I didn't see any harm in starting a new thread for this one. People start new threads for fics and these take me considerably more work than a fic :P .

Anyway, I had so much fun doing my last DB AMV that I decided to do another. This one was a much longer song: Chrome by VNV Nation. I didn't have much of an idea of what I wanted to do at first but this came out as a sort of comparison between Artha and Moordryd and their parents, the rivalry between the latter two carrying on to a new generation, ect...at least that's how it looks to me... :D .

The timing and quality were a little off again with the YouTube transference. It certainly isn't as bad as last time. It's probably only noticeable to me since it took a little while to make. The program was lagging so badly that I had to export everytime I edited a clip, and there are A LOT of clips in this one.

Thanks everyone ^-^. I'm thinking about fitting in one more while I'm waiting for my boyfriend to get my DVDs back to me. See, with Dragon Booster I already have the episodes on my computer. With other videos I have to rip the material which creates HUGE files. So, if I started an AMV with other material now, I'd either have to finish the AMV before I could move on to the project I've been planning or trash the whole thing. Since I don't want to do either, I'm listening around for a good song. If anyone has any suggestions on music or just clips they'd like to see, feel free to throw them at me ^-^;;.

I really want to use a Rasputina song. Rasputina's lyrics are always a bit nonsensical, though. I was considering using "Things I'm Gonna Do". I've also been thinking about using Jack off Jill's Horrible. Unfortunately, I'm afraid the latter might be completely inappropriate. JoJ has some completely vulgar (in the good way) songs and, surprisingly, Horrible isn't one them...but it does employ the "F-word" once and...rather obviously at that. I know that a lot of DB fans are, erm, a bit younger than I am :unsure: so, I don't want to be responsible for warping any fragile little minds. It's only ever any fun to warp the older ones.

The song grated on me (not my tastes), but you chose some really dramatic sequences. Looks nice, even on YouTube quality. :)

I agree the fanvids deserve threads in their own right, but maybe Fan Art would be a better place for the recent influx of them as against having lots of advertising threads in this discussion area. It'd be great if there was a Miscellaneous Fan Works section. *goes to make request*

Well, you can't make everyone happy ^-^;;. Personally, I hate the music in a lot of crazyperson's slower vids (not that she isn't very talented). I like to think I have an eclectic taste in music, but if I see one more Linkin Park AMV...I don't know what I'll do...o.o.

I LOVED the opening music! Right when Mortis got in the air, the music was spectacular! I tried viewing it from a person who didn't know DB, and trust me, i bet they loved it! And then it kinda went down-hill from there.....For me! I just didn't liked the guys singing... but i still loved it! Artha was faster to activate his thruster gear i noticed. Quicker reflexes. Well, most of the time. :D

But really, it was a awesome MV. My favourite part was the very beginning of the song.

I loved the upbeat electric backgroound of the song. I wished it stood out a bit more. But at the beginning, some parts of the song the blurred the beat, (since i love the opening, i was blowing my speakers) so i went onto my ' Multi-channel Audio Configuration' thingy, went to the 'Equalizer' and tinkered around with it until it became PERFECT. Then i saved it. Drac job Penny!

VNV Nation is one of those synth bands you either love or hate ^-^. For me it's like someone reading good poetry over some far too catch music. My favorite song of their's is Beloved...but it doesn't particularly match Dragon Booster...and is about 8 minutes long :unsure: .

You Tube did screw with the music some, the beats that is. I'm not sure how but it sort of...compressed it...or, like you said, Hunter, blurred.

I'm working on a new AMV (I think of AMVs as anime music videos OR animated music videos, as the latter was the original context...DB = cell shaded...cell shaded = animation) while I wait to get the clips I need to start on a new fandom. I have to warn people though, this one was made purely for fun. Not that it isn't good, I just didn't keep much of an audience in mind as I made it. It's to the song Baby Dracula, by Scarling. ^-^;; If anyone can possibly guess what clips I'm putting to it, I'll give ya a cookie. :cookie:
