle. The black dragon charged in at them and all I could hear was the horrible roar of the once all power Beaucephalis. I could see the Dragon Booster’s hand reach out of the pile of black dragons.
“Dad,” I screamed.
A tear went down my cheek and I started to tremble. Without even thinking I ran to one of the black dragons. As I ran my body started to turn white and an energy that I have never felt before came right out of my hand and hit the black dragon right in the head. The dragon turned his head and glow a happy tune that I heard every single morning.
I opened my eyes and saw myself in my bedroom with my alarm clock playing its song. My hand reached over and pressed a button to shut it off. I got out of hot bed and ran my fingers through my short light black hair.
“At lest it was just a dream,” I said to myself, with my heart still beating like a drum.
A black string was around my neck, but it didn’t have anything on it. I pulled off the covers and saw that my amulet had fallen off the string, again. It was in the shape of a spiral galaxy and it was silver in color. I put the amulet back on the string and hopped out of bed. I slipped on some basic clothes and ran down the stairs. I went down the stairs and saw a note posted on my vid game.
“Went to Mid City to get some equipment,” the note was signed dad.
I sat in a chair and flicked the vid game on. It was the game that dad designed with his friend when they were younger. I heard a whine from outside and a very loud scratching sound on the door. I got to my feet and opened the door and saw a white dragon looking at me. The dragon smiled and tried to get through the narrow doorway.
“Storm, you aren’t a hatchling anymore,” I said. “You are bigger then me.”
Storm made a sad face and bobbed his head up and down. I put the vid game back on the table and Storm back up from the door.
“What do you want to do?”
Storm darted into his stall and came out with a saddle on his head. He smiled at me and cocked his head up at the saddle.
I shuck my head, “Storm I am no dragon rider.”
Storm let out a whine and walked back into his room. Then I remembered that Storm was going to be sold tomorrow. He would be better off with someone would could actually race him. Storm lay on the floor and I sat beside him. I stroked his big blue chin gently.
“I am going to miss you, Storm.”

I can't seem to get it into good paragraphs so if someone knows how please tell me.
How so? Just add a blank line between each paragraph so it doesn't look so close together.
I like the story so far! I especially like how you've given Piper a sort of flaw right away, and added in a promise of future drama. Poor Storm! :)

Chapter 2
Storm stood very still as a stair case was pushed up by his body. Artha came out with a brand new saddle in his hand. Storm sent out a light gold mag and put the saddle on his head. Storm was the son of Beau, the Dragon of Legend. He looked just like is father, the only differences were the colors and Storm had a grey fin on his tail. I personally did not know who the mother was, but it had to be a white boned dragon. Thankfully the riders looking at Storm only knew that Beau was an academy class dragon.
Artha glance at me, “Piper are you okay?”
That snapped me out of my daydreaming, “sure dad, I am just going to miss Storm.”
Artha smiled and patted me on the shoulder, “Storm is going to be the fastest dragon around and be well taken care of.”
Storm glanced at the track that was around the stables, there was a blue dragon on it. The dragon dug his claws into the ground to stop. Durst flew every everywhere. The rider took off his helmet and smiled.
“Piper, how is it going,” The blue dragon mag off his rider.
“Chaz, nothing much, but you seem to be in a cheerful mode.”
Chaz was one of my best friends. He had blue eyes and hair. Chaz said his hair was naturally blue, but it is always fun to bug him about it.
“I don’t mean to pull my own horn,” Chaz turned his back and there was a blue thunderbolt on the back of his racing jacket.
“You made it into the Inner Order Crew,” I said with a little shock, “congratulation.”
“Of course I couldn’t have done it without Telum.”
Storm let out a growl and so did Telum.
A two legged black dragon walked with a rider in the saddle. It’s red eyes shone in the sunlight.
I started to sweat, “I saw the same dragon in my dream.”
Artha must have seen the fear in my hazel eyes, “Who are you and what do you want!?”
The rider wore a black cloak and you couldn’t see if he had a body at all. If only he had a sickle in his hand, he would be the grim reaper himself.
“I have come to buy that dragon,” he said, as he pointed at Storm.
