Aj walked over to the shore of the digital ocean and looked out over it,thoughts rushing through his mind.Why was it that he was caught in the middle of the things he knew,and the things that others knew of him?He was supposed to be a light tamer,a defender of truth in the digital world,yet he had sent most of his time tormenting it and trying to destroy it,was there any way for this to be explained to him.

Labramon,Piyomon,and Armadilmon trusted him with their lives,as he did with them..but he was unsure whether or not to trust this feeling inside himself,the feeling of wanting to know more,to find the truth,if there was any to find..

At that moment,Labramon and his other partners were sitting over in the shade,while they watched their tamer from that distance."Hmm,I reckon one of us oughtta go talk to him..",Armadilmon said as he looked at his fellow digimon with a calm expression.Labramon looked at the digimon and shook his head,"he'll be ok Armadilmon,he just needs some time to think,thats all..",the dog digimon stated as he once again leaned back against a tree,just as Piyomon did...

A strong, frigid gale blew past Aj and his partners, a gale not typical of such an environment.

"Hello, friend!" A jolly, but dignified voice spoke up from just inches from the Tamer's right ear. "I see you're having problems. Anything I may be able to help with?" The mysterious speaker of these kind words had, to put it both bluntly and literally, appeared from nowhere.

His garb was nearly all white, and all one piece. Several pieces of teal and of course his brown boots and gloves stood out from the rest of his clothing, but he would have otherwise been able to blend in with pure snowfall. Golden locks peaked out from underneath the wide, round brim of his pointed hat; his face concealed by the cowl of his tattered, flowing cloak. In his hand, he held a long staff, the end of which was topped by an ornate crystal snowflake.

Aj heard the voice and quickly turned to face the strange man at his right side.This person,look like something he would see in chapel,his white clothes and golden locks seemed unfamilar to this world.His face concealed,just like Aj's,it was hard to see if he had any facial features at all.As Aj scanned the stranger over,Labramon and the others had made their way behind Aj and looked at the stranger with blank expressions.

After a silence that seemed almost endless,Aj spoke in a dark and serious tone,"who the hell are you?",he stated as he looked at him from his black cloak.

"Oh, I'm simply a traveller." The Sorcerymon replied calmly. Another frigid gust, and the mage digimon had suddenly appeared at Labramon's side. Smiling, the strange man bent down, and scratched the dog behind the ear.

"Of course, if it's my name you want..." The Ice Sorceror began, standing staright up, and gazing at the ocean sky. "...or a fight..." He continued, turning his gaze once more to the Tamer. "Then, I'm afraid I'll be of no service to you."

Labramon looked up at the digimon and grinned as he was scratched behind the ear."Hey Aj,I think this guy is a friend,he doesn't smell dangerous..",the dog said as he looked at Aj and then back up at the Ice Sorcerymon.Armadilmon and Piyomon seemed to have relaxed as well,it looked as if this strange digimon,indeed had come to help,not to fight..

Aj,now starting to realize this as well,relaxed alittle,but continued to have his guard up."So..you think you can help me,how is that possible,what can you do that I can not do myself?",he said as he looked at the digimon with a serious glance.

Another gust, and Sorcerymon stood at Aj's side once more.

"You speak the truth, friend. Alone, I can do nothing to help you." The wise digimon smirked, circling around the young, shadowy tamer. "And, as you said, you can do nothing alone. But, together...!" Sorcerymon said sharply, turning to face Aj. "Together, we may be able to make somewhat of a...difference with your memory problem." He tapped the end of his long, pale wand on the ground, the crystalline snowflake glowing ever so faintly. "If you'll allow it, of course."

Standing in place, he turned his head towards Labramon. "You...you've known him the longest, correct? Your services shall be required as well."

Labramon nodded as he looked at the wizard,"ok,I'll do what I can..",the dog digimon said as he looked at Aj.Armadilmon blinked as he looked at the Sorcerymon,"so,what do yall plan to do to help Aj?",the digimon asked as he looked up at the wizard as Piyomon nodded in agreement to his question."Yes,I hope that it won't hurt Aj..",the pink bird said as she looked at the white cloaked digimon.

Aj continued to look at the digimon and frowned as he heard what he said."And if I don't....?"

"If you do not allow me to help you, then how can you help yourself?" Was Sorcerymon's reply. "It is but a simple task, an illusion of your past." The icy sage explained. "However, it will only work if you allow it to. You, young tamer, must recite everything that has happened in your life, beginning with today, and working your way backwards to your childhood." He turned his head, and spoke to Labramon. "And you, friend, are responsible for guiding him should his memory fail, by refreshing his past with your own."

He turned back to Aj, gaze more serious than it had been. "Now, there is no guarantee that I help you recall everything. The illusion will end on one of three conditions: If all your memories have been recovered; If neither you nor your friend are able, or willing, to remember your past; If my power fades to the point where I can no longer sustain the illusion. Do you understand? Do you wish to allow me to help you?"

Aj looked at the wizard and then at Labramon,he was unsure about this plan,what if he remembered something that he would regret?There were so many things about him that he did not know,and now he had the chance to learn about them,and maybe once and for all gain everything that he had lost.

Labramon looked at Aj,"I know it will be hard,but..its worth a try right?",the digimon said as he smiled at Aj.All his other partners nodded in agreement.

Aj continued to look at the Labramon with a serious expression on his eyes,since the yellow glow was all they could see of his face,hidden in the darkness of his hood."Fine..I'll do it.."

Sorcerymon nodded, his staff glowing brightly. An arctic wind howled across the shore, and the illusion began. Outward from the staff expanded a sphere that was a paradox of icy sheen and inky blackness, a deep shadow reflecting a vibrant light. The orb expanded around Sorcerymon, Aj, and Labramon, sending them to a seemingly infinite void, filled with many points of light amid the shadow.

"This place represents the realm of your memories. Now, to begin, you should recall everything that has happened today. Think these thoughts loudly, and they will appear on this canvas. When you have finished with today, continue to yesterday, and the day before that." The ice sage explained. "Oh, and it helps to speak your thoughts aloud, I believe."

Aj smirked as he heard the digimon speak and looked at Labramon."Well,lets get this over with,today..we happened to have woken up at the apartment complex over in the digital city..",Aj said as he looked around.


As he said this,the image of his room,himself,and his partners appeared infront of him.Aj jumped back in amazment,the wizard was right,he was truly reliving his memories.Labramon continued for him,"then,Armadilmon woke us up saying that the early bird gets the worm and that we should go have breakfast..",the digimon said as he watched the event take place in front of him.

Watching the scene unfold. Sorcerymon couldn't help but be amused. "Is that what you always look like when you've just woken up? No matter. After that, I presume you had your meal, and then came to this shoreline, where we met? If so, you may skip that part, and move onwards to yesterday." he commented with delight, looking forward to seeing things he did not know.

Aj frowned as he heard the digimon's joke and then went on to what happened yesterday.

"That was when we battle against Vamdemon,that digimon was a pure monster,actually invading the chapel like that..but,it seemed as if he was waiting for us..for some reason..",Aj said as he watched the battle take place between the vampire and Seasarmon,Anyklomon,and Piyomon.

"Yea,but we were able to beat him,when I was able to digi-volve into Cerberumon,with your help Aj..",Labramon said as he looked at his tamer and grinned at him.Aj looked at the digimon and nodded as he continued to watch."There something else about that place,I remember I met someone there...his name was Victor..."

"A Vamdemon you say? Truly dreadful, but it seems as though you're better for facing him." Sorcerymon commented. "Now, Victor you said? Anything else you can remember about him?" The Ice Sorceror deliberately tried to lead Aj's memory down that path diverging from the main timeline he had prescribed, sensing it would help the youth on his road of rediscovery.

Aj thought about this as he crossed his arms."I can't anything else,except that he and I made an agreement about something..something important..arg,why can't I remeber what that is?",he asked himself as he stood there.

"I wish I could help you Aj,but during that time you were talking to Victor,you told me to wait outside..",Labramon said as he looked at his tamer with a sad expression on his face.

I knew it! Sorcerymon thought, hearing Labramon's comment.

"Now, friend, since you seem to know something about this...'Victor'..." He said excitedly, anxious to view more of the past's likely vibrant past. "Why don't you tell him everything you know? This area will reflect your memories just as it does his."

"Ok,I'll give it a try..Victor Delixcroix,was a dark tamer,he used his partner Firyokutai to attack innocent digimon all over the digital world..",the dog said as his memory projected the image of Victor in a black cloak,with a yellow worm on his shoulder as they attacked a small digimon village.

