That is indeed true. As of right now, Disney is holding back volume 2 of season 2 due to slow sales of volume 1. So all Gargoyles fans reading this should go out and buy the two DVDs that are already out or there may be no more.
The Gathering, 2006I thought I'd post some photos I took at the convention so others can see what went on. It's kind of fun to see the people who make the shows. Note that these pictures are all rather grainy. The lighting was really poor in the rooms and I was usually too far away for a flash to work. So I had to shoot with a high ISO setting and just live with the grain.
Here's a shot of Greg Weisman at the opening ceremonies of the convention. Greg, of course, is the creator and producer of Gargoyles. The whole idea for the show is his, so this is the top guy:

This photo was taken during a panel session with the main production team:

From the left the people are:
Greg Weisman - creator
Micheal Reaves - writer and story editor
Fred Schaefer - development associate
Dave Schwartz - storyboard artist, also has worked on The Simpsons, Rugrats, Ninja Turtles and more.
Bob Kline - storyboard artist, also has worked on Gummi Bears, Tale Spin, Darkwing Duck, Bonkers and more.
In addition to the Gargoyles crew, they had people from other shows there as well. These two guys:

are Bob Schooley (left) and Mark McCorkle. Their most recent claim to fame is that they are the creators and producers for "Kim Possible". Prior to that, they were writers for the Aladdin TV series, the Buzz Lightyear TV series as well as the two direct video Aladdin movies.
Here we have another panel session, this time with Tad Stones (left) and Jim Cummings:

Tad has done tons of stuff with Disney TV animation: creator and producer for "Rescue Rangers" and "Darkwing Duck", producer for the "Aladdin" and "Buzz Lightyear" TV series and producer for both Aladdin direct video sequels. He has left Disney now and is working on direct video movies based on the "Hellboy" comics.
Jim Cummings is a voice actor who has done more voices than I could possibly list. Most notably, he is the voice of Darkwing Duck, Negaduck, Don Karnage, Steele in the movie "Balto", Winnie the Pooh and countless more.
This is Jymm Magon, creator and producer of Disney's "Tale Spin" and also writer for "A Goofy Movie". He was also writer and/or story editor on shows like Gummi Bears, Rescue Rangers, Good Troop and Winnie the Pooh.

This is a panel session with the voice actors:

From the left are:
Greg Weisman
Elisa Gabrielli - voice of Obsidiana and Maria Chavez
Brigitte Bako - voice of Angela
Morgan Shepherd - voice of Odin and Petros Xanatos
Keith David - voice of Goliath
Thom Adcox - voice of Lexington
Here's another shot of Morgan Shepherd, Keith David and Thom Adcox:

At each convention, they do a "radio play". This is where they take the script for an episode of Gargoyles and perform is like an old fashion radio show. Fans audition to be in it and are cast in the various parts. Plus they always throw in a couple of real voice actors to make it fun. Greg Weisman reads a narration to fill in the action you would normally be seeing. For this convention, they did the episode "The Mirror". This is the cast as the show is about to begin:

Here are a few closer shots:

The guy on the left in the red shirt is a fan, but the guy next to him is Crispin Freeman. He's a voice actor who's done tons of roles. If you watch "Ghost in the Shell", he's the voice of Togusa.

Here we have Keith David on the left, the real voice of Goliath, reading the part for Goliath in the radio play. That was pretty cool. Next to him is a fan reading the part of Elisa. Next is Thom Adcox, the real voice of Lexington, reading the part of Lexington, and on the end is another fan (who happens to be a friend of mine) reading the part for Brooklyn.
