Title: Judy (Jordan) Panico
Description: In loving memory

epistula - July 14, 2008 11:29 PM (GMT)
I've run into a couple of people who knew Judy years ago and even recently who didn't know about her passing.
I thought I would pass along the news.

I remember Judy Jordan from Lenox. If I am not mistaken, she was going with Dick Andrews, the pilot, at one time. I never knew her husband and I don't remember her in Baltimore. How did she die? Was she ill?

Guest - July 15, 2008 06:30 PM (GMT)
Judy and her husband left Greater Grace several years ago. That would explain why there was a wake instead of a face to face service, and why it was held somewhere besides at Greater Grace. Many people from Greater Grace showed up at the wake. Tried to turn it into a typical Greater Grace rap session. And the following discussion was overheard:

Don Soprano said, “all these people are now in heaven. I bet pastor is organizing bible studies and raps and getting people together”

A brilliant woman put him in his place and said, “he most certainly is not doing that in heaven” Got right in his face and told him, “don’t you even try to go there with me”

To which he replied, “You don’t think pastor is doing that?”

So... even after they leave Greater Grace, these people still worship Carl Stevens so much that they try and teach that in heaven - IN HEAVEN! - it's Carl Stevens leading Bible studies. Not Jesus - Saint Carl.

I told this story to a friend of mine. He doesn't claim to be a Christian. Yet as soon as he heard it, he said, "I thought in heaven, they don't even need the Bible, because it's all fulfilled, they have Jesus there and everything?"

I am sad about that because I personally know Don and I would not have ever thought that he would be of that mindset.

Live and learn I guess.

So sad that the idol worship is so extremely prevalent.

What's going to be said next?
Carl is teaching Christ about salvation or correcting Him in dictrine?

Don, if you read here at all
WAKE THE HELL UP!!!

I think that if Carl Stevens made it to heaven, he is most likely on his face before God, thankful that despite everything, God in His mercy saved him

sidethorn - July 15, 2008 07:41 PM (GMT)
And sadly Carl in that case would have to see most of his works burned up as wood, hay, and stubble. So much of what Carl did was not of God but for himself!

Jaded2,

I hope that you are not confused about the mercy of God. We will all be on our faces before God because of mercy and His great love toward us. I would be afraid for those that would think otherwise. Sober up!

sidethorn,

Because of how you have judged this man the love of God is not in you. You can't say you love God and hate this man the way you do. The record you have given on this site confirms it and you can not deny it. You will be judged as you have judged. Those that judge without mercy will be judged without mercy. If I were you, I would be more concerned whether or not my name was written in the book of life.

Guest, you are a complete idiot.
Do you in all honesty actually think that rebuking abuse/spiritual manipulation/deceptive practices is evil?
Your premise is that no one has the right to protect other members of our Lord's body and there is no denying it because you have shown that to be your purpose in all your postings here.

You have continually used scare tactics (God will get you) on people here in an effort to frighten them off of exposing the wicked things that have been done to them and others in and out of GGWO by the former and present leadership.

Maybe you should question whether your name is written in the book of life seeing that you have no love to protect the body of Christ but instead defend the lies and multitude of deceptions.

Your tactics are ungodly.

Guest 300:

Go ahead and just tell me flat out that I'm going to hell if you want to. You're vain babblings have nothing to do with God's truth or reality whatsoever. Just because I called Carl a liar and a jerk and some other things on the Internet and by word of mouth does NOT mean that I hate him. I do not hate Carl. I've repeatedly prayed for him and the other leaders at GGWO and still do. What I do hate is their dead, idolatrous, man made religeon. I hate their slander. I hate their greed and lust for power. I hate the cover ups along with the false doctrines used to coerce others to get involved in that. I hate the manipulation, abuses, and outright brainwashing. I hate the us versus them, elitist mentality of these men and I hate the bullshit that you repeatedly put up on this site Guest 300! I will continue to expose wolves in sheeps' clothing and those who defend them and reserve the right to use some names in that effort to expose the seriousness of their harmful attitudes.

I rejoice that you are not my judge 300 and have no say about my future. The work that God already did in my heart is what's preventing me from hating people like Carl. I really don't care if you believe that or not 300 except for how that will impact your own future. The risen Christ is the One that I worship, not some selfish, power hungry idol standing behind a pulpit. I know you don't want to believe this, but exposing cult leaders passing themselves off as pastors is not hate, its love. Its love for the rest of the body of Christ which you have shown very little of yourself. Maybe you need to look yourself in the mirror and ask yourself if you would rather have more of God's approval or your pastor's.

This is same tactic that many in GGWO, pastors and defenders alike, have used to scare people into silence about the abuses at GGWO. It ain't working. People are still talking, posting and sharing their accounts. The people are not getting cancer, or getting into accidents, or getting divinely put to death. Nothing is happening to those who expose GGWO except for blessing and rewards instead. These threats from Guest 300 and others in GGWO are empty and not worthy of consideration. The sleezeballs running GGWO just want to cover their back sides and sin!

Sidethorne, you have been through a lot, esp with Love, and you've come through the other side. A lot of your posts have been really good. But it may be time to move on. Guest300 feeds off of you and knows how to giet you going. He loves it when he can bait you. Could we just move on? No offense intended.

Okay, so this is about Judy Panico. A lot of you didn't know her because she wasn't one of the stars of the show. But if you knew her, you'd miss her now. She was quiet but made you feel like a million dollars if she was around you. Maybe you had seen her in months, but when she saw you and talked to you, it was like she was there for you. She never stuffed doctrine down your throat or gave the party line about "outreach." She was always real and unassuming.

She was one of the few that after graduating from Bible College had enough guts to go back to college and get a degree and get a profession despite what "the pulpit' said. She still stayed in GGWO.

She had enough gutz not to marry a guy from GGWO and have two kids who are doing great.

See you in Heaven, Judy.

God, be with Judy's family and comfort them. Meet their needs. Give them the support they need. Amen.

New Kid - July 16, 2008 03:53 AM (GMT)
I remember Judy's sweet smile...I am sorry for her family's loss...I remember Russ too... As someone said already...they were the real deal.

God is quite capable of protecting those that are His, but concerning you I have no idea. You have framed your own life as you see fit. That may be to your own edification but to the glory of God I think not.

It was Don Soprano. The Sopranos no longer attend Greater Grace. But based on such an asinine statement about Carl Stevens teaching Bible studies in heaven, he appears to be one of the many who left mainly because he didn't like Tom Schaller, and was still ready to sit at his apostle's feet.

I did some checking and yes it was Don Soprano. And not only did he say that but he mentioned the same thing at the funeral except with Judy as the organizer of bible studies and raps in heaven. Nonsense.

Some who left the "plaza" only left because their "pastor for life" was no longer pastoring. They still uphold Pastah as their shepherd, to which Don Soprano also mentioned at the ceremony (learning about the word of God under the guidance of his shepherd) either because Barbara Baum Stevens was there or because he really believes it. In any case, if he doesn't believe it, he shouldn't have said it.

By the way, Schaller was also present at this funeral. I'd like to know why.

When we get to heaven (only through John 3:16) we will ALL be flat on our faces before Jesus, thanking Him alone. NO private rap sessions with Carl or any one else. Who would ever want to hear any self appointed leader with power lust run their mouths?

Remember when he taught there would be a special group of people who would be in a special garden eating from the tree of life, having rap sessions with Jesus-- and only greater grace believers could get in. (Carl emphasized it was not the organization of Greater Grace -- but those who have grabbed a hold of grace. But I think Carl believed the majority of these rap sessions would be BS/GGWO/Plaza people.)

Been There - July 16, 2008 10:58 PM (GMT)
Don said something similiar at the Memorial Service held by the local family of CHS. Lots of old friends in different places, some still obviously quite sentimental (and in denial) about CHS. The one who spoke plainly and truthfully about our shared experience with CHS and GG was his son, Paul. Quite ironic that Paul openly shares the devastation of TBS/GGWO.

Been There - July 16, 2008 11:01 PM (GMT)
Didn't mean to get off topic on this thread for Judy. She was a wonderful person, friend, nurse and mother. She experienced her own heartache in leaving GG and her care for CHS's addictions. My prayers are with her family.

epistula - July 17, 2008 04:06 PM (GMT)
I don't think Judy would mind information coming out about Don Soprano or anyone either in or recently out of GG who has an unhealthy view of Christianity. She put up with a lot of GG crap and while she loved everybody, she had her definate opinions of how wrong things were/are.

Sorry to hear about Judy. I remember meeting her and Russ at the YMCU. Church was pretty real then, in a rented space in a broken down building with antique folding chairs, a crappy PA speaker, and no AC. Before the dawn of Stevens in my life. Russ and Judy were pretty normal compared to the rest of us...
