This is a clarification post to adapt relevant forum rules for this section. You must read the Fanfic Header before posting here.

Edited and abbreviated forum rules (read the originals if you have not already done so):

- No multiple posting. If you make a mistake or forget something, edit your original post instead of making a new one. It's okay to split larger posts, but two or three short posts in a row is annoying, and, more importantly, not allowed. This includes bumping a topic. Bumping is constantly posting in a topic to keep it at the top of the forum.

• Fanfiction-specific edit: You may multiple post if you are posting a new chapter or chapter portion. Reply to your reviews in one post if possible, and don't bump your fanfiction topic. Frequent posting of especially short chapters may be seen as bumping, but generally chapter posts will not qualify as multiple posting.

- No multiple posting of images.

• Fanfiction-specific edit: Images belong in the Fanart section, but feel free to link to images relevant to your fic. Do likewise for miscellaneous fanworks if relevant to fic.

- Please post topics in the right section.

• Fanfiction-specific edit: Please post topics generally related to fanfiction in the main section of the subforum, and post fanfics themselves in the main section or the Archive as necessary. See also the Archive rules.

- Posting links to personal, unrelated sites/boards/blogs in any area other than Advertising will be viewed as spamming. These posts/topics will be deleted, and the author will be warned. Repeat offenders will be banned.

- This forum is for a children's show. Any topics deemed inappropriate will be deleted, and the author will be warned severely and/or banned.

• Fanfiction-specific edit: Fanfics are generally expected to be rated PG-13 or below. Linking to higher rated fanfics hosted on other sites is acceptable. As per the Fanfic Header, you are always required to rate fic you post or link here. (The header topic includes a rough guide to rating your fic.)

- Use proper English, grammar, and spelling. This makes it easier for everyone to read and enjoy your posts. Posts with large amounts of netspeak will be deleted. Strictly no Leet, or '1337'. Allowances are made for users with English as a second language, however, that's no excuse for not trying your hardest.

• Fanfiction-specific edit: Yes please! (Fanfiction.net offers free downloads of Open Office if you do not already have a word processor with spellcheck installed. Many Internet sites also offer free spelling and grammar checking.)

- Do not bash or discriminate against other members' character or 'shipping preferences, nor the members themselves.

• Fanfiction-specific edit: Be aware of discrimination and prejudice, not so much on the 'shipping level because this section is where you come to write 'ships, but on wider societal levels. Try not to promote such in your stories, though of course it's understood that character and authorial opinions often diverge. If an author's header indicates they do not want concrit, honour their wishes. If you have permitted concrit on a story and you receive it, be polite when responding. Report all flames, rudeness and discrimination to the mod. (For definition of 'flame', see fanfic header topic.) This section is slash-friendly, femslash-friendly, any form of romantic relationship involving consenting people of reasonable age-friendly, het-friendly, and of course gen-friendly.

- Fanfiction-specific addenda:

• Private message the mod if you have any issues concerning this subforum; you can also bring your complaint to the admin if you disagree with the mod's decisions.
• You must include a header on your fics. See also the Archive rules if you have a completed fic you think might belong there.
• Do not plagiarise either original works or others' fanworks in your fanfiction. Use the fanfic plagiarism report procedure if you see any plagiarism.
• Please enjoy yourself here! Fanfic is a fun, creative endeavour; the rules and headers only try to make it easier to post and enjoy writing. If you have any suggestions to improve the section, send them to me! :)

Edit 08/07/07: I added the link to the fanfic plagiarism report procedure, though as theft of others' creative works plagiarism has always been inappropriate in this forum.
