Title: Beau Card
IbanezJFS - April 26, 2007 06:01 PM (GMT)
I FINALLY GOT THE BEAU CARD! Not only that but, I also got Word Paynn and Abandon. All in the same premire set. All I need now is Cyrano and Connor Penn and, then I will have the enitre Penn Stables. So does anybody have a Cyrano or Connor Penn they want to trade?

Congrats! Beau seems to be especially hard to get, though I'm sure it's just subjective since he's the one everyone wants the most. Seemed like forever until I found him myself. :)
Beau is a cool card since he mags all gear and can change color. Very handy. He's also the only dragon with balanced stats, so whatever color you pick for him means you can play any matching color event cards that have a burst of 4 or less right away on turn one. That can give you an edge if you build your deck correctly. :)
I'm afraid I don't have an extra Cyrano or Connor Penn though, so I can't offer you a trade. Hope you find them!

First of all, Nice sig. Very Funny. What episode is that from? As for the point of them. To win the race. They did a great job constructing this card game.

I've got both of them... but Cyrano I'm not willing cause he was my first dragon card and Connor's pretty valuable; 'Change the color of your gragon at will when you play this card. Sorry...

As IbanezJFS says, the card game basically tries to emulate a dragon race. You pick your dragon and then outfit it with your chosen gear and a crew to help you during the game. During the game, you play maneuver and event cards which can either help you advance towards the finish line or can be used to battle your opponent during the race. Just like in the show, you can attack your opponent with your gear or can bash your opponent's gear and crew to disable them. There are huge number of different ways to put the cards together and many different strategies to try, and that's part of the fun of the game: figuring out what cards work well together and figuring out how to develop an overall strategy that both helps you get to the finish line and attack/defend against your opponent. I think the game is a lot of fun and I thoroughly enjoyed the tournaments I played in when they were running them locally. I'm proud to say I'm undefeated here in the San Francisco area, though that's not really saying all that much since very few people ever played. :)
Hey IbanezJFS, did you ever get the Cyrano card? Cyrano comes in starter decks and he's in one out of every three starters, so he's not all that hard to find.

He may not be hard to find but, Connor is. I would order more but, right now I have to be a little conservatice with money at the moment. But, Friday is payday so anything can happen.

Yeah, Connor is going to a lot harder to locate since he's only found in booster packs. There are a total of 107 crystal cards (including Connor). Three of the dragons come in starter decks, leaving the remaining 104 to be found in boosters, and there's only 1 of them in a booster pack. That means that on average you'll have to open 104 boosters before finding any given crystal card. It's a lot to open, but you'll find him eventually. :-)
