Title: Suspension And Deletion
Description: The basics

LightningFlash - July 31, 2006 03:01 AM (GMT)
This seems to be something that comes up a lot, and the cause of a lot of confusion. Hopefully this topic will help to eliminate confusion, speculation, and the act itself.

The best, tried and true method of avoiding trouble is simply to read and follow the rules. It's seems I can't stress this enough. I reread these quite often myself, looking for ways to improve them and make the easier to understand. I am also open to suggestions members might have about ways to improve them, or new rules that you feel are needed. Please remember, though, that I need you to respect final decisions made, whether you agree with them or not.

Suspension.

The first few times a user breaks the rules I'll give them a warning and hope for the best. (The warning will be delivered as I see fit, either on the forum or via PM.) If the behaviour continues, they will be suspended, generally for a week. Suspended users recieve an email explaining why they were suspended, and when they will be able to use the forum again.

Banning (deletion).

If a member returns from being suspended and continues to break the rules, or screws up some other way, then they will be deleted.

There are several was to get banned instantly, such as art theft, abuse of other members, multiple accounts, spamming, etc.

I really, really don't want to be continually dealing out warnings, suspensions, and banning members. I didn't create this forum so that I could delete users, and I know that doing so means that I can sometimes come across as quite nasty. The rate of suspension and deletion has been very low lately, and I really appreciate this. So please let's keep it up, so that everyone (myself included!) can enjoy this forum. :)

Edit: I've also closed the other suspension thread, as it seemed to be full of pointless and possibly hurtful speculation, and general nastiness (I claim no innocence regarding the latter.)

Yeah, I also noticed that Hunter was labeled as "Unregistered" yesterday. What happened? Was she suspended or deleted?

Woah, my computer just went through a huge bout of craziness and I came up unregistered. Does anyone know why this happens? It was only for about five minutes.

LightningFlash - September 15, 2006 10:54 PM (GMT)
Hunter's been banned permanently. She recieved a very big second chance a while ago, but chose to blow it.

Making sure your posts are readable, relevant, spelt at least marginally well and remembering to be friendly is a good way to start. ;)

Also, the rules make for very useful reading.

Theres no way in tarnation at all that I can afford to get deleted from this group. I guess Ill just have to follow the rules.*Oh cruel fate!**Laughs* No seriously I check the rules everyonce in a while and refresh my memory.

Deathshallcome - August 4, 2007 05:34 PM (GMT)
I know the rules and I shall follow them. I don't wanna get banned from here.
