Since Beau is such a great character in DB, I have decided to make a topic about him so people who don't know much about him can learn a little bit.
I. Beau's Story
3000 years ago the only types of dragon around were the Gold Star Dragons. These pure dragons had the powers of Gold Draconium and were very strong. However people went and bred their pure draconium into the more unstable energies: Black, Red, Green, Blue and so forth until many types of dragons were all over. This eventually led to the horrible Dragon-Human War.
There was however, one Gold Star Dragon left in existence. This one dragon chose a DragonBooster and together they stopped the Dragon-Human War by releasing the full powers of the Dragon. Peace had been restored....for now.
Now 3000 years later, Beaucephalis has returned and chosen Artha Penn as his DragonBooster.Together they shared many adventures yet they still need to figure out how to truly Release the Dragon....will they succeed or will they fail? Only time will tell....
II. Beau's Stats
Age:16
Weight:12 tons
Length: Estimate 35ft. from nose to tail
Bone Color: Gold
Traits: Loyalty, Bravery, Courage, Strength, Determination...etc.
Description: Beau is the only gold bone dragon left in existence (with the exception of Tyrannis Pax). He possesses extrordinary powers.

III. Beau's Powers
Beau posesses many powers. They are all very interesting and cool. Here are detailed descriptions and images of these powers.
1) Mag-Burst
Beau is capable of unleashing powerful Mag-Bursts against his enemies. These Mag-Burst can cause some damage depending on how much they are charged before being released. Beau can use these to attack things or pick up people and objects.

2) Pure Gold Blast
Beau is also capable of unleashing a powerful blast of pure Gold energy. This Pure Gold blast is capable of doing major damage to whatever it hits. To use this Beau must extract Draconium energy from different colors.

3) Multi-Color Blast
This is probably Beau's most powerful attack. By extracting energy from different colors of Draconium, Beau can concentrate the energy and release it as a multicolored blast of power. This attack was used to balance out Libris.

4) Roar of Command
Beau is capable of releasing melodic, almost musical roars. These roars can be used to control other dragons or get them to stop doing things. Beau uses this power on many occasions and when he uses this roar the dragon affected by it bows to Beau.

5) Wings
Beau can also make a pair of leathery wings appear on his sides. These wings allow him to glide for long distances and give the illusion that he is flying. The wings are rounded and look like the frills on his chin and legs.

6) Human-Dragon Fusion
This one power makes Beau unique among dragons. When he activates this power he can fuse as one with his DragonBooster which gives him superhuman speed and amazing powers.

IV. Beau's Forms
Beau takes on many forms in his adventures with Artha. Here they are now.
1)Black and Gold Form
This is the form that is used when Beau is turned into the Dragon of Legend. This is the form he was born with. He uses this form all the time until he changes his colors.

2)Racing Form
This form is the one that Beau uses as a disguise to hide his true identidy. We often see this form used all the time unless he is in B+G form.

3)Wraith Form One
This is the first Wraith Form that we see Beau take. He was turned into this form by Word Paynn via disguised Wraith Gear. This form is simple: jet black all over with pupil-less neon yellow eyes.

4)Wraith Form Two
This second Wraith form is similar to the first except Beau is in B+G form when he is transformed by more powerful, ancient Wraith Gear. The coloration is dark purple/black all over.

5)Wraith Form Three
This third and final Wraith form is in my opinion, the coolest of them all. In this form Beau has neon purple markings, extra long claws and is jet black. This form appeared when Moordryd fed Beau liquid Black Draconium.

6)Human-Dragon Fusion
This form is used when Beau has to fuse as one with Artha. He uses this form against Propheci in the Lost Track of Doom episode.

7)Furox
Beau like Phorjj, was turned into the Furox but by Moordryd Paynn. This is also one of the COOLEST forms that Beau takes. Its very interesting to look at and amazing to behold. As the Furox Beau possesses incredible strength and power.

8)Half-Furox/"Super B+G Form
In this form Beau is still in B+G form except that his chin frill becomes more jagged, his claws elongate and spikes appear on his chin and replace the frills on his legs. All in all, this form is pretty cool. This form is also considered a "Furox" form which to me is cool but I refer to it as Beau's "Super" Black and Gold Form.

9) Sky-Class Beau
This is a very odd form that Beau aquires. He is somehow morphed into a Sky Class Dragon that the Dragon Wind Crew leader Chute falls head over heels for. I am not sure as to how he is morphed exactly.

10)Tainted Beau
This is the form that Beau takes before he is fully transformed by the liquid black draconium that was fed to him by Moordryd. It looks like his black and gold form only the body area is black and his markings are a rusty reddish brown.

Hey! I think this counts as a form too. You know, before Beau chose Artha, he didn't have any of the frills/skin flaps on him. But when he's in his B/G AND Dragon Booster form, he has the skin flaps/frills on his chin, back of his legs, and tail. Maybe you might want to add that too.....