I gave my dad a frightening look, “don’t do it.”
Artha looked at me and seemed to share the same feelings.
“I am Grim and if you don’t take my offer, I will take the dragon by force.”
Telum magged on Chaz and stud in front of the black dragon. Chaz
grabbed a small piece of gear and pressed a button. The end got longer and became a mag sword.
“Chaz, this to no time to play hero,” I shouted, “He will kill you!!”
Telum held his ground and Grim laughed “you should really listen to your girl friend. Reaper will you do the honours.” The dragon charged up mag and realised it.
“Duck,” cried Artha as pushed me flat on my stomach.
The mag hit Telum right in the chest. He howled in pain and was pushed into the air. Storm snarled and jumped into battle. Reaper turned his body and slammed Storm with his tail. Storm hit the ground hard with a grunt. Grim pulled a very weird energy whip drain out of his cloak and throw it out at Storm. The end latched onto Storm’s shoulder and very tiny metal claws dug into his scales. Storm howled, but couldn’t get rid of the energy drain whip.
“Foolish creature, the more you move the deeper the claws will dig into your flesh,” snarled Grim.
Blood started to ooze out of Storm. Artha sent out a mag push at Reaper, but Reaper sent out a mag of his own and cancelled out Artha’s.
“You are not so high and mighty now,” laughed Grim. “I would love to stay and chat, but I got things to do.”
Grim’s hand went into his cloak and pulled out a disrupter mine. He tossed it on the ground. The mine hit the ground and started to blink red on and off.
“Storm,” I yelled. I put one foot forward, Artha held me back.
“We will find another way to save Storm,” said Artha, “and that is a promise.”
The mine went off and smoke filled the air. I could hear the black dragon foot steps and a dragging sound. Storm’s cry filled the air. I was glad there was smoke, so know one could see the tear running down my cheek.
(A mag sword is like a blocking staff, but it has a handle. If you see any Bolts in my story it is Telum. I called Telum, Bolt at first, but the name Bolt had all ready taken. Telum means Bolt in Latin, you got to love Latin  )

I agreed with you on that. My other fan fic with Talanater and his rider, I made the story way to complex and I stopped working on it. But with this one I can play god (if anyone is mad about my comment, sorry) or in simple words, I don't have to follow the original storyline.
The Hydrag - June 14, 2007 05:11 AM (GMT)
That is a most excellent story. I must read how they get Storm back. Nice touch on the names of the bad guys. PLEASE UPDATE!!!
The Great Grey - June 14, 2007 05:21 AM (GMT)
YES  some actully got my play on names. I was stuck on what to call them, but Grim and Reaper came to mind. I couldn't think of anything eviler at the time :poof:

Chapter 3
The darkness of the smoke cleared. I turned my head and saw Telum slowly getting to his feet. I looked at the puddle of blood on the ground. I looked at my father, hoping he would say something, anything.
“The Dragon Eyes,” hissed Chaz, “they must have caused this.”
Even though I did not know much about the Dragon Eye Crew today, the one thing I knew that Psi class dragon usually ran on all fours. I also knew in the past when Artha was fighting them that the Dragon Eyes worked together, not on their own.
“No,” said Artha calmly, “I will call Dragon City Security; they will get to the bottom of this.”
There was silent, but I broke it, “why don’t we go after them?” That was the weirdest thing that has ever, ever come out of my mouth. I looked at Artha to see if he would support my idea.
Chaz smiled, “sure me and you could go after him and get Storm back.”
Artha started to walk to the house and gestured me to follow him. Like a hatchling on a leash, I followed. Artha closed the door behind me. Then he went into another room.
“I am guessing that you are not going to go after him?”
Artha came back with box in his hands. He put the box carefully on the ground.
“I would Piper, but Beau is too big to go out into the city.”
I couldn’t argue there, Beau couldn’t even fit on a track now let a lone walk between buildings.
“I am going after Grim with Chaz, and there is nothing you can say or do that could stop me.”
“No I can’t stop you from going. I can see in your eyes that you are determined to go and one thing I know is once you are determined to do something, you will do it know matter what.”
“Oh, that wasn’t very dramatic,” I joked.
