This has got to be one of the coolest illusions I have seen im my life, it's a dragon, but when you turn different ways, it looks as if it follows you. :plot:

Here's the site:

http://www.grand-illusions.com/opticalillu...ragon_illusion/

Also on the site you can print off the paper and assemble your very own dragon! :P

hah

My friend had 4 of these sitting on his desk, he says it's kind of disturbing when your trying to sleep and all these things are staring at you. :D

he's a dragon fan if you ask, not DB unfortunatly, but a big Western dragon fan. :P

Don't worry, it does, i did it. It doesent need to be in colour for the illusion to work

Lol! My I think my dog freaked out :D It made a look like "What is this creature? Why is it staring at me? Wtf?"

Yeah, this is one of the best optical illusions I've seen. I've got the little fellow sitting here on my desk. Fun to look at when things get boring. It's a very impressive effect indeed.

awesome illusion. Too bad I think it only works on a camera.

arthur - July 13, 2006 10:11 AM (GMT)
No it doesn't. If you are close to it then look with one eye because one eye sees the illusion like it'ssupposed to be but the other one tells your brain the structure of the dragon and the illusion fails. If you are at about 2.5 metres away from it then you can use both eyes. I've noticed that my mom didn't notice the illusion for some time, maybe it's because she was looking at the structure and not at the dragon. So just look into it's eyes.

Yes, looking at it with one eye works best of all. I've found that the illusion also works pretty well looking at it with both eyes if the room lighting is dim. Sharp shadows from bright lighting gives away the way the head is folded, but dim lighting tends to hide it.

The side to side motion is cool, but I think the most impressive part of the effect is when you move up and down. Watching the little guy's head appear to crane up to look at me I just think is really something. He looks so alive!

Imagine walking in to a room with a candle in the center and hundreds of these dragons everywhere, even on thd walls :D :D :D ^_^ ^_^
