Description: I need opinions

Airshadow - September 19, 2006 03:13 AM (GMT)
Ok

I was realising that instead a short fic (6-8 chapters) this could be a long one (6-15 chapters)

I need to know your opinions about:

a) shoudl I stop the fics here and continue in next one or just to do a big large fic?

b) As you fremeber I'll drop a hint about Jhanus's identity after I finished a fic, in case of the big large fic: Should I drop the hint after I finished the chapter?????

PLEASEEEEEE I NEED TO KNOW YOUR OPINIONS!!!!!!!!! :*:  :gblast:

Um, i really didnt understand both answer choices, but you should go on writing fic the way you are now.

Ok

Let me explain

I jsut realize that this fic may be very large and in order to be according with I said some weeks ago about drop some hints about Jhanus's identity every time that I finished a fic 'cause I was planning that this fic would be part of a serie.

But I jsut realising that it's a very large fics.

I want you opiniont regarding what I said above, If I should drop a hint every time that I finished a chapter or follow my original plan

Follow the original.

I love that fic!!!!!!! *ahem* with that out of the way, I can't decide. In one long fic, I could read the whole story without clicking on another thread and waiting for it to load. (I have dial-up, its annoyingly slow) But I love the idea of a series...well...cause I love series. :P As long as you finish it, it doesn't matter a whole lot to me. On second thought, stick with your original plan!

Here's my advice for what it's worth:

If a particular work of fiction is turning out to be long, then I think the decision to break it up into separate "books" or not (a la Harry Potter, for example) hinges on whether each "book" is a complete story in itself. Each book should have a beginning, middle and an ending that makes it stand alone as much as possible. In other words, each book should have its own story arc.

If each book doesn't have its own complete story arc, then I'd just keep it as one book and just add chapters until it's done.

Perhaps you could drop a hint after every other chapter if the story's turning out to be long. Or you could make the hints more subtle and obscure. :)
