I know there are alot of Stargate Fans here. I just found this article today on Gateworld.net.

QUOTE
In the week since the cancellation of Stargate SG-1 was announced (story), fans from all over the world have come together to show their support for America's longest-running science fiction series. Fans hope that by writing letters, sending faxes and tissue boxes (see "Children of the Gods" if you don't get the reference), making phone calls, and supporting the show on television and iTunes, they will send a message that there is a lot of life left in the series.

I was really upset to find this out I just hope the Show ends on a good note and doesn't leave the fans hanging at the end.

Though I don't watch the show I do find it a bit surprising that they are cancelling it. I always thought it was fairly popular.

That was my exact reaction after reading the article. It seems though by the wording of it MGM had to planned Cancel it after this Season Anyway.

The same thing happened with Star Trek: Enterprise. Lots of fans, but Paramount cancelled it anyway. It was a real bummer since the writers had just started to hit their stride with that series.

Rumour has it that MGM is looking for another home for the show (like Sci-Fi did when Showtime gave it up.
Let`s hope they find one before it`s too late!
