Care to tell me how yours qualifies?
Khatah - March 28, 2006 05:15 AM (GMT)
I though that you could just submit a piece of fan art related to Db
LightningFlash - March 28, 2006 05:52 AM (GMT)
It's an anniversary competition, and there're already three categories, so there's got to be some type of challenge to it. :P
SilverDragon - March 28, 2006 06:02 AM (GMT)
Here's my entry.
I think it would be under the Misc Category.
Happy Anniversary Message Board!(Note: watch it for a while. It isn't just a candle ;) )

Ok, competition will close a week from tomorrow... I'm TRYING to get my entry done, but it's probably one of the most detailed photo-edits I've ever done... @_@ I'll really try to get it done, but, like I said, I may not get it done in time. *cries*
The Furox - April 24, 2006 07:35 AM (GMT)
Here's my entry. It's a short QuickTime movie to commemorate the 1 year anniversary (requires QuickTime 7; download it from
quicktime.apple.com if you need it). I included a hi and low res version in case people on dial-up want to save some time. Both versions are the same, just different resolutions. Be sure your speakers are connected. :)

 awesoooome! what a great opening for the anniversary, kinda forgot where that was from (the first trailer or the second?) great shots of the forum Furox! I think there might be a winner here! hehehe XP
Khatah - April 25, 2006 03:04 AM (GMT)
Mine is finally done its the second post
SilverDragon - April 25, 2006 05:37 AM (GMT)
Um, Furox? I'm only getting a white screen. I have Quicktime 7 (A pop up occurs at the last page of the rpocees asking me to download iTunes, but I don't need that), but it says that the required information is not available on the server.
The Furox - April 25, 2006 06:46 AM (GMT)
Well, let's see... Did you exit and restart your browser after you downloaded QuickTime? If that doesn't solve it, then try rebooting your computer. If that doesn't work, then manually launch the QuickTime program, and in the File menu choose "Open URL" and paste in this URL to the movie:
| CODE |
One of those three things should work. ;)

The audio is mostly from the first, shorter trailer. But I edited in some sound from the other one as well to get rid of the "Coming to Jetix. Go to dragonbooster.com" narration at the end.

Thanks, MinervaRahn! I'm glad you like it. And thanks dRagOniDe, too! It was a fun little thing to put together.
SilverDragon - April 25, 2006 08:46 AM (GMT)
Nope. Still nothing.
The messsage is: "Quicktime doesn't have the neccessary equipement required for this operation. Unfortunatly, it is not available on the Quicktime server"
The Furox - April 25, 2006 07:09 PM (GMT)
Hmm, I wish the message it gave was more specific about what's missing. Maybe it can't find the codec it needs for the movie. I've tested it myself on both Windows and Mac OS with Internet Explorer, Mozilla and Safari, and it works with all those. Are you able to play any QuickTime movies? (There are bunch you can try at
www.apple.com/trailers.)
The only thing I can think to suggest is to uninstall QuickTime and then re-install it. If it still doesn't work, try watching them on a friend's computer and see if that works any better.
Hunter - April 25, 2006 09:06 PM (GMT)
Same. I can see all kinds of movies, but not the ones you made Furox. I only get a white screen, same as SilverDragon.
The Furox - April 25, 2006 09:52 PM (GMT)
If you're just getting a white screen with no error messages, then that's just Internet Explorer downloading the file before it plays it. If you're on dial-up it will take a while (like 10-15 minutes).
To try and help, I set up a web page with an embedded movie that may work better. At least you'll be able to see the progress bar to know if it's downloading or not:
Click here to try the web page version. If that still doesn't work, the only other thing I can think of is to try downloading the file to the desktop first and then playing it. Just go back to my posting above and right-click on the link for the movie, and then select "Save Target As..." in the menu and save it to your desktop. When it's done, go there and double-click the file.
Mari - April 29, 2006 01:18 AM (GMT)
I FINALLY got it done. Sure, It doesn't have ALL the chars like I origionally intended, but whatever. Also, you have no idea how many screens this took to make.... @_@ The cake is actually a trash can from
THIS PIC that I re-colored and re-shaped a little. The candle is actually a mag staff on the right side from
THIS PIC. The fire is from
THIS PIC.
The whole thing is done through photo-editing, no hand-drawing whatsoever. Beau actually took 7 pics to make. The stable took 2 and ALOT of re-coloring. The cake-1, the candle-1, the fire-1, the table-3, and I just used text for the text. Not impressive, I know, but it sure took forever to make....
Anyways, enough about my whining about the time this took. Here's the pic:
