Dragon-city.org crossed something of a milestone this past weekend: Fracshun's Fan Art gallery now hosts just over 2000 individual pieces of fan art! Yes, 2000! That's an incredible volume of fan art and I never, ever thought it would get anywhere near that big. And according to the web server statistics, the fan art section is the most popular portion of the web site and it's where visitors spend the most time, which is not surprising considering how vast it is.

So congratulations to all our artists here for being so dedicated, and not to mention so productive! :D

But don't stop now! Let's go for 3000! :D :dance:

One question regarding said area of said site. There is a link to a tutorial for making new dragons from parts of templates, but despite following the directions exactly it doesn't work. Would that just be my computer or something? (the part that isn't working is in step 2)

2000 is definitely a lot of fan art. Off hand, I don't know of any other fan sites dedicated to a single show that host that much artwork. Let's keep going! I've got lots of disk space left on the server, so let's fill it! :D :dance:

I don't think it's your computer. I think Neemers glossed over a few details here and there that may have made it a little confusing. You may have to play around a bit to get the exact procedure. If you can come up with any corrections or clarifications to the tutorial, let me know and I'll add them.

In any event, let's see how quickly we can get to 3000 pieces of fan art! :cookie:

I'll contrubute! I've only got a few right now, but now that I figured out that I actually didn't need to do that step, the template dragons are on the way! (the part I couldn't do was just to make things a little easier to keep track of, but it isn't necissary(sp?))

Incidentally, whose section gets the most hits? *evil grin*

It varies, of course. Since I include a "last update" column, it primarily depends on who's producing the most artwork in a given month since the galleries with the most recent updates tend to get clicked on the most. At the moment, BlueBooster, Allye and Salazaar are getting a lot of hits.

Looking over the stats from the long term, DargonXKS emerges as the overall favorite. Her gallery seems to remain in the top 5 or so no matter what. Skye and Nayade's galleries are of course quite popular as well. Many others have gotten lots of hits too at various points in time.

Let's keep growing the gallery! As of this moment, there are 2049 pieces of fan art on the site. I've got lots of disk space left on the server, so let's fill it up! :dance:

Despite the fact i'm kinda outta the DB loop, I kinda miss doing Dragon Booster artwork, whenever I do more i'll be sure to send em' over to ya Furox!

I have a bit of a backlog of art to post (I was busy trying to complete Parmon's Workshop), and it's enough that I think we'll break 2100 pretty soon already. If this rate continues, we'll be breaking 3000 in no time! :dance:

I have only 4 arts on internet now, but I`m still working. I`ll help to get this 3000 (where without deviantart I can save them? :unsure: )

I just uploaded a bunch more fan art to the server. The total now stands at 2224 pieces of fan art. That's over 200 more pieces of art in just a couple of weeks. Let's keep it going! :D

photobucket.com is a good place. That's what I use for images posted here to this forum.
