Description: any info?

in the faster than fear episode paynn mentioned his wife, he said she was the last to escape the shadow track, what happened to her then.

I bet most people around here would give anything to know what happened to Zulay. Me included.
And teh sad thing is... nobody knows. Word's wife is just a one big enigma since she was mentioned only once, in the "Faster that Fear" episode. All we know is that she was fearless and is now gone. Also Moordryd's and his father's reaction suggest that she really is missed.
Some people assumed that the academy scout Sentrus is Zulay because of her looks (white hair and very pale skin) and strict personality.
I hope we will learn more about Zylay in the next season, if it'll ever be aired.

I think there is another episode where Word mentions about Zulay.

I'm quite sure that he doesn't. Through episodes 1-32 she was mentioned only in "Fastest then Fear". I can't tell about the episodes 33-39 because I haven't seen them yet <insetrt pain & sorrow> but I'm sure that if thre was something more about Zulay people would point it out. Though I heard something about a "woman screaming" in Word's vision (episode 33 "The Defiant") but I've never got a clear answer about that one so it could be just someone's imagination.

I'm pretty sure that was meant to be a flashback to Word's vision in Return of Drakkus, when it was him screaming. Though I haven't seen the ep in question.

Wel' I wouldn't take my word for it.

HEY!!!!
I found the post!!!!!!
It's here:
Battle for the Agesand said:
Word watches and he is not happy, he wants his son to win. He sends out two wraiths, but they are drained and frozen by.....dum dum....Armeggaddon! Connor has a vision, while he screams in pain It ends with Armeggaddon's eyes. He runs off to help Artha. Word is stunned about Wraiths being frozen, he suddenly has the same vision as Connor, it has women screaming in it (I'm not sure if it is same vision as in "The Defiant" cause I missed it, but maybe). He says: "Again!" He says that this time they won't meet again.

The scream isn't supposed to be anyone in particular, and it actually sounds like a crowd screaming to me. It's just part of the audio mix to trigger a feeling of foreboding and fear in the viewer's mind. Remember the movie "Twister"? They mixed animal growls and roars and other sounds together to make the sound of the F5 tornado at the end, but it's not supposed to literally mean the tornado was a living animal. It's just using sound to trigger feelings in the viewer. Same thing here. There's no way that scream is supposed to be Zulay. Fans are just reacting the way people do to ink blot tests.

Zulay is certainly 1 of the great misteries of Dragon Booster. We dont even know anything about Artha's and Lance's mother. Nothing was even mentioned of her. Let alone Parm and Kitt's parents. I mean, we know that Parm's mom teaches about the ancient Dragon City at the Tech Academy. But, thats about it. The only thing I know about the Penn's is...Connor raised both Lance and Artha by himself....Maybe they were test tube babies.

Believe it or not, we've already speculated things like whether Artha might be adopted on another thread. :)
But yeah, the mothers definitely aren't the focus of the story. To tell you truth, I'm somewhat surprised the writers even mentioned Moordryd's mother at all. One thing's for certain in my mind though, Zulay doesn't have any significant role to play. If she did, there would have been more than one tiny fleeting reference to her in 39 episodes. If she's supposed to have anything more to do with the story at all, then my guess is that Moordryd will discover a message or artifact she left behind for him to come upon at some critical juncture. I don't think it's in the cards for her to ever make a personal appearance. But that's just my opinion.

I'm starting to believe that they mentioned her to drive us crazy and to inspire fan fics. Like what happened to her? Is she fighting for her life? Maybe she's under control of a bonemark and will one day venture into the city? Maybe they'll center a few episodes around what happened to her. Like "The Woman that Loved Sesshomaru" episodes in Inuyasha. :eye:

Maybe it was just to show that Moordryd and Word could actually experience sorrow and make them just a little more sympathetic for the story farther down the line.
