Title: Dorsull's Dragon
Description: I need to confirm his name

Nayade - August 15, 2006 11:26 PM (GMT)
I see some time ago The Chromatic Dragon and in the first minutes Dorsull call his dragon Altai, I don't know if I write it rigth but that is how it sounds. And I don't know if in the English version he said Altai or not. So, someone can confirm that please^^

In the English version of "Chromatic Dragon", I thought Dorsul called his dragon something like "highdive." I'm not sure about the spelling (or misspelling...), though, so I won't be of much use for that. :P

I think that is Hightide or Marea alta in Spanish, apropiate to a fish class dragon

Well i did hear the highdive but didn't he say that when say the distravtive mine(sp?).
so I think highdive mean eject. i don't know

No, it wasn't then. When Ferryt shot the penning gear in front of Dorsul and High-Dive, that was when Dorsull shouted something like "High-Dive, look out!"

Yes, I'm pretty sure he says "High Dive, look out!" They might have translated this name for other languages, so something with Alta in it would be likely for Spanish. But the English name for this dragon is High Dive.

*shakes head sadly* It's high tide. That's more logical, and a very... watery name. I don't know the spelling, but it's High Tide. ;)

...How is it that? I don't believe I've ever heard it pronounced that way.

Highdive is very different from Altai^^, but in pronunciation it can have some similarity. I thing that they change the name in the Spanish version to make it more easy to pronounce. But I was looking for the original name that the authors gave it, so thanks to all :)

Weird. Perhaps I just have funny hearing... High Tide, High Dive... so similar.... :faint:

yeah. i heard 'high dive.' i'm working on a transcript for that episode.
so i'm sure it's 'highdive'

The dragon's name is HighDyve for sure. See the Character Reference that The Magna Draconis sent us. No more doubt about the name, plus we know he's a male and is "agile, slippery and unpredictable." :)