Aj looked at this with a shocked expression on his face,in a flash he saw the girl he met in the woods on the ground dead and this Victor above her laughing.Aj then shook his head as he glared at the image."How come when I look at him,I get ticked off...",he thought to himself as he looked at the Labramon..

Intriguing...if this is truly what happened, then something has changed in the world. In all my travels... Sorcerymon nearly lost himself in thought, but managed to snap back to his present task. "Go on, friend. Do you remember how you two met this...Victor?" The sage asked solemly.

Aj shook his head,"I barely remember the guys name,you actually expect me to remeber how we met?",he stated as he frowned for a moment.

Labramon frowned as well as he thought about it."I remeber,it was when we had just left the digital city,we were walking though the forest intill he had been surprised by a Yokomon.."The digimon then smiled as he watched the both him and Aj jumped into the air out of fright and then land on their backs,Aj wasn't all that amused by this sight as he waited for the dog to continue."Anyway,after they took us to their village,it just so happened that an Airdramon appeared and began to attack the village in search for its digi-eggs,the Yokomon told us to run,but Aj wanted to help them..so we began to fight against the digimon by ourselves.."

"But then,he appeared..as if from the shadows..",Labramon said as the image of village appeared over a grassy hill."He then attacked us with his partner,putting us in a split battle between him and the Airdramon,then another dark tamer appeared and attacked us as well...we were both beaten up completely..and then..Victor disappeared,along with the other tamer..the Airdramon had lefted as well.."

Aj looked at himself laying on the ground,beaten and barely moving.But what really ticked him off,was what those fools had done to Labramon.His eyes glowed yellow as he gritted his teeth in anger."I wish I could fight those two now,I would kill them on sight..",he said as he clenched his hands into fists..

"I see, I see...very interesting." Sorcerymon said slowly, lost in thought. I have never heard of that event...what is so different about these two, why do they have such...foreign memories? "What else do you remember about this Victor? And what about that other, darker person?" He asked the pair quickly. He still wished to help them revive Aj's lost memories, true, but after seeing such intriguing memories, he also wanted to learn more about them for his own purposes, wantring to figure out why they had born witness to events he had never heard of in all his vast travels.

"And...what of that girl? The one that lay dead at Victor's feet? What do you know of her?"

Aj frowned as he heard the digimon asked about the girl and frowned."The girl has no meaning in this...I doubt she is of any importance in my memory..",the tamer said as he yellow eyes continued to glow."As for the other dark tamer..I know is name is Loz...after recovering from our injuries..we fought him after we met.....that girl...",Aj said as he remembered her once again,why was she connected to all this,he did not even know her?

Labramon looked at Aj and frowned,"I guess she is more important to all this then you thought..her name is Cleo..do you remember now?",the digimon asked as he looked at his tamer.

Aj thought about it,and still nothing came to mind,"like I said,she is only a image that keeps appearing,she is of no importance to me.."

The Tamer's words caused Sorcerymon to chuckle deeply. "Ho, you really believe that?" He asked, fighting back a single tear from his eye as he tried to compose himself. "I'd wager that you are very wrong." He replied, smiling at Aj from behind his cowl. "In fact, I'm guessing that not only is your companion correct, but this girl may be the key to it all."

He looked back to Labramon, his eyes pleading. "Please, friend, if you know anything else about this Cleo, you must speak!"

Aj frowned as the wizard said this and then looked down at Labramon as he spoke."Well,Cleo is this really nice girl that we met while we were exploring the apartment complex one time,her and her partner Peter became some really good friends,but..I think that she like Aj..but then something else happened...wow,has it been that long,I can even remember what is was that ticked you off one time..it was something pretty big..",the dog said as he looked at him.

"This is pointless,we're trying to find out about my past,not some girl!",Aj stated as he looked at Labramon and then at the image of the girl projected on the screen and he remebered something.

At that moment,a brief image of a kinder and more innocent looking Aj appeared on the screen next to the girl,"Ok,if you even need any help,you can count on me..",the Aj on the screen said with a grin as he looked at Cleo.

"Fool... can't even help yourself..",he said to himself as he watched the image fade away..

"See, I knew that girl was important to you." Sorcerymon told Aj cheerfully, ignoring his depressing and angry comment. "Now...do either of you know the connection between this Cleo and Victor? I sense...any connection they have will be important to you."

