Title: Dragon Booster Toys - Thank You From Jakks
Description: Thank you to all the Dragon Booster fans
JeremyPadawer - October 3, 2006 05:04 PM (GMT)
Hi!
Today I was proud to receive in the mail a signature petition of over 1,700 Dragon Booster fans.
It has been a thrill to work on the Dragon Booster line since arriving at Jakks Pacific in 2003. The creators of the show are brilliant and the Dragon Booster animation stands out as excellent.
The toys that we created are also very cool. I wish that we could directly send these toys to each and every one of you!
Thank you for the petition and the interest in Dragon Booster toys.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Padawer
VP Marketing
Jakks Pacific

I'd say it means they got the copy of the petition that I mailed into them and Jeremy came and checked out the forum here as well. At the time I printed it, the petition was 70 pages long, so it's quite a hefty hunk of paper. And it's only grown since I printed it. The petition is up to 1847 signatures right now, and will no doubt hit 2000 fairly soon.
And it was nice of you to take the time to respond to us here, Jeremy. As I said in my letter, I hope you'll be able to use the petition to help convince your distributors and retailers to begin carrying the toys again. There are fans here waiting to buy them. :)
Thanks, Jeremy!

Just a question, dear sir-can you tell us if the action figures will be released in Australia?
It's good to know that our efforts aren't in vain. Thanks!

While I don't really want to answer for Jermey, I have a feeling he probably won't have the time to be checking back here often. It was most definitely nice of him to take the time to register and post here, which I never expected, so I for one don't expect any more of his time. I appreciate the fact that he read my letter and came over here to let us know.
As for availability of the toys in Australia or Mexico (or anywhere else), it's basically not up to anyone at Jakks. Jakks is the manufacturer, so they can make the toys but they don't do retail sales. They can make toys and offer them to stores, but it's up to the stores to decide to carry them.
So the best thing to do is to convince the stores to carry them. So if you haven't already done so, please visit the
Toy Campaign Page and let these retailers know. Regardless of where you live in the world, the two most important ones are amazon.com and Toys R Us. Amazon.com ships most of their products worldwide, so if they start carrying the toys, then just about anyone can get them. And of course, Toys R Us operates retail stores around the world. For Toys R Us, I would definitely use the link to let the US corporate office know there's demand for the toys. You can then go a step further by letting them know in your own country as well. For example, here's the address to write to for Australia:
Toys R Us
Block G, Commercial Drive
Regents Park Estate
391 Park Road
Regents Park NSW 2143
It really is worth the time to send in a letter on paper even though that seems pretty old fashion to most of us here. By mailing a letter, I was able to get the attention of a corporate VP and let him know that we're here. So letters really do get noticed.
And if enough of us write in and let the biggest retailers know we want the toys, then I'm sure Jakks will be happy to manufacture all they want. So it really is important to write the retailers. I wrote in to Jakks and sent them a copy of the petition to let them we're here as well and to sort of prime the pump. I wanted them to know that the fans are here and if they start getting enquiries from retailers, then they'll know where the demand is coming from and will hopefully respond to it.
And of course, it's really,
really important to write in to all networks that air the show to tell them we want more episodes. We now have proof positive that mailing a paper letter does get noticed by a corporation, and is even recognized at a high level in the chain. So please visit the
Letter Writing Campaign Page and send in letters to all six networks listed.
I've printed out the petition and sent it in to all six plus a copy to Jakks, The Story Hat and Alliance Atlantis. Plus I plan to send it again when the petition crosses 2000 signatures. But 100 letters showing up from fans around the world will mean more than one letter from me, so please write it. Letters do get noticed. :)

Another thing to do is to tell Wal-Mart you want them. I have worked for Wal-Mart for about 3 years (I was recently fired) but, duing that whole time I worked there. they are complete suckers for customers. Go into a Wal-Mart and, if they dont have any Dragon Booster toys. Make a complaint to the store manager. They will most likely listen. Or e-mail their coorprate headquarters.

The Furox - October 28, 2006 07:10 PM (GMT)
Those are in fact being sold by our own member IbanezJFS here on the forum. I believe those are the last ones he's got. He's the only person that has ever sold the toys on ebay.
I'm still missing the three action figures that were never sold in the US: Wyldfyr, Cyrano, and Wraith Beau. I could never find an online retailer in another country that carried them either. Should anyone know of a reliable source for those, please let me know.
IbanezJFS - October 28, 2006 07:22 PM (GMT)
Right now Furox and I are trying to make a deal with Jakks Pacific to let us sell the toys over Furox's website. But, this Jeremy guy who is in charge of Jakks Pacific is a little hard to get a hold of.

