Title: Db In Malaysia
Description: It's here! Woohoo!!

Burnout Beau - September 10, 2006 05:15 AM (GMT)
After 13 months of waiting, my dream has finally came true. DB has arrived in Malaysia!

The show started airing here two weeks ago. But only people with some sort of add-on decoder thingy (which allows you to access to more channels than the normal TV) can watch the show.

Although it's great, but there's a bad news and good news for me. The bad news is that, although unconfirmed yet, is that only the first 5 episodes of the show will be aired for the whole of September before moving to the next 5 in October. <_< Furthermore, if it rains, the decoder's transmission will be interrupted and I can't watch the show.

But the good news is the amount of air time it got. By my calculations, the show was aired 44 times every week. You heard me, 44 times every week! I can go crazy if I watched them everyday! ^_^

But for me, the most important of all is for the show to gain new fans here in Malaysia. I hope the show can be a success here...

dRagOniDe - September 10, 2006 06:00 AM (GMT)
YAY!!! Good for you!!!! I wish I still could watch DB.... but I'm in school by the time it's aired over here... and it's only aired 5 times a week....

Yeah, Its great news here, thats how I picked it up and that explains why I am a new member............Although it looks that way, I don't think we will only be shown 5 episodes for the entire month of September............I think they intend to show an episode every weekday, and then show all 5 episodes during the weekends.........We will have to see tomorrows episode to know............

But the good news is the amount of air time it got. By my calculations, the show was aired 44 times every week. You heard me, 44 times every week! I can go crazy if I watched them everyday! ^_^

I think my biological clock is timed to 5.30 am every morning to get up and watch the rerun..........

This is something you need to know beaugold, Saargebietdragonrider. The show will only last for 39 episodes and there's a petition set up by the Furox for more eppies and your contributions can make a difference between success and failure of the petition.

If you haven't sign the petition yet, it's here.

Have a nice day, folks! :) :cookie:

Already signed the petition, thank you very much

The Furox - September 13, 2006 07:15 AM (GMT)
Thanks for signing the petition everyone. Every signature counts! We've got over 1600 now and it's still going. And it's definitely cool that Dragon Booster is getting exposure in so many countries.

Armeggadon - September 13, 2006 09:56 PM (GMT)

You gotta believe it now, dorsul. ^_^

The show was also shown in Singapore and don't be suprised if other countries also started showing the series...

dorsul - September 16, 2006 03:13 PM (GMT)
I am not suprised just confused like do they right sub titles for your language or do they just right english.

They have the series dubbed in Malay too, but I prefer the English version... :D

dorsul - September 16, 2006 09:00 PM (GMT)
So you speak in English and Malay in your country cool
I am actually learning geography..

Burnout Beau - September 22, 2006 03:12 PM (GMT)
Hmm, looks like the series has already reached its second season here. No suprises for me, though, 'cuz the ads also show snippets from episode 26. :plot:

The only thing I doubt is the screening of season 3 eppies. I also doubt further that all 13 eppies for season 3 might air here...

From what little I know of TV syndication, TV stations generally buy an entire season or whole sets of seasons to air. Assuming your station has purchased season 3 at all, they most likely have purchased the whole thing which makes it likely they'll air the whole season. So if you see any season 3 episodes, you'll probably see them all.

I hope you get to see them all in any event. :)

Arthapenn - December 11, 2007 09:38 AM (GMT)
I have bad news. It is no longer being aired on Malaysian Tv. I have recorded two exact racing scenes (Defiant), and I can watch the race at any time I want. i also recorded the full episode of Defiant. I loved this episode. It stopped airing the show on 16 November 2007, after twelve months. The reruns were admirable.

The Furox - December 11, 2007 06:25 PM (GMT)
That's a bummer that it ended there. I'm curious, did they show the entire series during that time or just the third season?

Yeah, when I have nearly 3 months of holiday to watch it. :(

In the beginning, they only showed up to "Professor Stubborn". After five rounds later, the last 3 eppies were showed eventually.

In other words, all 39 episodes have been aired on TV and was repeated for about 3-5 times before it ended.

PS: I can't believe lame shows like Mon-Colle Knights is still on air! <_<

The Furox - December 15, 2007 05:31 AM (GMT)
Yeah, there are lots of shows on TV for which I don't understand how they could be so popular. But they are popular, so I guess it must be me. :)

Anyway, I'm glad they eventually aired the whole series where you are. Even though the show is off the air here as well, Toon Disney did repeat the whole thing more times than I could count during the three years it was on. And for a while they were re-running like 10-12 episodes per week. So it certainly got a lot of airtime while it was on. That's something at least. I still miss it not being on though. Sigh.

Deathshallcome - December 15, 2007 05:32 AM (GMT)
well Furox... you can still try to get it back on ya know. Never give up and try hard.

You got yourself a DB DVD from Canada itself? Wow, never expected that... ;)

Arthapenn - December 22, 2007 06:18 AM (GMT)
While it may not be airing in Malaysia anymore, the show is currently on Central channel in Singapore. It is on Friday. The channel can be watched on any tv in Singapore, without sat.dish. It means you can catch it in hotels, etc. I discovered it just this week, while I was reading the newspaper. Malaysians can see what programmes Singapore people can watch.

Now, are there any fans from Singapore? If there are, please respond. Thank you.

DB is coming back to Malaysia, and it will only be shown at 7:30am, from Monday to Friday. It starts from 1/2/08.

Ooh.... That's great news! :)

I can catch Malaysian (Sp?) Tv in Canada so I might be able to watch it.... Only if the time is right. It is on 7:30 Malaysian time right? I'll have to convert it to my time zone. :)
