I must say, I have been reading, and reading, and reading some more on this site after stumbling upon it while doing research on LGM as a possible new church for myself and my family to attend here in Tacoma.
Thankfully, I have learned about a lot of things that won't acutally require me to experience before I know the truth like most of you have. I thank you for your wonderful insite and honesty.
However (some of you won't like this), I am bothered by the lack of focus that has taken place on these boards. It has become a bashing and hashing ground for you all against this ministry. I understand how if feels to be betrayed, lied to and hurt by a church or ministry; and make no mistake, I am in no way condoning or defending a ministry that would operate this way, but it seems as though folks have lost perhaps the true reason for this forum; for Christians to be able to share what happened to them as a warning for others (like myself) and move on with your lives!
God tells us to forgive one another. This is really tough in these circumstances, and may not come about right away, understandably. God also tells us it is not our place to judge lest we be judged. That is particularly hard when someone has been affected this deeply, but we are commanded in the Bible to..."forgive even as Christ has forgiven us."
We are also to love one another. Many of you on here have turned against each other because of the emotions that are behind your words. Has anyone been able to acutally move on and perhaps find another place of worship and been able to put this behind them? Or do you all thrive on the back-and-forth comments and hashing you are able to do nonstop on here?
Yes, most of you will send me lovely messages because you now feel as though you are being "preached" to and perhaps judged by me....I read the words, there is no judgement necessary.
Again, I have to thank those of you for the informative marks regarding this church and the ministry, and the history behind it, but is God happy that you are rehashing this over and over and over again? It doesn't need to be someone's life work to expose this ministry for what it is. That is God's job when the end comes. "For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God." Be sure he will not forget the corruption and misrepresentation, selfishness, and greed commited by these folks in this ministry.
Focus on your relationship with him and pray fervently for him to allow you forgiveness in your heart and the ability to move on. He will answer you and give you that peace you need.
Now, I welcome the responses; however, I can't guarantee that they will be answered as my life does not revolve around my computer or a chat forum (no offense) :)
