Jay Leno's hair is mostly gray except for one black spot in the front, so I guess it's not terribly uncommon for there to be a different pigment here and there.

He dyed it to hide the grey... ^_^

Some people naturally just have that. I know my english teacher's beard is black but his hair in just off-white at the moment.

Nah, Moordryd's got his hair. *cannot believe she's bothering to Seriously Discuss this* So either Daddy Paynn bleaches most of it to look like his son who got his hair from his mum's side, or it just happens he's got part black/part white like Artha's blue bits, and Moordryd only got the white.

Maybe he's just designed that way. *dodges the paper balls thrown at her for being sarcastic*

Seriously though, the different pigment comment makes the most sense to me.

After that I'd belive Word might've died his beard like that just to look fashionable. I mean, look at him. He's trying to look good. :P And he does. For someone his age anyway. ^_^
