Description: The fic I promised in my art!

Title: Time's Changing
Genre/s: Supernatural/Action
Rating:PG for now
Concrit: Encouraged
Pairing; Maybe, if people annoy me about it.
AN; Okay, here I go again. I wrote this after reading the transcript of...that episode where Artha and Beau switch bodies. Artha seemed to have a pretty easy time in that body. For one, he could walk. Most humans don’t have a good time walking in their own bodies, let alone one that was maybe six tonnes larger, four legged with a totally different centre of gravity...don’t mind my rambling, just enjoy yourselves!
Connor; You should be doing your history paper.
Kay; Who asked you?!
Connor; You did. Multiple times. And you said you were going to do it today, remember?
Kay; Shut up Mortis, before I erase you! (Hand hovers over keyboard.)
Connor;...
Kay; Thank you. Now, onto the show!

Connor Penn sighed and rubbed his forehead. With all the stress he had been through lately, it wasn’t surprising he was getting a migraine.
“DAD! DaddaddaddadDAD!” Lance yelled, sprinting over with Fracshun in pursuit. “Dad! Artha found a dragon, I think it’s hurt!” He tackled his father’s legs and looked up at him with huge eyes. “It’s thrashing around and going crazy!”
Lance pulled at Connor’s arm desperately with all the strength his ten-year-old body could give. Connor followed quickly behind him. He soon heard what was going on. Artha, Parm and Kitt yelling over roars that were obviously from a dragon. They rounded the corner and Connor hissed in sympathy for the animal.
It was a small dark dragon with lighter markings scattered randomly over it's body. It's limbs were scratching helplessly over the floor; unable to raise it’s body. The poor thing’s head jerked back and forth, screaming while it’s tail lashed out behind it. The single silver eye Connor could see was rolling around in panic.
Artha and Kitt were trying to calm the dragon down, but couldn’t get close enough without being hit. Connor moved toward it slowly. There was no blood he could see; maybe it was a broken leg or the like...
“DAD LOOK OUT!”
Connor threw himself back just in time to avoid being hit by the dragon’s tail.
“Don’t you have trapping gear somewhere Artha?!” Kitt yelled.
“Oh yeah...Sorry Dad.” Artha beckoned to Beau, getting ready to use said gear.
The dark dragon roared louder and continued to thrash until it was trapped by the gear. It was still panicking, snarling furiously at them and scratching away at the floor.
Connor knelt next to the creature, murmuring soothing noises to it. He moved to pet its neck carefully. The dragon jerked it's head away with a scream. Something was wrong here...
“Is it hurt?” Lance asked quickly. His eyes were locked onto the dragon’s head as it fell to the ground, chest heaving.
“I don’t know, it doesn’t look like it.” Connor murmured. “It’s just scared.”
The dragon was slowly calming down, not being able to throw it’s self around anymore. It simply lay still, it’s eyes darting around. Connor continued to pet it carefully, looking for injuries. The dark dragon called out again, sounding like a big, scared crow-drag.
“We should get it back home.” Connor murmured, mostly to himself. The dragon snorted angrily and strained against the gear. “I’m not sure what’s wrong with it.”
“Are you sure that’s a good idea? What if it’s someone else’s?” Kitt asked in her usual ‘a tiny bit too fast’ way.
“If it were someone else’s it wouldn’t be out here all alone.” Connor pointed out, beginning to remove the gear. He kept one part attached and tied the other to Beau. “I need you to make sure it doesn’t fall.” He told the gold dragon, which nodded and began to pull the other upright.
The dark dragon fell over onto it’s back before managing to stand, legs shaking. Beau pulled it toward the stables. The dragon snarled and screeched the entire way, still stumbling. It tried to put weight on its small front legs only to flip over when it’s legs gave out. It was slow going, but eventually they managed to herd the dragon into one of the stalls.
The dark animal flopped down onto its side, watching them guardedly. Connor watched it over the stall door, unsure of what to do. Kitt moved to stand next to him, hands on her hips.
“I didn’t think Black draconium dragons were ever on two legs.” Lance said quickly, looking up at his father for an answer.
“I haven’t seen one before, but I guess there are.” Kitt smiled at him.
“Well it looks drac! Can I go in with it for a while? I’ll be really careful!” Lance sent Connor his puppy eyes.
“Not until I find out what’s wrong with it.” Connor told him sternly. The little boy’s face fell and he began to sulk. Connor wracked his brain for anything that could make a dragon act that way. “Maybe when it’s better, all right Lance?”
“’Kay!” Lance grinned and ran off. “I’m gunna make sure I have some candy bars to give it!”

Sounds interesting to me so far. :)
Something about the way you described the thrashing dragon really caught me. Your description of its behavior was quite well done! I hope to read more!

Not planning to comment on the conversation with your Muses, but the fic itself sounds pretty good so far. There are a few too many grammar errors for such a short piece, particularly the confusion of "its" and "it's", but overall it seems like a fairly interesting premise with IC behaviour. What I presume is dragon!Moordryd's hysterics seem like a pretty logical reaction to turning into something so different.

I'm liking it so far. :cookie: Like DargonXKS said, the description of the panicky dragon was good. I'm interested to see where the story is going to.
One small note: Artha's father spells his name "Connor" not "Conner". :)

Damn it. Sorry Sarah Frost, my spell check must have changed all the 'it's'. Now I have to edit them all back in... :(

Got a friend who is also pondering and ploting a Dragon!Moordryd fic. Hers seems much diffrent than yours, but yours is written! Which makes it much more enjoyable!
I noted that you kept the same color eyes, did Moordryd keep anything else? Shoulder/forepaw configuration more like a human's than a dragons, ultraskininess, etc?
Also, on your A/N, I'd figure a human would have an easier time adapting to becoming a terapod than a biped. Four feet on the ground is easier to balance on, and we all started out crawling, after all.
One protest, the never seeing a twolegged Black dragon before. Well I can understand them not seeing it, but I can't see them as not existing, since we HAVE seen a twolegger Green dragon. (Not just a color shift, this guy had the brown face like that of Cyrano's, and I think simular horns). Maybe Connor has seen some.

Good story, I thought I'd like it and I did :).
Post the next chapter soon, please.
I do hope you keep Moordryd's character. Hmm... I wonder what will happen when Moordryd meets Decepshun ^_^ OR finds out Artha's secret :plot:
