When the site will be updated?

I'm dying to know that new things will be there :D

You mean my fan site? I had to put it on hold while I'm getting the caption contest together. I have to work for a living :), which means my free time is limited and I couldn't do both at the same time. Once the caption contest is up and running, I'll be able to devote more time to the web site.

I'm glad to hear there's interest in site!

It's OK. I didn't take anything you said in a negative way. I'm just glad to know that someone is interested in seeing the site grow.

Make me #2. I heard that you were planning on working on Parmon's Workshop. How's that coming along?

I didn't put a visible counter on the pages themselves, however the web server tracks all sorts of statistics for me. For example, in August there were an estimated 212 unique visitors to the site. The countries/areas they were from (in order from most visitors to least) are United States, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Malaysia, Singapore, Great Britain, European Union, New Zealand, Japan, Switzerland, China, and France. The most frequent visitor was someone living in the Chicago area. The next most frequent visitor is someone in the Topeka, Kansas area. And the last time google visited the site to suck up the pages for indexing was on August 29th. The average person spends about six minutes on the site during a visit. One person spent over an hour looking around (though I imagine they were probably doing something else at the same time and not really reading the whole time). 90% of the visitors are running Windows, about 10% Mac OS, and a couple of people are running Linux. But before anyone worries, the server can't track any personally identifiable information and the site doesn't use any tracking cookies. I just get aggregated data by region.

Double WOW

Good news! I was Googling up Dragon Booster again and found that Furox's Dragon Booster fan site finally crawled into the earlier pages. :D

The Furox - September 11, 2005 03:40 AM (GMT)
Cool! Out of curiosity, do you remember what search terms were you using?

Alright, first, I was Googling up "Moordryd" (yes, stop staring at me already :P) and found the results on the 8th page out of 11. Then, I Googled up "Dragon Booster Khatah" and found the Fan Site on the 1st page (though it's not very surprising). Then I tried some other things with the word "Dragon Booster" in it and found Dragon-city.org mentioned somewhere in all of the results. Coolness. Maybe it the website is worked on a bit more, it'll get good results. Speaking of which, how's Parmon's Workshop coming along?

The Furox - September 11, 2005 07:15 AM (GMT)
Thanks for the info, Skylii. I think the google ranking for my web site will improve as more content gets added. I should also create some internal links between the pages which is said to help as well.

I'm still working on the Parmon's Workshop piece. I've gotten a bit side tracked again by something else: I'm attempting to write a DB fan fiction. Assuming I'm able to complete it, it will be the longest piece of fiction I've ever written. If nothing else, I'm having fun writing it. I'm getting close to having the first couple of chapters in good enough shape to post and see what others think. In any event, I'm trying to divide my spare time between this and the web site.

Take it easy and don't try to do big updates every month. Belive me it's better to add few things regularly and be calmed. If you try to do alot in few time you may feel a lot estressed

I'M wondering when they'll updat the official site for dragon Booster. We've gotten tons of new characters since they last updated, and I'd like to see their pictures on the Dragon Booster home page.

Same here. From what I see, I'm squinting, but the relationship between the central website and the TV show itself is hard to define. For one, there seems to be a lot of inconsistancy errors (*cough cough*height, dudes, the height!*cough cough*), and hardly any updates, which worries me. I wanna see Kawake on the profiles page, not just the racing game, as well as Vociferous, Marianis, and even Rivitt. I basically wanna see updates. (I also wanna take more sneak peeks at those demo chapters of the books! :P)

Seems like Dragon City may be crawling into some early pages before 5, though you have to be extremely specific in Google searching. The Wikipedia article (which now looks prettier :)) has crawled in the Top Five when searching up anything with the key words "Dragon Booster". (Though not the title itself; you also have to be slightly specific to get the Wikipedia Top 5/10 result. Searching up "Dragon Booster" as itself will just get you information on mainly the game. <_< Not that this is a really bad thing, but I wanna see more show-related searches.)

Mari - November 11, 2005 11:24 AM (GMT)
Don't you just hate it when you're searching for 'Dragon Booster Screenshots' and all that you get is a bunch of video game shots? I've refined and refined my search, and I STILL only get vdeo game shots! <_<
