The Story Hat (the company that created Dragon Booster for those of you who don't follow such trivia :)) just launched a new version of their corporate web site today. Check it out:

The coolest part about it is they're now including a direct link to dragon-city.org in their Dragon Booster section! :dance: Forgive me for raving, but a production company linking to a fan site is extraordinary rare (you'd never see Disney linking to a fan site), so I'm pretty happy about that. :) And not only did they link to my site, but they listed my site ahead of the official show site and Nerd Corps!

Also, while you're on their site, go to their Properties page and you can glimpse all the other show concepts they're working on. The feature film "D.A.R.C" looks kind of interesting. Quite a shift from DB, isn't it. :D

So I think I may be seeing some more traffic to my site now. :) If nothing else, getting a link from them will help improve my search engine ranking, which makes it easier for fans to find my site.

I imagine a lot of people are interested in a when a new version of dragonbooster.com might appear. I don't have any specific information about that, but I would imagine they'd launch it just before season 4 would start airing.

I think this is a sign. They are trying to raise awareness because mabye soon they will release season four.

Depends who you mean when you say "they". The Story Hat without a doubt wants to make more episodes. They even have a screenplay for a live action DB movie that would have CG dragons in it written and waiting in case a movie studio ever becomes interested (low probability, but not impossible). The trick is to get the networks interested in ordering more episodes. Once a network steps up to the plate with the money, the episodes will get made. That's why it's so important to write letters and make sure the networks know we want more.

Oh, they're definitely trying to raise awareness. They're basically using my site as a way to show potential networks and studios that they're able to generate a fan following with their properties. Dragon Booster is the first thing The Story Hat ever produced, so they naturally want to cast it in the best light possible so they can get more business. And I'm perfectly happy helping them do that if it convinces the networks to buy more episodes. If it all works, it's a win-win situation for everyone.

In any event, I'm obviously quite happy about the link. I was actually a bit nervous when I initially launched my site. When the producers of a show find a fan site, they'll do one of three things: they'll either like it, ignore it or call the lawyers. I'm very glad it turned out to the be first one. :D After all, you may remember that the producers of The Simpsons sent a nasty-gram to all the fan sites last year telling them to remove all the screen shots, sound bites and video clips or face court action. It is, of course, within their right to do so, but it's hardly being friendly towards the fan community. I'm quite pleased that The Story Hat is fan-friendly. :cookie:

Wow I just can't wait! Dragon Booster is like the best show I saw. I was randomly watching tv and that show poped on on Nov. 24, 2004 when it first came on. I would be devistated if the took it off. But oh well who would. :D

I want it to come on really badly. Here in Michigan I have to stay up until 2:00 because thats when it comes on. I liked 9:00 better.
