Title: Where Is Kawake?

We only see kawake in one episode"Misjudged." He is a crew leader and we never see him at down city council meetings. Is it because he doesn't want anyone to know that he is paralyzed. Or does he attend the Academy like Chute and we never see him?
Any thoughts

I bet his spends his days in a rocking chair, knitting and watching Dragon Booster version of Jerry Springer show.
But he might be at the Academy, as he said he wants to teach. So my guess would be thet he is busy showing kids how to play dragball at the Academy or anywhere else. That or the rocking chair.

Just curious what happened to Kawake because he's paralysed after a big accident, but does anyone know what sort of accident he was involved in?

I don't know if it's said outright, but dragball is the most likely assumption.

They say that he retired after his accident, so that would explain why he dosn't go to a lot of the normal crew functions.

If dragball wasnt the cause then I bet it was some sort of race. You know having a huge earth class dragon falling on your back may have that effect.*Ouch*
