Ok We're sharing our DB's dream but what about our worse Nightmares, ya know, those ones that wake up breathing hard and scared.

MMy worst nightmare with those characteristics will make you laught, I dreamed some weeks ago that I have to do an important exam and I hadn't studied, I awoke scared until I realised that I finished university several years go!!!!!!! ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ :D :D :D

I had two good nightmares when I was a kid. I still remember them well.
I had one nightmare where I walked into a small elevator (for two or three people). The doors closed and I felt it moving horizontally, like on a conveyor. Then I've heard the sound of fire and everything got hot. Tried opening the doors but unsuccesfuly. As usual, woke up sweaty, with my sheets on the floor and rapid breath.
If you think this is weird then wait till you hear my other nightmare ^_^

Honestly, I even enjoy my nightmares. I couldn't BEGIN to list them all, but here are a couple:

Last night I dreamt that I lived in a fantasy world. The king's wizard stole the kingdom's essence and made his get away with the aid of his familiar, a very large hawk that carried him by the shoulders. He was going to give the essence to a warring kingdom and, of course, a group was sent after him. This consisted of a few knights, the princess (who had stowed away by accident in all the chaos), and myself. What made this a nightmare? I was an enchanted doll  . The kingdom made these sexless, rather cute, little pink-haired fellows as royal companions. They were generally created to do menial tasks and were forced to do dangerous or otherwise rather disgusting tasks until being worked to death. :eep: I won't delve into the ending because...erm...it got rather morbid and inappropriate.

Another:

I lived in a desert and that I had a twin. We were identical, but my sister was always somehow much more elegant and far prettier than I was. I saw myself as very plain. We owned a motel that was always vacant and completely isolated from the outside world. My twin was obsessed with death and often laid herself out like a corpse. She claimed she could speak freely with those who were already dead and had quite a few "friends" that I couldn't see.

Eventually, we had a guest at our motel. He paid for a room and during the night, raped my sister. For some reason, since I was her twin, I knew what was happening. I killed the man with a knife and made sure my sister was all right before dragging the body off to the bath house for the time being. During this process I can hear what my sister does and the corpse is trying to keep up a conversation with me. I ignore this and go to clean up the mess. On the way back I saw more cars pulling in and realized that our guest had been traveling ahead of a few friends of his.

I ran and told my sister to hide. As soon as she left I met the men. I won't go into detail but, of course they eventually spotted the blood and the friend's things and put two and two together. One pulls a gun and they all come after me. For some reason I rush to the bathhouse, where the water is all running. The room is all steamy but the corpse is trying to talk to me, so he's easy to find. Of course, I find my sister there chatting with him, all zombie-like. The men don't know I have a twin and I don't want them to kill both of us, so I run back out to catch their attention. I remember almost making it out the bathhouse door before I get shot and just fall down into the water. At this point I woke up.

And that's all I feel like typing out right now :P .

My nightmares are more...just plain weird.

eg. I dreamed that the blonde chick from Degrassi was chasing me through 'Flower Power' with a machine gun. It ended with her beheading me with a shovel.

Penny Dreadful - September 3, 2006 01:15 AM (GMT)
I have completely nonsensical nightmares sometimes too.

Once I dreamt that my friends and I were the only ones left alive in an apocolyptic future...in which everyone was a werewolf...Of course, we had to dispatch them Living Dead style. My weapon of choice were flasks of cheap vodka and a blow torch. I would take a swig of vodka, spew it at the offending werewolves, and...well...if I have to explain myself any further, I'm dissapointed in the lot of you. I survived the hoardes of werewolves, only to be squished by a bookcase.

