I really don't know where to put this, because I get the feeling it belongs in the msc. section, but it seems like hardly anyone ever goes there and that kinda defeats the purpose...Anyway, I am starting a "crew" for members on this site. Users can join and it'll be like a club kinda thing. It won't be like a crew from the show, where there is a leader, and a primary bone-color, and a compound and stuff. It is for people who are similar, to get together and stuff. It will be called the Dragon Rehab Association. The only requirement for joining is that you have adopted at least one dragon from the adoptions thread. Why? Because all of the members of this "crew" help rehabilitate abandoned and abused dragons. As the person who started this crew I will be the "leader" but I promise I won't exersise any power unless it is to sort out disputes, etc. between members of the crew. Things that need to be handled by someone who isn't directly involved. If I am one of the people involved, I will delegate that responsibility to someone else. In the interest of fairness, I will write down five other members' names (on a piece of paper) and number them, and have the other person pick a number. The person who matches that number will be the one to make the decisions.

I have a design I would like to use for the symbol, but anyone who wants to join will be entitled to input.


...I would also prefer it if those who joined had characters that could fit in with cannon. (i.e no new boosters, no recolors, etc. ...because they kinda bug me, but it's your guys' decisions on making them or not, not mine. Let's face it, we all have our pet peeves and we all have to deal with them, so I'll deal with mine too.)

i already have adopted a dragon and can easily come up with a simple cannon character that isn't anything special like you said. How about....Hanabi(it's one of my nicknames)

Well, I have an image I would like to use as the symbol, but it isn't for any one person to decide. Majority rules on this one. Seeing as it is only you and me right now (c'mon people! We don't bite! *Malyss walks up* ...Much.) it wouldn't take much to decide on a symbol, but I want to wait a bit and see if anyone else wants to join us, so they can get a say in the matter as well. They would have to live with the design too.

I was thinking that maybe after we finalize our symbol, we could put it in our sig or something, so that we can all recognize each other at a glance...or something like that. XD

I like the idea, but I have just one question, what if you don't exactly want to adopt a dragon? If we really have to I can cause I really like this idea and would like to join. And if I join I'll just use my user name.

Well, the point of the crew is for people who adopt and rehabilitate dragons to have a sort of metaphorical "support group", if I'm making any sense. Maybe you (or the two of us) could start another for a more generalized group...

Actulay I believe I just adopted a pet just tobe sure. I not exactly sure if I permently adopted her cause it was my first time and I just not sure. (does that make sence if not sorry)

I saw your post in the adoption thread, so even if that ends up not working out for some reason (if dark doesn't actually have an image for her) you can still join as long as you are going to look for another one to adopt. I'll accept you on faith that you will soon. So welcome aboard! :cookie:

I'm not exactly sure what you have in mind for the club, but it sounds like a variation of role playing. If so, wouldn't it be better to do this on one of the role playing forums?

It's not exactly roleplaying...I've done quite a bit of that before. This is more like...gah, I always have a hard time finding the word I'm looking for....well....like a club. If we get annother member or two I have a place I can set up for DRA stuff, so we won't clutter up LF's boards with out chitter chatter and stuff. It would just be for crew-only stuff, so we would still be around here alot, but you guys wouldn't have to put up with any eyesores. Actually, I'd better start doing that now. *bustles off*
