GREAT SHOW!! too bad that I don't remember it that much......

Gargoyles is still on late on Toon Disney (at least in the US), but you'd either have to tape it or stay up late to see it, since they keep moving around the times. I'm rewatching the series again, and it's proving to be a challenge to keep up with the times.

Too bad that they aren't anymore in Mexico... I would love to watch the series again!

*Sigh* I remember being in year one and sprinting home from school so I wouldn't miss Beast Wars. (Then my parents used to yell at me for not doing my homework and tell me I couldn't watch it...oh boy, did I chuck a tantrum then...)

Gargoyles was one of my favorites as well. The first two seasons are out on DVD, and I imagine the rest will follow.
Speaking of Gargoyles, anyone else ever go to one of the fan conventions? I went to one of them several years ago in Los Angeles. The convention is back in LA again this year (actually, it's in Valencia which is just north of LA) and I'm thinking about going again. It's at the end of June.
I loved Swat Kats as well. I really wish that was on DVD. Fortunately, I taped all the episodes, but I'd still rather have the better picture quality of DVD.
Batman Beyond was another good action adventure with a sci-fi element. I highly recommend the direct video movie they did called The Return of the Joker.
For comedies, I liked Animaniacs. Road Rovers was kind of fun at times, too.
The first season of Ewoks was good. I also liked Disney's Tale Spin.
A more obscure and underrated show was Mighty Max. It was an action adventure, but only lasted one season.
Scooby Doo has had a lot of ups and downs over the years. I think the really old ones from the first two seasons were the best. The pacing was rather slow, but I liked the mood of those old ones (and no Scrappy Doo ;))

All i remember is jhony quest, not the old one the 3d virtual reality one, and captain planet
The Furox - April 22, 2006 06:09 AM (GMT)
Jonny Quest was good, though I prefer the old ones from the 60's. It's true the animation was really limited and sometimes the pacing was a bit slow, but I liked the stories better than the ones they made in the 90's. I think they got too carried with the whole virtual reality thing and they tried to substitute the CGI eye candy in place of a good story.
I've always wondered if anyone would ever make a live action Jonny Quest movie. Of course, a lot of the movies they try to make from classic TV shows tend to do poorly in the theaters, but I think Jonny Quest would have potential if they did a serious Indiana Jones or James Bond style script and didn't just try to pander to kids. I think that could be fun.
