TO: IAGM members

FROM: IAGM Board of Representatives

Dear Friend,

On behalf of the Board of Representatives for IAGM, I want to take the time to thank you for being a part of our association and tell you of some exciting news from this yearıs conference. I can truly say from my experience that the fellowship was a precious reminder of the life we all share in Christ. The messages were encouraging and refreshing. We thank all our speakers for participating in this great event.

A special thanks goes out to Dr. Ron Long and Dr. Robert Williams of LRU, and Stuart McAllister of RZIM for their enormous part in the success of this event. Lastly, to the pastors, members, staff and trustees of Grace Gospel Church in Swansea THANK YOU. You opened your heart and provided a refuge. Your pastorıs message reflected so clearly the heartbeat of your church, and you have inspired us all in this great work of proclaiming the message of Godıs unlimited grace.

I also wanted to take the time to introduce to you the new administrator for IAGM, Dr. Daniel Lewis. He comes to us as a gift with his credentials of care, management and investment well known. He is also a prolific communicator, an asset treasured at this time. With all this said, I would also like especially thank Dr. Ken Dietrich for his tireless efforts and commitment to IAGM over the last two years. His expertise got us to this point and we are grateful.

At our meeting at the conference, we discussed the issue of funding for Dr. Lewis in his new position as administrator. The idea was raised by Pastor Kelley of adding a small fee onto the missionıs revenue to help offset the admin costs. This fee would go to Dr. Lewis in the form of salary and also help defray the costs of phone, office supplies and other relevant expenses necessary for him to fulfill his role as administrator. As you know for missionıs giving in other organizations, this is a common practice.

The amount we proposed was 5%. We would also write a letter to the donors introducing Dr. Lewis as the new administrator and informing them of this fee. The goal will be to ask the donors to consider adding the 5% to their missionıs giving. We would also communicate this decision the missionaries and ask them to inform us of any hardship or concern produced by it. Our goal will be to communicate to member churches to help in the event of any hardship placed on anyone. We understand that this fee may be a particular challenge to some. Again, we ask that you communicate any hardship caused by this to Dr. Lewis or myself.

Please note that this fee will not begin until January 08. This will allow missionaries who do not wish to participate to arrange other means for transferring funds to their accounts. This delay also produces the situation where support of Dr. Lewis at present is strictly dependent upon donor kindness. Please consider this in your prayers and love offerings for missions.

The conference messages have been posted on our churchıs website lgministries.org. Also, MP3 copies have been sent to all the attendees. My hope is that you take time to listen to these heart stirring messages if you werenıt able to attend.

In His care,

Tom Powell
Chairman
Board of Representatives
International Association of Grace Ministries

PS I want to remind you of two important times coming up in the next few months:

The Canadian Conference October 19-21, 2007

The 1st South/Central American Conference January 17-21, 2008

Please pray for these events, we hope to see you there.

I told someone last night that my average is better than Nostradamus. Maybe I could take the act to Vegas...if the entire thing wasn't so sickening.

Didn't IAGM say that former Baltimore elders wouldn't be in positions of authority for three years?

I nominate Frank Zappa for an IAGM position!

Pancakes, anyone? ;)

Much respect to Frank, St. Alphonso ("as she abused a sausage patty..."), there is only ONE man capable of leading the IAGM. His name?

Simply, LEMMY:

You know, I've been thinking...

...if tithing is giving 10% to God (so to speak) and Lewis expects 5% from the IAGM missionaries (of all people), does that make Lewis a demi-GOD or a demi-GOGUE?

Guest - July 31, 2007 02:44 AM (GMT)
It makes him a thief of little children.

Greg Warren - August 1, 2007 10:00 PM (GMT)
Gary Smith hasn't served on the board of Elders for more than one year?

Ken Dietrich Stepped down in December/January so although there is a thankfulness in him departing he has been gone for quite a while. He has not been involved to my knowledge at all.

Lewis has been functioning to some extent since then.
(Officially in May I believe but still starting back in Jan)

The two year agreement was how some people interpreted the agreement at Sandy Cove II (June 2005) I remember three years but when I came to Tacoma it was two. I can easily be wrong. Many decisions that were made were not actually voted on they were discussed and a "consensus" was determined. This is also why Schaller so adamantly says things like "That was not agreed upon". In a way he is right. (however in most matters the sheer numbers show he was in the minority on most of the Sandy Cove issues). That is how many things were decided. We had no formal organization so there technically could not be formal voting. I am pretty sure there is no record of voting on how many years people would have to wait. Apparently some thought it was two years.. since its only been two years. Either way.. its pretty liberal math if you start back in January 07. I know Michael Marr mas pretty very upset about the whole thing since he wanted to serve on the Doctrine Committee.

Ken Dietrich felt that two years were completed for him to serve as Administrator in Jan 2007( he promised to serve two years) since the whole process began in Jan 2005 regardless of the fact the the IAGM did not take shape until May 2005 and was actually ratified by those in attendance in June 2005. So in some peoples minds January 07 is two years since January 05 and they feel that is when this all started.

Thats how I see it and how I remember it.

Greg

Marr wanted to serve on the Doctrines Committee. That's really rich considering that he is a Universalist. He told me at the last Sandy Cove meeting. He said he's been feeling this way for ten years and didn't care who knew it. It means he believe that he doesn't believe, "That a loving Saviour would let anyone go to Hell." You know, in that "I'm more compassionate than you are" voice.

Does anyone know what Rodger Stenger is doing? Last I heard, he had gone back to seminary and was attending Calvary Chapel in Bel Air, but that was about a year ago. I often wonder what GG would be like today if he was head pastor as he should have been.