Artha smiled and pulled open the box. I saw a very old racing jacket and a helmet. That old junk brought back a flood of memories. I used to play with that all the time when I was little. I smiled, I was surprised that it was still in mint condition. Artha picked up the racing and brush off the dust from it. He held it out in front of him.
“Take it; you need it more than I do.”
“Dad, can’t take this, it belongs to you.”
“Not anymore.”
I took the jacket. Artha reached back into the box and pulled out a white gantlet. My mouth went dry; I have seen my father’s gold gantlet, so I knew what this meant.
“Is their other Booster,” I asked.
“Perhaps, perhaps not,” said Artha. “Take it with you can see if you can find the Booster.”
I took it and slipped into my pocket. A new Booster, I wonder who it could be?
dolphinliss - June 15, 2007 02:55 AM (GMT)

I would like to thank everyone for reading my fan fic, since only after five days, my fic has been upgraded to "Hot Topic" Thank you for your comments and the guest too. Here's another Chapter
Chapter 4
Chaz, Telum and I searched all of Mid City, but couldn’t find any leads about where Storm was taken to. I was surprised that my back was still intact because I was crammed in Telum’s saddle, behind Chaz. I glanced around at all the white dragons that we past to see if they could be the new Dragon of legend. But how really can you tell, most powerful dragons have a race form and a fighter form. The last place that we hadn’t looked for Storm was Squire’s End. Squire’s End is a very scary place. The alleys are very dark and damp; it had trouble writing all over it. And thanks to my father’s helmet, my bangs were forced in font of my eyes; I could hardly see at all. I should have gotten a hair cut. Chaz still thought the Dragon Eyes stole Storm, know matter how many times I told him it wasn’t them. Telum dug his claws into the pavement to a stop and growled uneasily.
“We got company,” said Chaz.
Four black dragons crept out of the darkness. They all walked on four legs. One of the riders held out his arm and a purple tracking dragon landed. My heart skipped a beat, the Dragon Eyes meant business.
“Isn’t it passed you bed time?” asked the leader. He glanced at me and the racing jacket I was wearing. His eyes narrowed, “an other stable brat, where do these people come from?”
I pulled off my helmet, so I could see who was talking. His skin was pale and I could see white hair flowing out the helmet.
He smiled at me, “or maybe mop head would be a better name.”
“We don’t have time to play your little games, James,” said Chaz, “we are to take back the dragon that you stole.”
“It wasn’t them!!”
“What are you talking about?” hissed James. He turned to a rider and that dragon stepped forward. “Tell them Roger.”
“The Dragon Eyes do bad things, but we don’t steal dragons,” Roger said coolly. His dragon had a visor covering its eyes.
Chaz opened his mouth to speak, but I cut him off, “have you seen a back two legged dragon pulling a white dragon behind him?”
James’s face turned red in rage, “of course I have, that hooded freak stole my gear.”
My eyes sparkled; maybe we could help each other out.
“And we stole that gear fair and square,” growled Roger.
James glared at Roger “Roger will gladly take you to the spot were we last saw him.”
“WHAT!” snapped Roger, “I have better things to do?”
“Then don’t speak out of turn again,” said James coolly. James’s
dragon smirked; it pays to be the leader’s dragon. “Let’s go Dragon Eyes.”
The Dragon Eyes took off into the night, leaving Roger and his dragon behind. I could hear Roger muttering something under his breath.
“Let’s go,” he snapped, “the sooner I get rid of you the better.”
“I couldn’t agree with you more,” said Chaz.
I slip my helmet back on, “then what are we waiting for.”
The black dragon raced through an alley and Bolt followed. The small black dragon’s claws seemed to make no sound on the pavement at all.
After a while I had to pop the question, “why does you dragon wear a visor.”
Roger seemed to ignore my question, but then I bright light flicked on. My eyes felt like they were on fire, but the feeling quickly passed.
“Ravage, is not too fond of bright lights.”
“Isn’t everybody?” asked Chaz sacristy.
Roger glared at Chaz and pulled Ravage to a stop, “this is where we last saw him.”
It was right in font of a gear shop that had a circle cut out of the window. Roger pulled Ravage around and started to walk back through the alley.
“Thank you,” I said.
Roger put Ravage into a run and disappeared.

Chapter 5
Glass was scattered everywhere on the ground. I walked around to see if I could find anything that could be a clue. Then I saw a dragon tail go around a corner. I walked to the corner and looked around it. A black mag shot out and tossed me. I fell on the ground, but the thing jumped at me. I reached into my pocket and pulled out my father’s blocking staff. I closed my eyes and tried to keep the thing away from me. I opened my eyes and saw that the thing was Storm. I knew this for sure because the dragon’s shoulder was covered in dried blood from the energy drain whip that was once there. Storm was growling and pushing on the staff, that was between his teeth.
“Storm what are you doing?” I yelled, “It’s me, Piper.”
Storm growled and continued to push. Storm’s once gold eyes which were so full of life was clouded in darkness. Then it hit me, Beau did the same thing when he was affected with liquid black Draconium. How could this happen, Word Paynn was dead.
“Chaz where are you!?”
Telum flew around the corner and with all of this might, he slammed into Storm. Storm hit the ground, but got up incredible fast.
“Are you okay,” asked Chaz.
All I could do was put up my thumb. A dark figure appeared on a building. It was Grim on his dragon, Reaper.
“Well done, Storm,” he said.
“Why do you do this,” I yelled, I wasn’t in the mood to be nice anymore.
“Is it obvious; Storm is the first dragon to serve in my new army. He is the son of a great dragon that made the academy, a perfect dragon to lead my army.”
At least he didn’t know that his father was the Dragon of Legend.
“I thought it would be fun to see your beloved dragon tear you limb by limb.”
Grim wave his hand and Storm charged right at me. Bolt ran at Storm, but Storm release a mag and tossed Telum aside. I started to run, but Storm landed right in font of me. He snapped at my hands and I had step backwards to avoid his sharp teeth. I was scare out of my mind and it didn’t get any better when the back of my foot didn’t touch solid ground. I slipped, but I grabbed the edge. Storm roared and with an open mouth, he planed to take off my head. I pressed the button the staff to make it long and with all of my strength swung the staff. The staff hit Storm right in the head and he howled in agony. Storm swung his head all over the place. I blue mag came towards me and started to pick me up.
“I got you,” yelled Chaz.
Storm was still going nuts and step in the way of the mag stream. The blue mag around my body disappeared. I started to fall.
“NOOO,” I screamed, “I don’t what to die.”
Storm placed his paw on the edge and slipped. Storm let out a roar as he fell. As I was falling I could see at the edge, looking as if he was going to jump. Then a black mag hit the blue dragon. Storm still wanted to kill me, even if he was going to die too. I flew on to Storm’s back. I could feel Storm’s muscles tighten and he went into a mad rage, to try and get me off.
Storm was a good dragon and he was turned into a monster. Why do people do such cruel things to dragons and for what, to gain power? Dragons are more then just tools for war fair, they are our equals and should be treated such. The funny and supportive Storm was gone, forever. Why can’t dragons and humans just get along?
Storm let out a roar and stopped struggling. Something started to appear on Storm’s head. As I looked closer it was a sliver spiral galaxy. I was in shock and pulled out my amulet, it looked exactly the same. Storm roar again and the darkness that controlled him, flew from his scales. The spiral on Storm’s head faded and he smiled, he was back to his old self. I reached into my pocket and pulled out the white gantlet that my father gave to me to give to the new Booster. I put the gantlet on my arm and took off the amulet that hung around my neck. Am I the new Booster, only one way to find out?
“Release The Wind,” I cried.
dolphinliss - June 17, 2007 01:37 AM (GMT)
awesome, go Piper
more, more :D
The Hydrag - June 17, 2007 05:55 AM (GMT)
Very nice. Im impressed the story is still quite interesting. And you also have a very nice Cathc phrase for the new Booster. Would you mind describing what exactly Storm looks like after the transformation.
Keep it up!
The Great Grey - June 17, 2007 06:02 AM (GMT)
When he is evil every color on his body is darker, but he looks the same. In the next Chapter *Dum roll* you will see his fighter form. Here's another Chapter
Chapter 6
I placed the amulet in the gantlet. The amulet fit perfectly and the gantlet started to glow. White light came out of the gantlet, it swirled around me and accepted its embrace. When the light was gone I saw that my arms were covered in armour. The arms seemed to a piece of sharp metal on the side. Storm looked way different; I couldn’t believe it was him. The sliver spiral showed on his head and he had frills like his father. Storm closed his eyes and his spiral started to glow. He spread his legs apart and a white light appeared. Then wing like frills burst out of the light. Storm started to soar up, we weren’t falling anymore we were flying. Well I guess we were gliding up, but who cares. Storm reached the other side and his frills folded neatly under his body. I looked around, we far quite away from where we were. A sick feeling of Chaz fight Grim all by himself went through my stomach.
“Come on boy,” I said, “we have to go and help Chaz.”
Storm nodded his head and picked up something in his teeth. I took it and it was an empty vile. I slipped this in my pocket to save for later. Storm started to run; I gripped his neck as tight as I could. Riding a dragon bareback is not fun. I was bobbing up and down, but thankfully the armour helped weigh me down. I just hoped nobody was watching, or worst, video tapping this. I heard a snarl, we must be getting close. Reaper had his foot on Telum and Chaz was still in the saddle.
“Hey why don’t you pick on someone smaller then you?”
Reaper lifted his head and looked straight at me. Grim pulled out his whip and cracked it. Reaper charged at us. Storm dug his claws into the pavement and pushed off. I grabbed my staff and made it long. Reaper came closer and closer. At the last minute Strom lowered himself to the ground and kicked his back legs and tail out. Reaper got tripped and hit the ground with a thud. Grim fell out of the saddle. He looked around, I knew what he was thinking.
I pulled out the empty vile, “looking for the dragon that you stole.”
Grim cracked his whip angrily, “Liquid Gold Draconium!? Where did you get it?”
Ha he actually fell for it, “that is my little secret.”
I knew that Liquid Gold Draconium helped my father, free Beau, but what freed Strom from the darkness?
“The rider,” asked Chaz as Telum got to his feet, “is she all right.”
I was shocked by Chaz’s words, how could he not know it was me? Did this helmet muffle up my voice or what? No, the helmet didn’t cover my mouth. The rider part was interesting as well; did Chaz think I could be a good dragon rider?
“She is fine,” I said.
“She may be fine, but you won’t be so lucky,” hissed Grim.
Reaper mag Grim and he pulled out another whip. He held one whip in each hand. I wonder how he could fight me in a cloak?
“Mag me Storm,” I yelled, I can’t believe those words came out of my mouth.
Storm charged up a mag and picked me off his back. Grim sent out one of his whip, but I put out my staff out, so the whip wrapped around the staff. Grim wasn’t finished; the second whip flew at me. I put the staff in my left hand and uppercut the metal part of the whip. The metal broke in half. I glanced at the metal on my arm, it was a blade. With that in mind I sliced the rope of the whip that was around my staff. The metal piece of the whip fell harmlessly to the ground. Grim looked surprised. Now for the biggest question of all, how do you move on a mag stream? Then an idea clicked into my head, I tossed my staff right at Grim’s head. The staff hit him dead on, that has got to hurt. Reaper magged Grim back into the saddle.
“You will pay for this,” he hissed.
Reaper turned around and ran away; Storm let out a victory roar. He put me back on his back and magged my staff back to me.
Telum walked over, “So you are the Wind Booster,” asked Chaz.
I nodded my head, “Piper is over in Mid City, resting after the fall that she had.” Man it is really weird talking about yourself like you are other person.
Chaz smiled, “thank you.”
He put Telum in a run and raced away. I stared into the alley. Storm started to walk and went past the gear shop glass. I looked into the glass and saw myself in the armour. The helmet looked like a dragon’s head with small wings on the top. Why me, of all the people Storm chose me to be the Wind Booster. Why did I even call myself the Wind Booster?
“I guess we should get going.”
Storm smiled and took off down the street.

