Title: I Can't Believe It!!!!

Skye - June 18, 2006 02:34 PM (GMT)
I posted my art here on the halobabies.net forum...

http://www.halobabies.net/forum/viewtopic....der=asc&start=0

They claim the art isn't mine!!! You'll even see on the second page the_elimator makes some stupid comment about the art styles not matching up, well of course they don't, I don't use the same technique every single flippin' time!!!
*goes on a rampage*

random-one - June 18, 2006 02:58 PM (GMT)
ohh my god thats not fare :eep: your to much good of an artist to steal or copy somones work :plot: kill them!!!!!!!! anyway most of that art doesn't ethen look like your pictures :plot:

Skye - June 18, 2006 03:21 PM (GMT)
I gave them six links that are all mine, and my three different e-mail addresses. If thats not enough proof then I don't know what is.
*slumps* I used to be a member there a long time ago but I forgot the username and pass when I came back. Instead of going through the process of getting it back I made a new account, posted my work and boom, they claim I pirate simply because the styles are different. Yeah so I do my dragon booster art in basic shading but thats what dragon booster is like, its all simple colouring. I just add a few more shades than the show does ya know?
*sigh* well i'm waiting for a reply from them, its so insulting to be accused.

random-one - June 18, 2006 03:23 PM (GMT)
have you told them that your the same person but that you forgot your pasword

Skye - June 18, 2006 03:34 PM (GMT)
I didn't bother, the attitude i'm getting now is bad enough. Follow that link and go to page two, you'll see the whole thing.

random-one - June 18, 2006 03:39 PM (GMT)
ok sorry

Skye - June 18, 2006 04:01 PM (GMT)
:P no need to apologise

random-one - June 18, 2006 04:02 PM (GMT)
lol well i would just ignore them there just jealous ;) because they cant draw for poo's sake lol

Skye - June 18, 2006 04:13 PM (GMT)
:D LOL LOL LOL!!! :D

random-one - June 18, 2006 04:17 PM (GMT)
just soooooooooo jealous <_<

Nayade - June 18, 2006 08:03 PM (GMT)
This things happen, and as Random-one said there just jealous, with all the proof that you give them, it have to be enough. They have to understand that the style changes with the time and with the mood. That happens to me and, I think, with almost all the artists.

hana&rayne122 - June 18, 2006 09:04 PM (GMT)
well poo on them!!! <_< Btw, i like all the Beau pictures!!! :D

random-one - June 18, 2006 09:36 PM (GMT)
jealous heads

Hmm. And this is exactly the sort of maturity that every admin wants to see on their forum. Two words of advice; Grow. Up.

Plagerism is very serious. Wrongly accused or not, I believe Skye would appreciate the fervour if it were directed at someone who had stolen her art and claimed it as their own. Likewise, in cases of plagerism on this forum, the accuser has not recieved abuse, mistaken or otherwise. Perhaps a little appreciation for their vigilence and efforts to prevent plagerism is in order, instead of this mindless stupidity.

phsycopathicdragon - June 19, 2006 12:38 PM (GMT)
That is an unfair accusation Skye, you should show them all your proof just to shut them up. Trust me, you'll feel better. But still, just like random-one said, the're just jelous of your amazing art.

random-one - June 19, 2006 07:48 PM (GMT)
well skye you go girl ^_^
you are a girl?

ShadowCat - June 20, 2006 12:08 AM (GMT)
I can understand why people might have been a bit suspicious. Sounds like there was really only one person who was actually rude. Most people seemed to handle it quite well. Plagerism is pretty serious after all. No one wants to have someone else steal something they worked really hard on and claim it as their own.

I understand the seriousness of plagerism, however if you accuse someone there is no reason to not be mature about it. The person who accused me is apparently the forum dolt and he struck me as such, though I do give credit for taking the plate and trying to see if I were pirating. I am dissapointed because I asked for an apology and he has not replied since, oh well.
If you ever catch someone who is possibly pirating warn them politely but keep yourself a bit stern, don't go off and make a fool of yourself and always apologise for wrong accusations *thumbs up* thats just a little tip to save yourelf embarassment for any of those times that may come up at some point.

LightningFlash - June 22, 2006 05:29 AM (GMT)
Maybe it's just me but I thought they were being mature about it. Much more mature than 'stupid poo head', certainly. They provided water-tight evidence in a reasonable way that I probably would have believed if I were without evidence to the contrary, as the accuser is. It's easy to say "Look at that link, it's me." Harder to believe "I use ten online names, but they really are all me!"

It's certainly possible that they still don't believe you, and therefore feel no need to apologise. But no matter how you look at it, this person is protecting your art.

random-one - June 22, 2006 03:48 PM (GMT)
sorry lightningflash :( i was being very silly i will now grow up ;)

Skye - June 22, 2006 04:22 PM (GMT)
Hm, I guess you're right LightningFlash, I was just angry and hurt when the accusations started flying. I was afraid they weren't going to believe me when I told them I have different names however I did give them the proof. Oh well, i'm thinkin' i'll probably stick to one symbol for all my art so there is no confusion and provide a few screenshots of me working on the next art ya know? More confortable if people actually believe you.

LightningFlash - June 24, 2006 05:55 AM (GMT)
Certainly is. :)

A watermark is a good idea, too.
