Title: Dragon Booster Soundtrack
Description: C'mon the background music ROCKS!
Mari - April 29, 2007 11:04 PM (GMT)
Ok. I've been rather fond of the background music in Dragon Booster for quite some time. Recently, I've started thinking about the songs and the titles. Examples: Racing theme, Mechanist theme, Kitt's theme, Mortis/Connor theme, etc. So, I used The Furox's link in Parmon's Workshop to contact the writer of the Dragon Booster soundtrack, Bob Buckley.
Here's a copy of the EMail:

| Hi. I'm a huge fan of the Dragon Booster TV show, and I greatly admire the music you've written for it. You have a facinating selection for the show and all of it complements what is going on. I was wondering: is there was any chance that a soundtrack would become available for purchase at any point in time? If so, where would I be able to buy it? |
| QUOTE ("Response") |
Hi Mari,
Thanks for the kind words! It was fun composing for the show and a lot of work. So far, there has been no talk about releasing a soundtrack album...but if enough people ask for it from Nerdcorps maybe they will respond. Try writing to tina@nerdcorps.com
Cheers, Bob |
So... Anybody want to help me get the Dragon Booster soundtrack by writing and asking for it?
I've already written The Magna Draconis and 3DPete here on the board, just so everybody knows. ;)

I watch the episodes so much that I can't get that music out of my head. I don't exactly need to queue it up on my computer and listen to it constantly. I'm content to hum it endlessly for now. Although it is good music, maybe I'll join this effort later on...
However for the moment I will continue to text-hum obnoxiously.
OMG I love that part where it goes DUNN DUNN DUNN DUNN DUN DAAAAAAA! and the part where the trumpet goes Doot doo dee dot do daaaaaa! every once in awhile. And that part during the race where it's all:
Wackacha Wackacha Wackacha bawowow Wackacha Wackacha DRAGIN BOOSTER THEME SONG! Aroooooo! A bum BUM! Wackacha Wackacha Wackacha!

I would. I love the music from the show. :)
I doubt it would be economical the make and distribute CDs, so this would probably be a good candidate for the iTunes music store.
If you get a response from Tina at Nerd Corps, ask her how people should show their desire for a soundtrack release. I imagine she'd get annoyed if we all flooded her inbox with requests, so see if there's something else we can do to show our support.

that would be awesome if we could get a soundtrack on itunes and it could also help get the actual episodes on itunes as well.
i too LOVE the music
Elushun - April 30, 2007 01:42 AM (GMT)
There is a campaign to get the soundtrack on iTunes advertized on dragon-city.org.
Linky!

Great Idea!!! That music is so DRAC. Unlike the rest of the people on here I cant keep the tune IN my head so I do need the songs to listen to.:-) Ill write both places as soon as I leave this area. Good luck everyone!
Edit: Allready did it! And I warned her that possibly many more e-mails would be coming in the future.

I love Khatah's theme! I think maybe I'll write an e-mail too... if I can get into my stupid hotmail account. *kicks the troublesome account*
Khatah's theme! XD *raging Inner Order fan*
And actually, a soundtrack would be nice since I hardly ever notice the songs... O.o

Another good reason to have the OST!!! (original soundtrack) That and it really is just plain awesome!!
The Furox - May 14, 2007 03:06 PM (GMT)
Did you ever hear back from Tina at Nerd Corps about this?
Dragon Fanatic - May 15, 2007 01:44 AM (GMT)
I totally agree! There should be a soundtrack. I love soundtracks and the DB music! ^_^

What's the problem with your account? I might be able to help you out. I have a hotmail account too and it works fine. Make sure your password and address are exactly the same as when you submitted it. It's a common problem. If you forgot your password, click 'Forgot your password?' It'll give a clue. One thing could be if you changed the password and you didn't know it. Let me know the problem. I can help you out.

I like Khatah's Theme, as well as the piece which is basically a drawn out version of the main theme (it plays when Artha is about to score near the end of Damaged Goods), so I'd love a soundtrack.
It'd also be good if Bob got a MySpace account and stuck some music up there for download.
The Furox - June 9, 2007 06:38 PM (GMT)
Khatah's theme is great! And so is the music through the whole Horn of Libris race sequence (still one of my favorite sequences). In fact, the music in all the race sequences is really great.

He does have his own web site which I've linked to off dragon-city.org (see the
Parmon's Workshop page):
Bob Buckley ProductionsHe's got a couple dozen samples of his music in the Demos section, though no DB music unfortunately. I'm not sure who ended up owning the rights to the music in DB, so he may not be able to post the music even if he wanted to. Still, I really wish we could get a soundtrack so we could use the music in our own videos.
As has been mentioned above, I think our best chances of getting the music released is via iTunes.
Click here to request a DB soundtrack on iTunes. While you're there, request the TV series itself be sold on iTunes as well. :)

Slight problem...
It asks for the version of ITunes you're using, well, what if we're not using ANY version of ITunes or if we are and didn't know it, how do we find out what version we're using? I want to support this soundtrack idea, I think its a great idea!
The Furox - June 10, 2007 01:40 AM (GMT)
It doesn't really matter what you fill in for the version number. They're just taking a survey. Just pick the most recent version.
But if you really want to know, start up iTunes and go to the "About iTunes" item in the Help menu if you're on Windoze, or in the iTunes menu if you're on a Mac.

Nope, I never heard back from Tina about this. I'm thinking about re-emailing her and letting her know that we've started requesting it on iTunes, and that there's a bunch of support for an OST on the board.