I don't think thats really a form....I think that's just a technical error on the artist's part....whenever he's in B+G form any other time, he has his frills. I'm not entirely sure though....perhaps you should ask the Furox. He'd probably know.

Beau has a few other powers too. He turned invisible when stuart gave him the gear. The gear picked up the invisiblity signal (from the wraith's gear), and then beau tunned himself to that signal, and those connected to him.
In the first/second episode the frills came after beau chose artha, and he was missing his frill under his chin until he roared. I don't think that his missing fins was an animation mistake, because for one he turned gold when he chose artha, and the new finns represent a new beau, that his life has changed and now he has a dragon booster.
When Beau changed into the form he had on the episode misjudged, I don't think it was half furox, or earth class type thing. (Though he was brown coloured) I think he was another released form, instead of growing fins real fast, he grew gold spikes, and turned brown.

Earth class is already there silly! I just call him "Super Black and Gold Beau". He isn't really Earth Class at all....he doesn't even remotely resemble an earth class dragon in that form even though he is brown colored.

I was wondering; is the original Dragon of Legend's real name really Beau? :unsure:
Considering dragons can't talk to humans, how did that name come about? Was that his true dragon name (given by his parents and perhaps with an orange gear that allows him to tell his name to the humans), or just a name given by the humans to him?

According to the mythology for the show, the original Dragon Legend who ended the first war was indeed named Beau. How he got that name is not specified. One would presume that a human named him. Since dragons don't talk, you wouldn't expect dragons to pick names for themselves that they can't pronounce themselves. :D

Beau has some cognitive/communicative powers too:
1) Communications with Dragons beyond Roar of Command
Beau apparently can communicate with other dragons, maybe to an extend beyond the Roar of Command.
This seems to be illustrated in "The Stand", when Moordryd creates a dragon stampede to lure the Golden Dragon/Dragon Booster into a trap. After using a videogame projection of a large dragon to slow down the stampeding dragons, Artha mentions to Beau that he wishes he (Artha) could speak to the dragons. Then, Beau goes and makes sounds that seems like he is speaking to the dragons.
2) Some Memory of Battles from before his Existence (?)
In "Fanning the Flames", when Mortis is describing to Artha how the bonemark of the Furox has a lot of power, one is shown a scene of the original dragon booster and his dragon (in dark relief, against a background or orange/red) fighting Furox. Then, the cartoon cuts to the eyes of Beau, suggesting that those scenes involving the original dragon booster might have been recalled by Beau (or at least they were vivid to Beau when Mortis describe the Furox situation).
Later in the same episode, after Phorrj becomes subject to the Furox bone mark and is threatening the Penn racing crew, Beau comes up with the idea that he can unleash an attack that separates Phorrj from the bone mark. There is a flashback sequence by Beau again.

Yeah, I'd say so. I think he did that when he was talking to Libris. It didn't look like Beau was commanding Libris at all. From the body language and tone, it looked to me like Libris was asking Beau some questions. Also, the "Ultimate Scrapbook" says dragons can communicate and talk to each other, though we certainly don't see much evidence of this during the show (which is too bad, really).

Besides all the other abilities that was shown in this topic, I remembered one instance in which some sort of "spike" grew on the side of Beau's head in "Lost Track of Doom" (I think). What were those things? And what were they for? :unsure:

At the top of the episode, Mortis told everyone that to succeed the need to become "one with your dragon". It seems that Artha and Beau took that advice rather literally. Their bodies merged and Beau grew this big fancy crest. I think Beau was supposed to be absorbing all the gold draconium in the DB suit into his body, making him all the more powerful.

Well, it's almost done. I think one of the traits not highlighted above is Beau's intelligence. On the Canadian Dragon Booster website, the attributes of Beau are listed as: "Intelligence, balance and speed."

For example, Beau knows the black draconium gear (disguised as green) that is placed on him in "The Stand", when Word is his unidentified sponsor, is not good. He refuses to use it initially when Artha puts it on him.
Another example is the "All Is Not Lost". When Beau is captured by the Muhorta and Stewardd has transformed Artha's lance into something different, somebody says that Beau is tuning in to the wavelengths of the wraith dragons and that is how the Muhorta is unable to detect Beau and Artha at some point. Although the idea of tuning into the wavelength of the wraiths was a human idea (Stewardd/Penn racing members), there is at least the indication that Beau was doing something to adjust his gold draconium in a helpful way.
Also, you said: "Beau is the only gold bone dragon left in existence (with the exception of Tyrannis Pax)." I don't know if the Canadian website is correct, but Tyrranis Pax is listed as a dragon with Blue bone color. Note also that gold dragons can be bred, like Connor did. So even if there are none in existence except for Beau, that does not mean that others could not be bred.
