Title: Celebrate
Description: most members online ever

dolphinliss - February 20, 2007 03:27 AM (GMT)
Today, Febuary 19th at 6:41pm we had the most users online at the forum ever! :D

Congrads to us. I was fortunate enough to be one of those users online at that time!

Cain's cookies for everyone! :cookie:

koering - February 20, 2007 04:30 AM (GMT)
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!  yay for us :D

The Furox - February 20, 2007 04:34 AM (GMT)
That's pretty cool. I think the old record was 27. Did you happen to notice how many where listed as guests versus actual members?

I wonder what triggered the sudden burst of activity. Wish I was home so I could have joined the party. :)

Airshadow - February 20, 2007 05:33 AM (GMT)
I wish I could have been one of the online pp, but anyway THIS IS GREAT :D:d:d

Draconium - February 20, 2007 05:50 AM (GMT)

Burnout Beau - February 20, 2007 10:02 AM (GMT)

Coincidence? ;)

Sweet! I wish I could of been part of the party, but I don't think I was home or my dad/brother was on the computer playing "Vanguard".

black and gold dragon - June 12, 2007 07:42 PM (GMT)
i didnt even know about the forum then :( that is awsomely drac! i wonder why everyone decided then to come?

The Hydrag - June 26, 2007 12:19 AM (GMT)
Hey Check out the new record. 132? I think? Well its wayyyyyyyyyyy up there. I wonder why all those people showed up. Unfortunatly I wasnt on when that happend. I logged on 2 hours later and 67 people were on.
EDIT: Its actually 134 people!

Well, because it's my birthday of course. :D :P

Seriously though, I wonder what steered so much traffic to the forum today. Tomorrow I'll be able to see the traffic stats for dragon-city.org (it only updates once a day) and find out if my site had a similar spike in visitors.

There are quite a few guests online right now. A new link must have gone up somewhere and a bunch of people are checking it out.

You gotta admit, 134 users is pretty amazing. Let's hope it's a good omen of things to come.

shoot, i was playing my legos at that time *sits in corner and pouts*

still thats quite a bit

thinking back to a dream (i think it was nayade's) maybe her dream meant one day we'd have 4999 people on this forum

can't wait for the day that happens!

Me either!

I'm not sure if I was on that day or not. Hmm, maybe I'll be on the time when we beat the next record! That'd be drac!

Burnout Beau - June 26, 2007 04:48 AM (GMT)
134? Wow, that's amazing. :faint:

But is it 134 members or 134 members plus guests? But regardless, it's great to know that the show is still attracting lots of people despite having all 39 episodes finished airing. ;)

Liliwen - June 26, 2007 05:29 PM (GMT)
I haven't been on for either of the two records. This time I was busy making supper. *sigh* I hope I'm on for the next time.

Imagine if most were members and they decided to suddenly start posting. I'd never catch up with all the posts. :D

It measures "users" which is members + guests.

Well, the extra traffic we got yesterday seems to have quieted down as quickly as it appeared. Makes me think a link got posted somewhere by mistake and it's since been taken down. Dragon-city.org didn't get any extra traffic yesterday for what that's worth.

Looks like we had an unexplained blip. We'll probably never know why. Oh well, it looked cool anyway. :)

dolphinliss - June 27, 2007 02:36 AM (GMT)
we are just one away from 500 members!! :faint:

I can explain it, lol... That was when I did an art dump on Deviantart, I tend to get hundreds of viewers on each image, and each image linked here to show who the dragons belonged to ^^;; Sorry

The Furox - June 28, 2007 03:00 AM (GMT)
Ah, well that certainly explains it. :) I knew there had to be a new link going up somewhere to get all that extra traffic on the forum. Maybe we'll get a few new members as well.

LightningFlash - June 28, 2007 03:28 AM (GMT)
I.P. scramblers can contribute, as well. Last night for instance, we had 34 'guests', but it was actually one person with a constantly changing I.P. address. :)

I didn't even know that some computers did that. Does it ever mess up the system? And this may be off topic, but how would you know if your computer did that? (the constantly rotating IP thing).

The Furox - June 30, 2007 06:00 AM (GMT)
You have to set it up deliberately. It's usually a piece of shareware you buy and install on your system, but you might be able to find some freeware versions around. You can also subscribe to a proxy service that does IP hiding for you.