that was really interesting
here's a tip though, try not to use their names in every sentance, maybe every second sentance, because after a while it gets to repetitive and readers begin to get bored
here's an example:
QUOTE
Grim fell out of the saddle. Grim looked around, I knew what he was thinking.
you could change the second Grim to 'he', so it'd look like
Grim fell out of the saddle. He looked around, I knew what he was thinking.
i hope this helps! can't wait for the next chapter!

Oh you are talking about the one on my web site. Well I think I am ditching that part for right now. I just stuck it in there and in my opinion it wasn't that great. But it is not out of the question since I am keeping the stuff I have all ready writen. I might put that part later on or if I make a sequal to this fan fic.

Chapter 7
Storm and I were at dead end. I reached for the amulet and pulled it out of the gantlet. The armour faded and Storm returned to his old self. I looked at the amulet, which still had its string. It was hard to believe that this small thing held so much power. Artha gave it to me when I was little, I forget the exact date. He told me that it represented the four elements, earth, water, fire and wind. He was most likely telling the true, well it makes sense to me. I think is goes earth covers up water, water puts out fire, fire burns wind and wind blows earth. Wind is one of the elements, but the name might not be even the Wind Booster, it was just the first thing that popped into my head. It could be the Snow Booster or the Cloud Booster or even the Marshmallow Booster. I smiled to myself, the Marshmallow Booster? Now dumb is that? I put the amulet back around my neck, where it belonged. I heard a growling sound, I tensed up. Storm poked me in the back and whined. I knew where that growl was coming from, Storm’s stomach.
“Sorry boy I don’t bring anything,” I said.
Storm gave me a sad look. A blue dragon stopped in the mouth of the alley it was Telum.
“Piper are you okay?” asked Chaz.
“I am alive aren’t I?”
Chaz looked at his watch, “it is 12:00 pm and I got a race at 7:00 am.”
Normally I would be a little ticked that he put his race before me, but Chaz had done enough, more then I would ever have asked him to do.
“Chaz I can make it home on my own, you can go back to the Inner Order and get ready for your race.” Of course I knew he was just going to sleep.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, go scrap scales.”
Chaz turned his dragon out of the alley and took off. Storm put one paw forward and let out a whine. I looked back at Storm’s shoulder that was still covered in dried blood. The adrenaline that flowed through Storm’s body must have worn off. I looked at the bright lights of Dragon City, they were beautiful, but it would be a very long walk to get back to Penn Stables.
“Come on Storm we have a long walk ahead of us.”
I walked out of the alley and Storm limped off after me. Me the new Booster, I never thought this could happen.

Some Piper and Storm bonding here.
Chapter 8
It was about one o’clock in the morning when we finally reached Penn Stables. Storm’s limp had gotten worst, no big surprise there. I was ready to hit the sack. Storm nudged my arm and looked in the direction of the house. I assume that if your daughter was off fighting a skill dragon rider that someone would be running out the house to see if you were still alive. Artha or no Artha, I still had to treat Storm’s wounds.
“Come on,” I said, “let’s go to your stall.”
I walked to his stall and press a button. The stall doors opened with a very loud slam.
“They should really make better locks on these doors.”
Storm chuckled and sat on the ground. I walked to a shelf and looked at all the bottles and other things. I grabbed a bottle, rags and a bandage. I looked at the wound and then at the bottle. An open wound and liquid don’t go together too well. I pulled out my staff and activated it.
“Storm, can you hold this for a second,” I asked.
Storm gave me a puzzled look, but took the staff in his mouth anyways. I soaked one of the rags and gently patted the wound. Storm let out a whine and tightens his mouth around the staff. Storm smiled uneasily at me, he knew what the staff was for now. I put a bandage on the wound. Storm spate out the blocking staff. I walked to the staff and I was about to pick it up, but I could see a shinny coat of lovely dragon slobber.
“I will pick that up later,” I said. Storm limped over to me and nudged my head gently, “Your welcome boy.”
Storm stretched out his font legs and he lay on the floor. I sat beside him. I stroked his blue head. I still want to know how I freed Storm from the darkness and how Storm could be a Dragon of Legend all this time. Maybe my feelings of peace between dragons and humans, reminded Storm of his true purpose, to stop the Third Dragon, Human War.

