Title: What's Next For Propheci?
Description: Our Favorite Orange Dragon Must Return!
The Furox - January 31, 2007 04:11 AM (GMT)
It can't be over for Propheci. :)
Even though our favorite orange dragon was captured and locked in a jail cell at the end of "When Opposites Attract", it seems to be a safe bet that we haven't seen the last of Propheci. So what do you think is the most likely scenario we might see in the show?
To be clear, you're voting on what you think the writers will do, not what you'd like to see happen yourself. Feel free to post and talk about what you'd like to see happen.
I think most of the choices are pretty self explanatory, but I'll expand on a couple of them here:
For #2, I'm thinking that there may be secret passages in the Prophet temple that only Propheci knows about. One of them might allow him to escape his cell when no one's looking. Or maybe he could fake an illness and then escape when they open the gate to try and care for him.
#6 could be interesting if Word found out about Propheci and wanted to use him. They do have a couple of things in common: both hate the Dragon Booster and both want a dragon-human war. Plus Propheci knows Artha's secret identity which Word would really like to have. Maybe there's enough there for them to work a deal. Of course, both of them want to rule in the end, so each would no doubt be planning to double-cross the other at some point.
And of course for #7, Armeggaddon might find Propheci to be a useful ally as well. Armeggaddon wants a dragon-human as well and maybe he could use Propheci with his League of Eight.
The scenario for #8 might be that Word is trying to recover some powerful artifact from an ancient citadel and Artha needs to find it and get there first. Propheci might know where it's hidden and agrees to help in exchange for his freedom.
And #9 and #10 are sort of the wild card scenarios when an unexpected dragon or human steps in to form an alliance with Propheci, setting him free in the process.
So which do you think is the most likely scenario when we see Propheci again?
Can you think of another scenario? Post it!

Frankly, I hope he stays there for once. But there is probably some orange dragon or another who will set him free. Stupid orange dragons. Obsessed with causing chaos. >_>

Oh, but that's no fun. :) The show will get so much more interesting if he gets free and starts up his plans again, or even better, forms an alliance with another villain.

Everyone wants to rule the world, don't they. :)
Shiroi_Neko - January 31, 2007 01:26 PM (GMT)
We all know Propheci. He'll probably escape and tries to hatch a plan for a dragon human war again.
I don't mind having him around again. As long as Reepyr is in, LOL.
BlueBooster - January 31, 2007 01:26 PM (GMT)
I had a little rp with Shearkin a few mounths ago and I think this is probable,
Propheci ecapes with the help of a orange dragon then Artha comes to stop him then Propheci finds the blue bonemark and uses it on beau and Artha and Kitt,Lance and Parmon have to save him.
Salazaar - January 31, 2007 01:41 PM (GMT)
I think Prooheci's smart and he's gonna find a way out, but the "Propheci has info that Artha trades his freedom to get" makes sense, cuz Prooheci's ancient and, although insane, wise. I deffinetly don't think that's the last we'll see of Propheci and hs army.
Mwah ha ha!!

plus Propheci knows Artha's secret identity and could threaten to reveal it if Artha/Dragon Booster didn't cooperate

Ah, the return of the Samurox! It was interesting that the bonemark didn't get destroyed or absorbed that time, which certainly leaves the door open for it to make a come back.
How about this: instead of the Samurox, maybe Propheci has an orange bonemark from an equally intense ancient orange dragon and perhaps he's been saving it for just such an occasion. :) Seeing Beau be mutated to have orange dragon markings would be pretty funky looking, too. :D Having Propheci gain Beau as an ally via a bonemark would make him pretty strong indeed.
Gee, I noticed that no one has chosen the options where Propheci either does nothing or honestly becomes a good guy. I wonder why that is... ;)

Oooh, orange bonemark. For certain it will be in the shape of the Prophets' emblem.

Coz everytime he tries/want/act to be good, he always end up being bad in the end.

Propheci may not be able to speak the human language himself, but he can still point. :D If he got out, maybe he could make himself understood just by pointing at Artha and a picture of DB.
He's not a dumb dragon either. We've seen that he can read thoughts from his riders through the control gear. If he can do that, he could probably also pull the knowledge of how to read and write from their minds as well. It's a bit hard to hold a pen without a thumb, but I think he could manage if he was determined enough (and if any dragon is determined, it's Propheci). So he could theoretically write a letter to Word or whoever telling him who DB was.
Another fun scenario for the return of Propheci occurred to me recently. Does everyone know about the
mirror universe from the Star Trek series? The original series introduced this with the episode "Mirror, Mirror" and it was also used during Deep Space Nine and Star Trek Enterprise. Basically, just about everyone in our universe has a counterpart in the Mirror universe, except that good and evil is generally flipped (but not always). The original episode was the one where the Mirror universe Spock has a beard, the style of which was copied by many shows to signify the evil twin character.
So why not have a mirror universe for the DB world. In Star Trek, a transporter fluke allowed people to cross over between universes. In DB, a powerful ancient artifact used in conjunction with some piece of gear could do the trick. In the mirror universe, Artha and Beau could be evil characters trying to impose tyranny on the world, while Propheci could be a good character like a freedom fighter. You could have the good Propheci cross over to the standard universe and start fighting Artha not realizing Artha was good in this universe. He could then eventually meet his evil self. Or maybe the evil Propheci could find out about the mirror the universe and try to bring the evil Artha and Beau over as his allies here.
I think that could be fun. Two Prophecis are always better than one. :)

I think Propheci would rather use an orange bonemark than an unreliable "ally" in the form of a blue bonemark, like what the Furox mentioned.

Samurox returning is a possibility, but I don't think Propheci would plan to use it for his benefit. ;)
Yeah! It would be cool if Beau got mutated by some orange bonemark but I don't think that's gonna happen again, considering what has happened previously with the Furox bonemark and the black draconium influence to him. My guess is that other dragons might be the one mutating instead, like Wyldfyr perhaps. :plot:
Hey! How about Propheci putting the orange bonemark on himself? That would be one awesome-(and crazy, and maniacal, and *insert own thoughts* :D )looking dragon! Now Propheci can go on a rampage without any help from the Prophets.
Think about it: "Mad orange dragon go on rampage in city. Huge showdown with Dragon Booster expected.".
Arthapenn - September 28, 2008 02:49 AM (GMT)
An orange dragon who's secretly still loyal to Propheci sets him free. They then resume Propheci's plans.
This received the most votes. In my story, Delilah is secretly still loyal to Propheci. I liked this vote. ;)
Cain - September 28, 2008 04:47 AM (GMT)
Armeggaddon finds out about Propheci from Moordryd. Armeggaddon frees Propheci and gets him to join his League of Eight and/or start the dragon-human war.
They may pull it off together.
drake - September 28, 2008 09:46 PM (GMT)
i think that propheci will realise that he was wrong and that in order for dragons to survive and prosper they need humans, just like humans need dragons. that and i think that he will learn that "control turns to lose of control" that the dragon priests preach, so he will agree to work together as one with his rider ( who ever it is he decides to control at that time lol just kidding) and help artha stop the war
Skulderian - September 28, 2008 10:15 PM (GMT)
you know, with his track record of mastering other colors of draconium, Beau should probably search out and absorb one of every kind of colored bonemark there is and become a 'prismatic dragon' or something. :D
drake - September 28, 2008 10:34 PM (GMT)
maybe like brutarus did in the chromatic dragon that would be drac

Well, he basically is already. It's been mentioned in the dialog that gold is essentially all the colors in one. They also talk about it in terms of gold being a balance of all the other colors. If you ever play the trading card game, Beau is the only dragon who's stats are all equal. Kind of drives home the balance theme. :)

I like the idea of Propheci turning good, too. Once he makes up his mind to do something, he's really focused and committed to it. That would make him a really good ally, if he would ever really make that commitment. The last we saw of him though, it didn't really look like he would change his mind anytime soon. :)
Skylii - October 1, 2008 05:18 AM (GMT)
Here's what I think will happen: Propheci will suddenly be greeted by the strange site of a blue telephone booth crashing into his cell, followed by some strange man stepping out and inviting Propheci to come along with him on his journey across time and dimension since he's some kind of Doctor or something. Propheci will tag along, only to later knock out the strange man and pilot the booth to try and find some of his orange dragon supporters, only to crash into Word's citadel. There, he will then challenge Word to a great duel of Slapjack and get a perfect victory because even Word wouldn't dare challenge a dragon at Slapjack.
Using this opportunity of a free area of terror and reign, Propheci will then create a Dragon-Human Karaoke Bar, in which Word is forced to dress in a pink, froofy dress and sing Celine Dion songs, and Moordryd is the bartender. This prompts a contest of Propheci's called Dragon City's Got Talent. With this scheme, he will recruit the dragons with some of the most outstanding voices and ball-balancing tricks for his mixed supreme dragon army while being free to criticize and flame every single human. It all fits in his plan to show dragons that humans just can't do things as awesome as dragons can, and that will be their motive to join his army. As an added bonus, his orange dragons would find him because DCGT is a secret message for Dirty Claws Get Tidy, because Propheci is a germaphobe and only the orange dragons would truly know this.
When the orange dragons all arrive, they are about to seize every human that can't sing well and show the dragons that dragons are just better, but at that moment, the Dragon Booster and Beau will come along, then proceed to sing a duet of "I Will Always Love You" in perfect pitch, power, falsetto and bass. Every dragon, human, Doctor, and the yellow-bellied newt in the peanut bowl will be so touched that they will weep in raw emotion, except for Propheci who will be conflicted with torment of how good the Dragon Booster and Beau can sing, and Word who is clearly jealous of the Dragon Booster's lung capacity. He will finally join the good side and support humans too, though, after realizing how absolutely fantastic Moordryd's Harvey Wallbangers are.
...
Nah, I think Propheci tricking Artha that he's good, Propheci getting freed by one of his loyal orange dragons, or Propheci having some information Artha could need would be pretty plausible and interesting to see. :D

