I think, based off of what I've seen, they're still racing for it. In The Defiant when Sentrus was threatening to cancel the season, Artha said there were still a lot of races left for the Academy spot, so I don't think we've seen the end of it.
But that's jut my two cents.

Yea I mean we've still seen them racing for it up until the last episode so far seen which is Cain's Mutiny. So far it was last said Moordryd is ahead, but that hasn't been fully confirmed for the past few episodes, so it might have changed.
Kit definately can't join, that we know cause she is out.
Otherwise we know the rest are still fight for the one and only spot and two highest ranks are probably between Moordryd and Artha.

Gwad, that would be just horrible! The annoying hero-gets-everything-his-way-and-always-beats-the-badguy thing. For me it's the worst case scenario. Whitout Artha/Moordryd rivality half of the show would be like dead. The excitment that comes with watching those two finghting, learning to respect eachother and then again fighting is just too precius to drop it like that. And making one go to the academy whilie the other doesn't would just do the trick.
So my guess is that some kind of miracle takes place and BOTH of them make it into the Racing Academy. Perhaps on the final cliff-hangerish race they'll tie, or show everybody such a kickass battle that amazed Sentrus will let them both join. Or perhaps Moordryd will just birbe her.

That's been my prediction for some time now as well. I think it will go even further and Kitt and Parmon will be accepted as well. In "Return of Drakkus, part 2" Connor said they all need to go to the Academy, so I think that will come true. Not sure what will happen with Lance, though. I'm still not sure if he'll be the blue booster or not since he's rather young. Maybe it will be revealed that the Academy has a junior program of some kind that he gets into.
In any event, I can't see Sentrus taking a bribe. :unsure: So I think the four teenagers (and maybe Lance as well) will probably end up working together to solve some city-wide crisis, with Moordryd doing so only reluctantly when his own self-interest is threatened. The teamwork demonstrated will cause the Academy to make an exception and admit them all.

Well in Cain's Mutiny Moordryd says he would be allowed to take some of the crew to academy with him if he wins.
Thats probably what will happen if Artha wins, he will be allowed to bring Kitt, Parm and Lance since they part of his crew.

Oh, I see. Racers admitted to the Academy are allowed to bring their crew along. OK, so that's how they'll all end up there. So now the only thing that has to happen is something that causes the Academy to accept both Artha and Moordryd and then all the other characters go along with them. That would explain how Lance will be able to go along despite his age and racing inexperience. We'll have to see if it plays out this way.

Since they're allowed to take some of their crew with them, how many can they actually take? Can the academy really waste space on untalented racers that only got in because of their friends? If Parm got in cause of Artha, would he actually race? We know he's scared of going too fast.

Perhaps they have different classes for the crews of the people who are accepted, that teach them how to assist the main racer instead of race themselves...

I guess you haven't read the lastest summary. Read the summary of episode 39:
Damaged Goods. If you don't like spoilers, look away! It mentions who gets into the academy.

in Damaged goods they both got in i read the summary although i haven't watched the episode yet, i know that artha and moodryd fought sor some reason and artha got badly hurt and wasn't in shape for the final academy race, it was dragball and artha was in no shape to play but still did and the game was neck and neck, and artha was to make a final shot but was to hurt and was daging him self but he still managed to make the shot, and the score was tied and word called sentrus and the dragon city master to show artha was hurt to continue and was to be disqualified, but sentrus decide to let both of them enter the academy due to amazing skills shown at the dragball competition.

Ok. Just so you know Moordyd and Artha both made it. I forgot what episode it was in, but Sentres and the Acdemy Master let them both in.

Yeah, that episode is "Damaged Goods". It was pretty clear that some sort of exception would be made that would let both Artha and Moordryd into the Academy. Though I must admit I was expecting the plot to include something that would have allowed Kitt and Parm to be accepted as well. It looks they will go along anyway since Artha apparently gets to bring a crew with him, though I think I would have preferred it if they were actually accepted themselves.

I'm guessing the writers chose Drag-Ball because it's much easier to have a Drag-Ball game end in a tie as the clock runs out than it is to have a tie dragon race. Let's face it, Beau has a distinct advantage in a dragon race because his chin crosses the finish line long before the rest of him. :D It would be hard to beat Beau in a tie race since it's so easy for him to "win by a chin" during a photo finish.