When I was little I had night terrors or, what they call, incubus dreams. I would have a nightmare and wake up, but the nightmare would continue. In other words, your nightmare is sort of superimposed over the waking world. A couple of these are actually my earliest memories. I remember three very vividly:

1. I was being chased through the desert by furniture with spider legs. I woke up, only to see my vanity and night stand sprout spider legs and chase me into the hall. (I was a fan of the movie Willow as a kid. I blame that)

2. This one actually only began after I wake up. I got out of bed and went into the living room in the dark because I thought I heard someone calling me. I remember going into the living room and looking around. I couldn't find anyone so I went back to my bedroom. I froze in the doorway, suddenly seeing all my stuffed animals and baby dolls now sitting on my bed, playing poker and smoking cigars. One of my baby dolls (now speaking in a voice like the baby in Who Framed Roger Rabbit) asked me what the hell I was staring at and told me to get the **** out  . Hey, when you're four or five and your Cabbage Patch doll is using particularly bad language...you get out of there...

3. I was dreaming that I was in the park with all the classic movie monsters - Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, the werewolf, the invisible man, Creature from the Black Lagoon, ect. We were at a picnic and decided to have a contest in which we would skii, holding onto triangle banners. The person who held on the longest without falling down won. Well, my banner pulled far too quickly and I went flying. I woke up landing face up on the floor beside my bed, just in time to see Dracula lean down to ask if I was all right and offer me a hand up.

Okay, so the last one was too bad ^-^;;. I was rather thankful that Dracula was nice enough to offer to help me to my feet. During the other two, but during the many other night terrors I experianced someone literally had to catch me and shake me to calm me down or stop my screaming. The night terrors stopped when I got older. Now I just have lucid dreams in their stead, i.e. I realize I'm dreaming and get to do whatever I want ^_^ . That's always a lot of fun.

I haven't had any nightmares for a long time, except for some small ones before important events like exams where i dream i sleep too late, or miss something. But my biggest nightmares were when i was little. I kept dreaming about this giant plastic doll, that just kept scaring the hell out of me for some reason. The first time i dreamed of *her*, *she* was following me through a house slowly, and i was freaked out. another time i remember *her*, I didn't actually see her, but I knew *she* was there. I was in my living room, and the clock was red, and was going backwards. I then freaked and ran around screaming "she's here! she's here!". Not fangs, bloody, scary, but creepy scary like in the grudge

In my normal dreams, I sort of dream about random bits of things that happened to me recentley, in very wierd circumstaces. Sometimes though, i realize that something is wrong, and i concentrate and am aware that i am inside a dream, and then i can make it end. I once dreamed that i was falling, but then i became aware that i could fly, turn, do anything i wanted! it was wierd, being in controll of dreams. I wish that i could really do it more, even tomake my own dreams. Tha't be very fun. I think that i would first dream of Beau! (of course)

What would you do if you could controll your own dreams?

Airshadow - September 3, 2006 03:35 AM (GMT)
If I could control my dreams I would like to remember them, I jsut can remember few of my dreams.

the only recent dreams that I could remember were those one where my dad is with us, I miss him terribly :(

Kay Yasha - September 3, 2006 05:56 AM (GMT)
I love waking dreams or nightmares. they're so freaky and ramdom. I usually have them when I wake up at three in the morning and start to nod off again.

I'm sorry to hear that Airshadow. I know how you feel, I had several dreams like that but with my brother, I never thought I would lose him so soon. :(

----
I also have dreams where I have to do exams and they are in Chinese :eep:

There is also a dream I had time ago that I can't forget; I was walking in the street at nigth and suddenly I found a big dog (like a very muscular Great Dane) with three heads. I began to run and he follow me (not in a freindly way, he look diabolic), I got to a dead end and when I turn back he was there waiting, then I woke up.

And I have this dream very regularly; there is always a tall man trying to kill me with a knife, I try to escape from him but he always found me, then I decide to confront him and I grab a knife and try to hurt him but nothing happens, he is like inmortal. And in the last dream I had like this, when I attack him he stab me with his knife in my back and I remember that hurt me. :eep: Then I woke up.