Well, both times he's been under the influence of other forms of draconium he's managed to turn them into reserve power sources. Seems to me that he'd be much more effective if he had all the other 12 colors to fall back on if his gold energies get depleted.
drake - October 2, 2008 11:41 PM (GMT)
are there other bone marks out there of the secondary draconium colors?? i thought that it was only the primary colors that had bone marks
Liliwen - October 2, 2008 11:54 PM (GMT)
Since the bonemarks were made because they fell off of the dragons as they were turned back into gold, I don't see why the main colours would have the spirits of the dragons in them and not the other colours. I guess the only reason we haven't seen them yet is because different coloured bonemarks weren't needed in the episodes. So far, anyway. ;)
Dragon Fanatic - October 3, 2008 02:56 AM (GMT)
Okay, so here's how it's gonna go.
SO, we got Propheci locked up and the world is safe and happy and unicorns ride on silver moon beams. Then (dramatic music) Propheci convinces a wee drag slug to steal the keys to open the cage and get him out. Then, he scoops up Reepyr and throws him in there and the drag slug as well (backstabbing! YAY!) Then, he goes to Artha and is like 'oh-I-seen-the-errors-in-my-ways-it's-all-because-I-didn't-get-enough-hugs-when-I-was-a-hatchling' speech and Artha (being the brainless and naive idiot he is) agrees and Propheci is all salesmen with 'oh, you'll never look back on this' and is really creepy like 'lets be bestest friends forever, and ever, and ever!' creepy. When suddenly (dramatic music) Propheci kicks Artha out of the picture (holds Artha and drops kick him out of the picture) And Kitt, being a heroine now, decides to get Moordryd to help her while Propheci mind controlls Lance and uses him to create chaos and destruction with the puppy eyes. Then, the two think of a highly complex and difficult plan and send Propheci out of the picture (holds Propheci and drop kicks him out of the picture) Unfortunately, they left Lance on so he's out of the picture too. Then, Kitt finds out Moordryd took Word out of the picture (holds Word and drop kicks him out of the picture) And then, is threatening to rule the world with Kitt. (Which is very tempting and all you know, cuz she'd be queen of the world) Kitt, deciding that being single and ruling the world by yourself than with someone else kicks Moordryd's @$$ and rules the world herself.

Option 5 is interesting in my eyes. I put my oc dragon as the loyal one. She is Demona, and I mated her with Propheci. ;)
Cain - November 11, 2008 01:59 PM (GMT)
Option 7 is not too bad, and was used for The Lost Friendship. Armeggaddon is very evil, and will stop at nothing to start a war.
The Furox - November 11, 2008 06:43 PM (GMT)
Funny how no one has voted for option 1 yet. :) I wonder why that is... :D
I working on and off on a new fan fiction where Propheci has a little cameo in it. I think you'll find his actions somewhat unexpected. ;)
Artha_penn1995 - November 11, 2008 11:34 PM (GMT)
I would find it much more interesting if it would be revealed that Vysox has her own plans... :plot:
She might want to team up with Propheci or something... it will be much plot thickening xD
Shining-Dragon - November 11, 2008 11:37 PM (GMT)
option 7 does sound likely, but Armeggedon would proberly get double crossed by Propheci...
Cain - November 29, 2008 04:57 AM (GMT)
I had not though of it. That is something.
