Title: The Tackiest Line You Ever Heard

IbanezJFS - May 11, 2006 08:43 PM (GMT)
OK as much as we all love DB. There is going to be atleast 1 line you are going o here that you think is EXTREMELY lame or tacky. In your own opinion. What line do you think that is??? For me it would have to be in the "Opposing Force" episodes. When Lance was reapeting what Mortis said. Something the size of his heart. There was 1 other line that was said. When Artha found that recording of the originaly DB and the recording said "Still...I am the Dragon Booster". How about the rest of you???

Salazaar - December 11, 2006 03:45 AM (GMT)
I think the one with No one Believing that Lance was telling the truth about Moordryd getting elite class gear and cheating in that dark dome thing, and he finally finds Malto and he follows him, and Kitt's like "Get back here you little drag-box dragon!!" that makes me laugh every time!!

Never fear,
Paynn is here.

From "The Pride of a Hero" is like the lamest thing I've ever heard xD

Lea - December 11, 2006 02:14 PM (GMT)
I agree, it seems a little lame and wierd for him to say that.

turkmen - December 11, 2006 05:05 PM (GMT)
Looks like he really liked playing the hero xD

The other ultra lame line from that episode was:
QUOTE
Play safe.
:D

Lea - December 11, 2006 05:42 PM (GMT)
Super Moordryd XD *Cain and shapes him like a waling stick cane* You were named after a cane and you suitable for one. *drags Moordryd off the scene with cane shaped Cain*

DemonicFury - December 12, 2006 02:35 AM (GMT)
This is fom The Defiants. I just thought it was stupid. When Artha keeps repeating "No more fighting." I can't believe they put it in there. "Never fear, Paynn is here." Was also stupid and lame. :eye:

IbanezJFS - December 12, 2006 03:13 AM (GMT)
How about "When you always mae a fist. You can never shake hands"???

Kereea - December 12, 2006 11:42 AM (GMT)
I'm with turkmen. that line was tyhe worst.
NEVER FEAR PAYYN IS HERE? What were the writers thinking? were the writers thinking?

Lea - December 12, 2006 03:52 PM (GMT)
Well there is also the age of teh viewers to thik about. The youngest is 7 years old.

turkmen - December 13, 2006 05:05 PM (GMT)
Actually I think the "Never fear, Paynn is here" line was made so lame on purpouse, to make it so funny in a dorky way, just like in "Arthe the Drac" they were making fun of Arthas "coolness".

Liliwen - December 13, 2006 10:47 PM (GMT)
I agree with Turkmen. Lame line, but I still found it rather amusing. Another line I think is tacky is when Artha says, "Hit the road." I forget which eppie, but he's said it at least twice. That line just bugs me.

turkmen - December 13, 2006 11:09 PM (GMT)
He said that in "The Stand" (after tossing Rancydd and that tatoo-eyed guy for like 10 meters high in the sky) and then later in "Three times a Hero" (again after tossing the tatoo-eyed guy). <-- I'm such a DB nerd for knowing that xD

Yep, another cheezy line, I really hate it (Artha being Mister Kulness and all ;/).

I've got another one. Maybe it's not so uber lame but it bothers me.
It's in "Into the Fire" after that incident with Pyrrah, Lance hugs Artha and cries in such a whimpy way:
"I wanna go home..."

It annoys me because compared to other episodes Lance is so out of character here! I mean it's ok for a little kid to be scared but later in the series he had much worse adventures than being kidnapped by some hotheaded psycho and he never really cried like that, not even in "Faster then Fear" or RoD . ><"
*throws a tantrum*

koering - December 14, 2006 02:18 AM (GMT)
I also agree Never fear paynn is here" is dumb. And in the episode"Pride of the hero"when moordryd made the wraith dragon appear and said "ill handle this" was pretty dopey too. :faint:

Sai - March 10, 2007 12:06 AM (GMT)
True.

dolphinliss - March 10, 2007 04:23 PM (GMT)
I agree

turkmen, you are not a nerd for knowing that. I knew that too :D

Liliwen - March 10, 2007 08:26 PM (GMT)
In the Defiants, Artha says, "9:00, party time." I felt like hitting him then. ^_^

arrow - March 11, 2007 02:41 AM (GMT)
honestly, the "realse/unleash the dragon/shadow" thing is getting kind of lame
now i'm always saying "just skip the catchphrase thing and slap the amulet in the gauntlet"
i actually said that this morning to my brother while watching battle for the ages
but when artha was all week and said that in when opposites attract, that was funny

---->

dolphinliss - March 11, 2007 04:18 AM (GMT)
the realse/unleash the dragon/shadow is getting a little old. though Moordryd hasn't said it as much so it's not too bad. It is funny when Artha is all weak when he says it in opposite attract. Once in a while he will say it with a different tone of voice. I forget what episode but he says it quickly in one episode. Why can't I remember that episode!

you got to watch battle for the ages again!

LUCKY!

where do you live, Canada?
I have to wait another 2 months before that airs for me <_<

stefer23 - March 17, 2007 01:28 AM (GMT)
I kinda liked the line :
"I'll send ya a postcard from the Academy"

"You can write?!"

It was lame when Moordryd said the postcard line thge second time.

Natalilly - March 18, 2007 11:02 AM (GMT)
Where to start, sometimes the lines make me physically cringe with horror at the bad taste.
Though sometimes I forgive things like "Never fear, Paynn is here!" and "Time to hit the road!" (though i still cringe) becasue I remember how much of a dork of myself I made when I was fifteen and trying to be clever and witty.

Tacky Line? ANYTHING said before a group laugh just before the end. GOD I hate those. It's pure, unadulterated cheese.

The Hydrag - April 2, 2007 05:04 AM (GMT)
I cringed when Moordryd said "Ill handel this" in the eppi Pride of the hero
I dont know though I kind of enjoy the last few seconds of the show when they say something stupid for a group laugh. It leaves a good feeling.

The Furox - April 2, 2007 07:24 AM (GMT)
Yeah, end gags are strange things. There's always that feeling that the end of the episode needs a coda to wrap it up, but sometimes the gags work and sometimes they feel awkward and tacky. My favorites are the ones where Beau does something funny, like at the end of "Horn of Libris" where he puts his paw in for the group handshake and knocks everyone over. :D He's so cute when he does things like that. :)

Shearkin - April 10, 2007 12:44 AM (GMT)
" when your hot your hot" now thats' lame!!!
" there's always' next year" almost every one say's it in damaged good
I kinda like the " 9:00 party time!"
thats' all I can think of but I really don't like teh first one

Da Suga Queen - April 13, 2007 04:58 AM (GMT)
I FRIGGIN HATE THE LINE "Release the human" I REALLY HATE IT!!!!!
I mean, I can deal with "Release the dragon" since it's the No.1 catch phrase, but RELEASE THE HUMAN??? Nup, hate it.
Sorry DB writers, but you really should have rethought that one.
