What are Tracking dragons exactly?
Are they dragonflies?

I'd describe them as small flying dragons, in other words, they're reptiles not insects. We don't know much at all about them, though I assume that since they're called dragons that they must have draconium bones and mag ability (but probably pretty weak compared to full sized dragons). They might be non-sentient animals, for example. About the only things I'm really sure of is that they're uber cute and I really want one for a pet. :D

Not quite sure but they are reptiles and definetly cocky little suckers with drac claws though.

Is it just the Army of the Dragon that have them, or do other crews have them?

I dont which eppisode but Ive seen Moordryd using one.

Tracking dragons are pretty amazing little things. They're reptiles, just smaller than any of the others we've seen, apart from newts.

But the wings! They're obviusly dragonfly wings, which would give these guys alot more manouvorability than say, crowdrags. With dragonfly wings they'ed be able to hover, fly upside down, sideways without turning, and just be plain faster than something with bird wings. If you've never seen a dragonfly fly, think about a helicoptor, exept about a thousand times more accurate.

Those wings point to the fact whatever they eat, it's flying. They might use their huge claws to grab things out of the air.

(And while I write this, I watch a dragonfly cating mozzies. Go you good thing!)

Hey I watched an eppisode recently and I noticed that their wings look like that they are gear! Watch at the base of the wings and it looks like a gear of some sort. Could somebody else check this out also and prove/disprove my idea? Thanks!!!

In this screen shot, it looks to me like the wings are coming out of the little fellow's shoulders, not the gear on its back:



Therefore, I'm going to say the wings are part of its body.

I think that gear you're seeing is not flying gear, but the tracking gear itself. That's probably what transmits the location and whatnot. If you look at the Furox's picture, it looks like there's an antenna on the top of that gear thingy.
