Some dobuts that I've have?

as how they clasificate the fics and where can I get a beta reader for my dragon booster fics?

Sarah Frost - August 17, 2005 06:18 PM (GMT)
This is the site with the ratings used by the Pit o' Voles, and you get a beta by pretty much asking for it--on here, for example, or by putting it into a ff.net profile, or even asking to contact another writer via a review (the latter not highly recommended, as the point of the review button is to make a review not demand a beta, though that was how I got in contact with most of my fandom friends). These livejournals also relate to the issue, though you'll need an account to post, and they might not be precisely what you want.

I do some betareading myself, though now uni's back on the time it takes for me to return a fic may be a bit longer than desirable. I'm good with spelling and grammar, though I haven't seen all the DB eps.

Errr

Thanks that helps alot also I want to know how is clasified the temes in Fanfiction.net: Romantico, horror and sort is pretty easy... But I feel confused with Crossover with other cartoons/sows and Altered universe.

In a closed BW site was prettty easy: behind escenes, crossovers etc.

Crossover involves characters and situations in one story mingling with characters and situations from another. For example, a mysterious portal opens in the middle of the Little Mermaid's magic castle and transports her and Sebastian to Dragon City.

AU can be Alternative Universe (eg. Artha Penn, jock, Parmon Sean, nerd, and Kitt Wann, rebel, must navigate the harsh waters of junior high school in a small town in modern USA), where the universe has changed, but it can also mean something that should really be AT, for Alternative Timeline: eg. I haven't seen the second series episode, and if I wrote a fic ignoring them set after the last episode I'd seen, that would be AT. Other examples of AT include changing details on purpose, to see how it affects the universe (eg. Moordryd was chosen instead of Artha), and ignoring deaths (eg. Harry Potter fandom and Sirius). Basically AU is anything that is contrary to canon.

Also tragedy (sad stories), mystery (stories involving a person/event that is unknown or strange to the main characters, where someone wants to figure out what's happened; see also 'murder mysteries'), adventure (plot-driven), romance (relationship-driven), sci-fi (involves technology beyond current day, and, in fanfiction, focuses on the sort of scenarios focused on some aspect of technology) fantasy (involves non-Earth world and usu. magic; in fanfiction focuses on scenarios probably involving magic), general (no major pairings, usually very canonesque), etcetera. Canon, of course, might make EVERY piece of fanfic fantasy or sci-fi etcetera, but obviously when classifying one's work the aspects chosen are the ones that apply most to the fic.

What's the clasification that Fansfiction.net has for those fics that happen among chapters?

By example, if I do a mini fic that happen among "Hero Pride" and next one?

ShadowCat - August 18, 2005 10:51 AM (GMT)
I don't know. Do they even have one?

Sarah Frost - August 18, 2005 01:09 PM (GMT)
No, I don't think they do. Just put that sort of information in the summary.