Furox and, I ARE working on Something. We just have to get in touch with Jeremy who works at Jakks Pacific. But, in the meantime. While Furox and, I are working on this. We need all of you guys to help out. In case some of you DONT know. I held an Auction where I sold 3 Dragon Booster toys. And, I made...$76.00 See for yourself
http://cgi.ebay.com/Dragon-Booster-Action-...1QQcmdZViewItem Now thats your proof that there is a high deman for these toys. Start e-mail any major toy retailer the link to my auction and, hopefully we will get them back on store shelfs.
DragonboosterGirl - December 15, 2006 12:47 AM (GMT)
today I almost got a set of day racer beau, B&G beau, desepshun, and wyldfyr speedy racing dragons (or whatever you call them) but someone outbid me at the last second. I cried for like an hour. I had the bid up to 75 dollars.
DragonboosterGirl - December 15, 2006 12:49 AM (GMT)
-curse you frenchfrylover!!!!! <_<
IbanezJFS - December 15, 2006 12:16 PM (GMT)
Sorry you didnt win my auction. But, if you want to get the toys back on store shelfs. Print out the auction and mail it to any toy store along with a letter asking them to carry the whole line of action figures.
Lazeros - February 22, 2007 09:56 PM (GMT)
Any news on getting the toys? I love the show so much, and have already signed the petitions for the show and toys, not to mention tried to get stores to carry them ><;;
But...
I might be auctioning some of the dragon booster figures I have. I have like 6 black and gold beau's. Two dragon and rider and 4 rip cord types. I was just wondering if there would be interest if I took the time to post them up on ebay. But if anyone finds the others, like wyldfyre cyrano and wraith beau, please let me know!!! I'm willing to pay a lot for them, haha.
ways to contact me:
admin@lazeros.com or
www.lazeros.deviantart.com - just note me or post on my front page.
The Furox - February 23, 2007 05:01 AM (GMT)
I'm afraid there's been no news on the toy front. The only positive thing that has happened is the DB Happy Meal promotion that just started in the UK. At least that tells us that it's not over yet.
I think our main chance for getting the toys back in stores will be if the show gets renewed for seasons 4 & 5. Having new episodes airing will increase the likelihood of a toy tie-in.
And yes, I would dearly love to add Wyldfyr, Cyrano and Wraith Beau to my collection but those toys were never sold in North America. A major bummer.
Lazeros - February 23, 2007 02:43 PM (GMT)
awww man... That is a bummer, lol... I have been trying to get the UK toys too, haha. I'm waiting for them to be on ebay. I really want abandon. As for getting the toys back in stores, do you know if jakks pacific has applied to walmart? When I talked to merchandising they said that we could send the toy petition and maybe some screen caps of the ebay sales in order to entice them. But they also said that they would like to see Jakks fill out a vender's form and submit it. But if everyone tries calling 1-800-walmart, they document each call and location, then send it to merchandising. The more people who call, the better our chances ^.-.^
Ohh, and someone emailed me about pics of the dragon booster toys. I took pics, just have to upload them later.
The Furox - February 23, 2007 05:13 PM (GMT)
I've got pictures of all the toys and promotional items I could find on dragon-city.org in
Lance's Room. If you have pictures of anything I don't, I'd appreciate it if you could send me photos that I could use on the site.
I don't know what stores Jakks tried to make deals with, but one would imagine they would have tried Walmart given that they're one of the largest retailers. We'll just have to keep hoping.
Lazeros - February 23, 2007 10:13 PM (GMT)
naa, I don't have any toys that aren't listed there, lol... Though I do have a Furox Beau. He isn't an original though, since I have airbrushed him myself. But the fun thing is that you can't tell in person. He really just looks like he came that way. ^.-.^
Ohh, and I have to say, I Looooove that site!!! I go to it all the time! Amazing! I think I might have to add to the fanart section, hehehe
Lazeros - February 23, 2007 10:26 PM (GMT)
Ohh, and I forgot... If anyone is looking for Dragon booster on Dvd, go and search www.ioffer.com There is someone selling season one and two on dvd. Not disc one and two, season one and two. They are supposed to be high quality bootlegs. But should play nicely on any dvd player. I can report back if it looks good, since I bought it. But remember everyone, even if you buy this, you should still buy the actual release wherever you live, because that is all about supporting the show. I know I will, so you should too. This is just like a sneak preview of sorts. ^.-.^

Thanks! I've put a lot of effort into the site and I still have a lot more planned for it if I can just find the time. I just started a new job recently and my free time has been greatly reduced, but I'll get to it eventually. :)
And your homemade Furox-Beau toy would count as fan art if you want to submit some nice photos of it. :)
By the way, when you forget to mention something in a posting, you can use the edit button above it to add what you forgot instead of double-posting.

hats not true man. There is ALWAYS Ebay. Thats how I got alot of my DB Toys. And, now the UK has their own set of DB McDonalds toys. This is a HUGE sign that Jetix isnt giving up. And, believe me they know about us. The Furox has sent them the petition numeriouse times. And, everyday that continues to grow. And, as that petition grows. Not only will Jetix notice...But, so will Jakks Pacific.