He paused momentarily, another idea coming to his mind. "Also...perhaps, we could skip ahead to the earliest memory you have, friend?"

Aj frowned as he looked at the wizard and then tried to remember something."It had something to do with him planning something,something that was dangerous for everyone,I knew I had to spot him,not only that...but he kissed that girl while they were walking together..and that really made me angry..but why would I flip over something like that?"

"Maybe its because you like..",Labramon was stopped in mid-sentence as Aj covered the dog's mouth."Zip it...anyway..lets get off this subject ok,I don't know her now..so she obviously wasn't that important,so drop it!",he said in a serious tone as he looked at the wizard and then at Labramon.

The fool... Sorcerymon thought, his eyes narrowing. His wand glowed brighter, and small crystals of cie formed on Aj's hand, the one he had used to cover his partner's mouth. They wouldn't hurt him too much, but they would be freezing cold.

"I apologize, friend. But, I cannot forgive those who deny their memories. It is clear to me that you have rather...romantic feelings for this 'Cleo', and you are jealous of this Victor, who has apparently held Cleo in affection as well. What I do not understand, though, is why Victor became evil, or if he was always evil, why this Cleo would spend as much time with him as she did. BUT, that does not matter right now. What matters is that if you are to regain your memories, you MUST NOT DENY THEM." He sighed heavily, and regained the jolliness he had displayed earlier.

"I apologise...if you wish to end this, I would understand."

Aj looked at his hand and removed it from the digimon's mouth as he clenched his frozen and into a fist,so that the ice would melt."Whatever..anyway..it maybe connected to this other girl he spoke so fondly about..her name...was Seere..",Aj said as he winched in pain as an image of blood and darkness surged through his mind.

The image appeared of a house,blood laid on the floor by a man and a women.The person's face that had seen this,could not be seen..but he rushed into another room,one where a small crib was.The crib was decorated in flowers and pink,but on the ground was a small child and there holding her was Seere..

Labramon saw this and remembered,"Aj,I remeber now,you went to go find a way to free Victor from the darkness,but ended up falling into yourself in hopes that it would help you get home..thats what happened to your memory..Seere took it!",the dog said as he looked up at Aj,who was glaring at the image of himself bowing to Seere as if he was a servant as he and Victor followed her out the blood soaked house,leaving the small girl there alone..

"What have I done....",he said to himself as he fell to his knee and pounded his fist into the floor."WHAT HAVE I DONE!!!!!!"

Sorcerymon merely nodded, what could be seen of his face was solemn. "I see...now that the cause of yor memory loss has been discovered, it is likely that you will begin to recover all the vestiges of your old self, without my aide. I now offer you a choice, friend: continue with this illusion, in an attempt to regain your former self; or end it, and regain those memories without me." The icy sage told Aj.

Aj rose up from the ground and looked at Labramon,who had a concerned expression on his face."End it,I've seen all I needed to..",he said as he looked at the wizard and then back on the ground.

"But Aj,who was that little girl in the room,the one you left behind..",Labramon asked as he looked at his tamer.Aj frowned as he thought about it,"someone..I left in the past..one who could never forgive me for what I have done..",he said as his eyes returned to normal,and were once again hidden in the darkness of his hood.

"I understand." Sorcerymon said rather solemnly, sad that the Tamer would not try and pursue the memory of yet another girl, but knowing there was nothing he could do to change his mind. The glow emitted by the end of his staff receeded, and took with it the realm of shining darkness, the realm of memories. The sphere contracted back into the wand, leaving Aj and Labramon where they had been standing on the Ocean's shore.

Sorcerymon was nowhere to be seen.

A chilling gust of wind blew through the area, and brought the sage's voice to Aj's ears. "My friend...all I can say to you now is...follow what you have relearned and good luck on your journey." The air died down once more, the only sound the crashing of the waves not too far away.

"And if you wish to find me...look for...the Oracle of Frost." These words came almost as an afterthought, going by the way the so-called Oracle spoke them.

Aj remained silent as he heard the digimon say this and then noticed that the wizard was gone.Armadilmon and Piyomon rushed over to Aj and Labramon and asked what had happened."Well,I think we made progress in finding some of Aj's lost memories..maybe now he will remember who he is..right?"

Aj looked at the digimon and frowned as he began to walk away from the ocean,without a word.The three digimon blinked in confusion as they quickly moved after Aj as they left the area..