I also can control sometimes my dreams, sometimes I can fly or I can have powers. And some times I recognice that I'm in a nigtmare and concentrate to wake up. Is a really wierd sensation.

arthur - September 3, 2006 06:25 PM (GMT)
Hmm... Be careful, Nayade. What if those ar visions? :eep:
P.S.: if you will let that man kill you I suppose that the nightmares will end because the maniac will suceed in his 'mission'.
Ok, here's my other nightmare.
I don't remember where it began but the memory starts like so:
I found myself on some kind of platform. In front of me there was a black building. There were more next to it seperated by empty space and everything distantly reminded of a New York streets.
I looked down and saw only darkness below. The sky was dark red. Then I heard a scream of a woman, I think she yelled out something like 'run! Hide!'. Then I looked up and saw something approaching and felt panic. I turned around and found a wall of the building from which the platform was hanging. I looked up and saw something like a stargate on the roof about five meters above. I tried jumping but couldn't make it.
Then I suddenly found myself in a room that looked like mine. My mom was in the balcony quickly gathering something into a basketI stood ready to shut the door as I saw that thing coming. My mom walked into the room and I was about to close the door as my dog sneaked into the balcony. After a few moments of calling it, the dog walked back in and I tried closing the door.
And guess what, the door was smaller than its frame! The thing that caused the panic was actually a group of flying rats that were now very close. I desperately tried to close the door as the rats were now meters from me and I made an inhuman scream like thing and woke up.
Weird enough for ya? :P :D

I think I have to recognice that is a nigthmare and try to wake up or to win him with power :plot: .

I remember now another nigthmare where I always lose in the end but in the last time I dream it I didn't lose. What I remember is that I was like a spy or I was involved in something like that. I was in a Mall and when I go out I remember that in that part of the dream there was always some one that shot me (ok I know this is :eep: ) at the same time I saw my cat meows at me (I say it rigth? ) well, she was very insisting and she goes into the Mall always turning back to look at me, as she was trying to say me "follow me" and I follow her. In the Mall I grab my cat and woke up. I thinks she save me this time^^
I think I don't need terror movies :D

I like to think I know a bit about dream interpretation. Recurring dreams are the ones you should really listen to. From the description you provided I would say that there might be troubles with your family. There might be something you're trying to get across to them, but you don't trust that they'll react well or maybe just that they won't understand. In this last dream of yours, there might be some sort of conflict with you and your family or you might be afraid of doing something to start one.

I'm not sure I understood you correctly, but do you mean that you're dreaming of a real world project going horribly wrong in your dreams? If so, that's pretty common. You're probably just feeling overworked. Those sort of dreams are usually brought on by stress or anxiety.

Wraithmaster - September 5, 2006 02:23 PM (GMT)

I looked around my room, evrything was grey, there were massive rectanggled objects and it looked nothin like my room. I was scared I kept walking through rooms. That were faminular to the lounge and kitchen. Then there were more huge objects. finaly I woke up, at 11pm. I was on the doormat just infront of the back door, mum and dad came in they had just got back from shopping.

Couldn't say. ^_^ I don't really know you personally. If you are stressed about work, though, you probably need to do something differently to manage your work load.

Beautiful Beau is the Best - September 5, 2006 08:08 PM (GMT)
I had a DB nighmare once. I can't find that 'DB Dreams' topic, so i'll just put it here.

It's pretty straightforward, i was lost in the Old City when i came upon the DB and SB fighting (by the Muhortah) Then the Muhortah sent one of it's draining arms at me and SB and DB refused to save me because they didn't get their free popcorn and movie like i promised them. (I do NOT remember that part ^_^ ) And then i woke up all sweating.

like you said before. nightmares have you wake up deep breathing, swety and all that stuff. well last night was strange. every week i have the same dream at least once a week. ussally i wake up to find myself on the floor. this dream i had last night was like the others only i woke up at very creepy place.
i was beau. well every time i have this dream i am. me and artha were in legend form. there was fire everwhere. people were screaming. so were dragons. then this strange thing happened i thought dragon human war. i was right. then the furox showed up. there were the other colors of draconium. and we used those colors to defeat the furox. but then after we defeated the furox i felt the presonce of a human behind me. i was too late and the human took out a 3inch sword and stabbed me in the back. i felt my life drain away. the last thing i saw was a mettalic silver dragon with silver wings. before i woke up i identified him as silverwing. a very good freind of mine. then i woke up on the floor. this dream was sssssssssssoooooooooooooo different. ussaly it stops after i defeat the furox.