I am really surprise that people really like this fan fic, since it does not have the main characters that we know and love, in it. Since his is the internet I thought I would get really mean comments, I was wrong. Well at least 408 people like my story. I will try to continue it, over the summer. Thank You All, for your kindness.
Chapter 9
I opened my eyes and saw only darkness. Have I gone blind, wait a second. I shuck my head and my helmet fell off my head. It rolled on the hard ground; I was still in Storm’s stall. I leaned against Storm’s body, who had his head on my lap. I gently pushed Storm’s head off of my lap. Storm’s eyes shot open. My heart skipped a beat and Storm chuckled.
“Don’t do that!”
Storm slowly got to his feet. His shoulder seemed to be better. I got to my feet and fluffed up my hair with my hands. Sleeping with a helmet on all night can give you extreme helmet head. Storm let out a snort and turned around. He swished his tail back and forth. With his tail fin, he made a really good fan. My hair soon returned to its puff state, maybe I little too puffy.
“Thanks dragon blower. Can you check the house to see if anyone is in their?”
Storm nodded his head and walked out of the stall. I walked to the side of the stall and found a handle. I pushed on the handle, but it wouldn’t budge. My father told me to only to go to the temple if there was an emergency, I think this counted. I wiped my hands on my pants and I tried again. The handle moved an inch; this was going to take a while. I turned my head. Storm came walking in and he shuck his head sadly. Storm gave me a puzzled look and came over to see what I was doing.
“I can’t get this door to open,” I complained.
I removed my hands from the handle. Storm took over by putting his head under the handle and pushed. The handle flipped up and the wood panels moved up and down. A gold light shone into my eyes.
“We are going to get to the bottom of this,” I said.
Storm nodded his head and we both walked into the light.
* * *
We arrived at the old temple, but my stomach was still at the stables. Storm walked up ahead. I followed with a yucky taste in my mouth. We passed the statues that glowed gold.
“Hello,” I called.
There was only an echo. Storm let out roar and the roar echoed back.
“I guess I wasn’t loud enough.”
Storm swished his tail playfully. My gantlet started to glow and so did the amulet inside my racing jacket. I lifted the amulet off of my neck moved it back and forth. It continued to glow.
“Looks like we have a compass,” I said.
We walked through the temple. I looked at everything in aw, I had been down in the temple a couple times, but this was different. I might have to save the world, like my farther did, so many years ago. We finally came to a wall engraved with many symbols. My amulet stop glowing, we had reached our destination. There was my amulet engraved in the wall, but also a mountain, a fire and waves. Well my four elements theory was right, but what did it mean. Something looked out of place; there was a note written on paper stuck to the wall. I took the note, it was from Artha.
Piper if you are reading this you must have gotten Storm back. That was a very brave thing to do and I am proud of you. I have sensed a large amount of black Draconium in the wastelands, so I have gone to check it out. I don’t know when I will be back, but don’t worry; I have brought Beau with me. There is a new saddle and gear in the one of the stalls just in case you need it. Don’t rampage around the house too much. Love Dad.
I looked at the note, stunted and I bit angry.
“Just when I need him to help me, he takes off,” I snapped.
Storm’s eyes widen, he was surprised by my tone of voice.
“Sorry Storm, but I am just afraid of this whole Wind Booster thing.”
Storm’s eyes soften and he rubbed his head against my cheek as if say, “everything will be all right, I won’t leave your side.”
(I used the star things to show that some time had past, I was going to separate Chapters, but it seemed to short, even for me.)

Wow, thanks Burnout Beau, you being on this fourm a long time, you must have seen a lot of fan fics.
