Title: Would It Be Possible...
Description: Put a slideshow up on here?
Dragon Fanatic - April 3, 2007 12:41 AM (GMT)
i will make this clear now. i love making slideshows! so, i was bored and made a slideshow for Moordryd. i've been wondering since I've made it, if I could possibly put it up on here  if it's even possible.
dolphinliss - April 3, 2007 12:43 AM (GMT)
you could post the individual picture of each slide on the forum i guess. i would like to see it. I have thought about doing a slide show too

yeah, but it really wouldn't work because I have a song to it and some of the pics meet the song, so yeah...if i could find some sort of link for it, it probably would work. oh well, i might not be able to post it :(
dolphinliss - April 3, 2007 02:26 AM (GMT)
wait, i know how. get a photobucket account if you don't already have one and mabye you can submit it as a video
Dragon Fanatic - April 3, 2007 02:42 AM (GMT)
yeah, i was only able to get either a photobucket account or a account for a fan forum and i picked the fan forum. my computer wouldn't allow anything else because of its super tight anti-virus program. <_<
dolphinliss - April 3, 2007 03:20 AM (GMT)
ok, well give it a try and let me know if you get it to work
The Furox - April 3, 2007 08:13 AM (GMT)
What file format is your slide show in? Flash? Windows Movie Maker?
Basically, your slide show needs to be in a commonly supported format and then has to be uploaded to a site that will host it for you. Then you can post a link to it here. Likely places to host it are either youtube.com or photobucket.com depending on what format you're using.

Sounds more like parental control software than anti-virus. There should no reason why you can't have both unless someone is restricting your access to the Internet.
Draconium - April 4, 2007 04:16 PM (GMT)
do you mean a slideshow in powerpoint or like a movie slide show?
Dragon Fanatic - April 4, 2007 09:26 PM (GMT)
sorry if it's bad to post two times in a row, but i just begged my parents to let me join. apparently, you were right Furox. They did put a restriction. I have a photobucket account. it won't let me upload the slideshow though. how can i fix this?
The Furox - April 5, 2007 08:12 AM (GMT)
One possibility is that you're using a file format that photobucket doesn't support. What file type is your slide show and what software did you use to create it? Also, how big is the file?
Dragon Fanatic - April 5, 2007 11:51 PM (GMT)
oh. it doesn't matter now. my parents want me to close my photobucket account cuz of something that happened to a friend from work's kid. they want me to close it immediately. how do I do this?
The Hydrag - April 6, 2007 05:15 AM (GMT)
You have my sympathy Dragon Fanatic cuz that really stinks. BTW what happend to that kid?

I'm going to guess something happened on photobucket's forum, but blaming photobucket for that doesn't really make sense. Photobucket is basically little more than free Internet storage space, and if you don't participate in the forum, then nothing "bad" can really happen. But it's almost impossible explaining things like that sometimes, so...
Log in to your account, click on "account options" in the upper right, then click "cancel account" at the bottom.

well, she had some pictures and some sort of hacker got through to them and got it to look at her profile. she was being stalked for a little bit and stalk, I mean stalk. he was taking pictures of her, going to places at the same time as her, going to her school, the whole deal. it was super scary just to listen to. :eep:
The Hydrag - April 6, 2007 08:39 PM (GMT)
Holy crap thats freaky!!! Now I understand where your parents are coming from though. If I had a kid and they were being stalked I would make sure that the stalker would never be heard of again .*serious/evil grin*
dolphinliss - April 7, 2007 03:50 AM (GMT)
that's scary. if ever met that stalking I would puck him/her in the face <_<

Profile? What profile?
There is no profile in a photobucket account. The only thing you need is an email address and you can use a free one from hotmail or yahoo. There's no way anyone could find you from your photobucket account unless you posted a picture of yourself holding a sign with your address on it. And even if you did, the photobucket user community is spread out across the globe, so the odds of stumbling across an account of someone who just happened to live nearby is more remote than being hit by lightning.
Unless someone can refer me to a newspaper article documenting these events, I'm going to assume this tale is either an urban legend or someone is seriously mistaken (confusing it with myspace or something).

oh. i double checked. it wasn't a photobucket. it was a myspace. still, my parents don't want me to open one. i doublechecked with them just a few minutes ago. but still, it's rather scary to have either one. like i said, my parents don't want me to have a myspace or photobucket account.
The Hydrag - April 20, 2007 01:48 AM (GMT)
I dont trust myspace at all because of people looking at me. Freaky!!! I dont see anything wrong with a photobucket account though.
The Furox - April 20, 2007 04:06 AM (GMT)
Right, there's nothing wrong or risky about a photobucket account. It's a completely different animal than myspace. Myspace has a risk factor because people can search for other people in their local area. With photobucket, there's no profile so there's no way to do that. People all over the world use photobucket, so you're about as anonymous as it gets. If you look at a random person's photobucket account, there's no way to tell where in the world they live nor their age range. Basically, if you're willing to have an account on this forum, then there's no logical reason not to have a photobucket account as well.
Dragon Fanatic - April 25, 2007 01:19 AM (GMT)
very true Furox. Still, my parents don't want me to have one either way. i said before as well. They let me join either a photobucket or forum account.
The Furox - April 25, 2007 05:35 AM (GMT)
I've had to deal with illogical parents myself back in the day, so I know what it's like. I like being in control of my own life much better. :)

Illogical parents are normal for me and my friends.
I could try to put the pics up with the words for each slide. Would that work and make sense?
The Furox - May 11, 2007 06:51 AM (GMT)
Well, it'd lose all the dynamics of sound going along with the changing visuals, but it's up to you if you want to give it a try.
Dragon Fanatic - May 22, 2007 11:42 PM (GMT)
well, even though I can't show it, I'll say what it's about. It's mainly about Moordryd becoming SB. Song is Somebody Help Me by Full Blown Rose. It has screenshots from Faster Than Fear, Paynn Rising, Return of Drakkus Part 2, Armeggaddonn as amulet, Wraith Booster, lots of random SB pics, and Eye of the Dragon.
I'm making some other ones for Kitt, MoordrydxKitt and maybe a KittxArtha.