Guest - August 3, 2007 01:45 AM (GMT)
Even if Rodger had been the head of GG, what real difference would that have made? Now I see it as a blessing that he wasn't. It revealed for me finally how bad GG was. He probably sees it as a blessing that he wasn't.

Guest - August 3, 2007 02:02 AM (GMT)
This is not new with IAGM--this is what they wanted from the very beginning--the same old boy network, but the leaders who lost in GG get to be in charge in GG II Some pastors saw this from the very beginning and got out early.

Rodger Stenger does not attend Calvary Chapel. He is in Seminary and is a wonderful man of God and friend to 100's of folks, no matter where they may be today. I count Rodger as one of my best friends and he has been a tremendous encouragement in my own journey of faith into the Catholic Church.

Regarding Life Community Church (formerly GG Newark) and two of Jeff Wisot's (yes, PASTOR Wisot that recently spoke at the IAGM convention) finest disciples:

Three down. How many to go?

Guest - August 9, 2007 03:55 PM (GMT)
Last I heard, Rodger Stenger is still very much a part of IAGM.

A few interesting tidbits:

I understand [former] pastor Robinson was a speaker at Love's daughter's wedding last weekend. He is no longer a pastor but is working in law enforcement in the Florida area. I wonder if he was able to attend a service while visiting.

I realize this is from last year, but I am just seeing it, so maybe others would like to as well. This is an article on the success of the Florida school Dan and Sylvia Baker run, in which she refers to their background in GGWO as "a stint at a private institution in Maryland." Gotta love it!

Does anyone know if Steve and Rita Taylor are still "in"?

Also, the Estabrooks?

Guest 7 - August 11, 2007 02:53 AM (GMT)
Steve Talyor is so in ggwo--well, never mind. He divorced Rita. She's very out.

Last I knew Estabrook was playing both sides, but that's old news.

Robinson in law enforcement--that's rich...speaking at a wedding? Oh, never mind.

Guest - August 13, 2007 05:11 PM (GMT)
Thanks - I had not heard about Steve and Rita divorcing.

I wonder how many couples this "family oriented" ministry has played a part in dividing, just in the past few years.

Some of those speakers' theme was:

How to make a living off of missionaries

How to get away with adultery

How to keep the ol' boy GGWO after leaving it

...pathetic

where is my barf bag?

Still calling him Doctor? Calling him a treasured asset?
Treacherous ass is more like it.

Prolific communicator? I've rarely seen someone so put off by people. It's almost like it was a chore for him to listen to you.

Guest - August 17, 2007 01:06 PM (GMT)
He's their Dr Stevens substitute--it's all that's missing from IAGM to make it GGWO.

Reader - August 17, 2007 05:43 PM (GMT)
I can see Dean in Powell's office now, crying and begging for a job. Just like when he came back to Lenox in '83 after his flop in Kisseme.

Dean Lewis' job in Baltimore was acting as Junior's hatchet man, bullying members while the great OZ remained behind the curtain. He can't teach, he is not qualified to do any kind of marital/career/psychological counseling, and if you don't do what he asks smoke starts coming out of his ears. If Junior was in good health you'd better believe Dean would still be his lap dog. The fact that IAGM gave him a job and such a glowing endorsement speaks very loudly about where they are at.

It really burns me that the truly spiritual people who quit years ago and told it like it was about GG/TBS have to bust their ass in nowhere jobs while these imposters continue to live off the gravy train while crowing about their self-professed spirituality and achievements in spreading the gospel.

What's next, putting Junior Stevens on the payroll as a consultant?

"He that is unjust, let him be unjust still..."

Guest - August 18, 2007 01:46 AM (GMT)
That's exactly what he did. How did you know? The sad thing is that so many of iagm bought it.

guest2 - August 18, 2007 02:37 AM (GMT)
Should IAGM have to file IRS form 990 as a non profit non church just like mbcs does?

guest2 - August 18, 2007 02:39 AM (GMT)
That would show who gets paid what.

Reader - August 19, 2007 03:47 PM (GMT)
Wayne Hogarth has resigned as pastor from Word of Grace in West Springfield.

"I'm just a regular Joe now..."

Guest - August 19, 2007 04:44 PM (GMT)
He always was nothing but a regular Joe like the rest of us.
He's finally caught up.
Sad part is for the pastors in ggwo,
when they come out
they get quite a shock
when they come off their pedastool pulpits
whether knocked down
or on their own accord

Stevens made them think that they were something more than human
it takes a while for them to come down to reality
and when they do
it's such a thump
an anti-climax
no parades
no ten-minute ovation

but after a while
longer for some
shorter for a few
they realize
that reality isn't so bad
it's sure footing

Guest 101 - August 20, 2007 02:54 AM (GMT)
I applaud Wayne for leaving a cushing job and be willing to go out and start all over at middle age. There's other pastors who have done the same. It's not easy for them and they get little support. More pastors who left GGWO should follow this example. I think that more will.

I agree, I have more respect for him for this. However, it's too bad that it took 2 years from the "exodus" for him to do it. That means 2 more years that his congregation had to go through GGWO residual teaching and subtle indoctrination. Now that he has stepped down, maybe he can go "de-toxifiy" from all he learned from CHS over the last 30 years.

Guest 3 - August 20, 2007 09:04 PM (GMT)
I heard from someone in the church that Hogarth was asked to resign because he wasn't doing anything.

Guest - August 21, 2007 12:15 AM (GMT)
I find that hard to believe.

Guest - August 22, 2007 12:36 AM (GMT)
The problem is that even if Hogarth leaves and does get some "detox", the flock will get handed off to some other GGWO/IAGM automaton.

ericlaw - August 22, 2007 03:43 PM (GMT)
yeah, probably so.