Chapter 10
Storm smacked his lips as he went through his food bowl. His shoulder was completely healed. I sat on the ground eating a Draconium-Yum Bar. I looked at Storm; I wish he wouldn’t eat so much, since soon I would have to pay for his food. I had Drakles, but it wasn’t that much. I only used it to buy vid games or other not very expensive things. I didn’t even want to know how much food cost and bills, I’m too young to pay bills. Well my father was hinting that I should race in the note. I wasn’t too sure about that. I could handle getting a couple of bruises, but Street Racing can be life threaten. One wrong move, you can end up on your butt, or worst. I shudder, I could think of a lot of things that can go in the “worst” column. Storm lifted his head from his bowl and burped. There were other things on my mind as well, what about Grim, he would come back. I had no training what so ever to fight him. Beating Grim was just luck, and I needed more then that to save my home. So I needed to race, to train to be the Wind Booster, I can’t win can I? Through the wrapper of Draconium-Yum Bar in a trash can.
“Come on Storm, let’s get you geared up,” I said, in a shaking tone.
Storm smiled, he seemed to have more confidents in me than I did. We walked to one of the stalls and I pressed a button. The doors opened, the stall was filled with so many different kinds of gears. I had to think, Storm was a light gold, so the closest gear that would match him would be white. White Areo Gear would be a good start.
“Storm mag that gear and the saddle,” I said pointing to the gear and saddle.
Storm light gold mag shot across the stall and placed the gear on his back. Red Thrusters Gear would be good as well, to get ahead and get away from danger.
“Storm mag the thrusters.”
Storm did what he was told. Two kinds of gears would be enough for today. I would have to get used to most of the gears in the stall, then I could pick the ones that worked for me. I jumped in the saddle. I was nice not to ride crammed into the saddle or bareback; my butt still hurts after that.
“Come on, lets go to the track,” I said.
Storm ran and I grip the handles so hard that my hands turned white. Storm must have sensed my tenseness and growled happily, most likely trying to cheer me up. I knew that I would be fine as long as Storm was with me, but it was still scary, I was facing my demon and I wasn’t looking forward to it.

Chapter 11
There were people and dragons everywhere. There was litter everywhere and children raced all over the place. I was so confused, where were we supposed to go?
“What are you doing here, mop head,” hissed a voice.
Storm let out a growl as black dragon approached with a rider in its saddle.
“Easy Storm, they helped Chaz and I find you,” I said calmly.
Storm stopped growling, but he wasn’t going to let his guard down that easily.
“You didn’t answer my question,” James snapped.
“I came to race,” I said.
“Ha you give me a break, you won’t last one minute out on the track and also there aren’t anymore races today, well not in your level, Stable Brat.”
I just stared at James, no one had every called me by that name, it was insulting. Nobody really hates me because I am a kind to everyone, what did I do to him.
“Oh, did I hurt the Stable Brat’s feelings; well I never knew Stable Brats had feelings.” James smirked, he was enjoying this.
I pulled on the handles, “See you on the track.”
I could hear James still yapping away, but I blocked it out. There were more important things, to worry about.
* * *
The starting gate pulled up. Dragons glared down the track. I grasped the handles of the saddle; I was scared out of my mind. James and his dragon went to the starting gate. Storm let out a growl, he was ready to run. The gate flipped down, dragons of all colors ran out of the gate. We were behind five other dragons. Being last was a bad place; if one dragon fell your dragon could fall right after it. I flipped lid and pressed the button underneath it. The thrusters came to life and we took the lead. I turned off the thrusters a little ahead of the leader. James and his dragon came on the right and stayed a bit ahead of us.
“Drakkus, why don’t you show them how’s it’s done,” said James.
Drakkus smiled and swung his thick tail. With out even thinking I pressed another button. The Aero gear shot out and hit Drakkus’s body. The black dragon stubble and stopped his attack. Drakkus let out a hiss. I pressed the button again and the Aero gear withdrew. The other racers pasted us. James pulled back on the handles what was, he doing, he could past me. He pressed a button and Green Ramming gear covered Drakkus’s face. James pulled the handles to the left. Drakkus’s head hit Storm’s head hard. Storm let out a growl. I turned on the Thrusters again and we got away from Jame’s assault. Storm ran along the track. The farther we were away from them, the better. The Thrusters turned off, we past a four legged purple dragon. There was a ramp up ahead. I steered Storm towards it. He jump off the ramp. I turned on both of my gear and we flew through the air. I could see the finish line up ahead. Storm landed and we crossed the finish line. Third last, not bad for my first race.
