Title: The Power of the Crests
Description: Ryuha vs Lexi

Ryuha - June 24, 2008 12:33 AM (GMT)
Tamer Name: Ryuha Nara
Digimon Species: Ganimon, Agumon, Strabimon
Battle Type: Opponent (Lexi Tashimi)
Field Area: Floating circular metal platform about a mile in diameter in low orbit over the digital world. Air is kept in by an unbreakable dome-shaped force field and a moderate degree of artificial gravity keeps combatants from floating around aimlessly, but they can jump higher and further than usual.
((5820 - 50 = 5770))

Ryuha marched down the hallway at the training fields complex. Hitami skipped alongside with Adras clinging desperately to the Agumon's head. They had come to the training field to put the practical power of Ryuha's new crest to the test. The faint glimmer of the evolutionary power source shining through her shirt.

The three arrived at the door to their holographic room to find someone that one of them was very upset to see waiting for them. The humanoid wolf that was Kotaro's child level form leaned against the door lazily. "What is he doing here?" Adras shouted, his dislike of Kotaro directly evident.

"I see you got my message," Ryuha said to the Strabimon cautiously, ignoring Adras's complaint. "Although I must admit, I'm a little surprised you actually came, given your views on being a partner Digimon."

"I was curious," Kotaro replied, "I've heard rumors about these training fields and I wanted to see if they're true. By no means am I going to stay with you after we're done."

"You're not going to stay with us now!" Adras shouted suddenly, startling Hitami and sending her toppling over even as he jumped off her head and scuttled forth to confront the Strabimon.

The Ganimon didn't reach his nemesis though. Ryuha picked up the struggling and flailing crustacean, and walked onward into the holographic room.

"Wow," Hitami cheered, impressed by the fantastic place the projectors had created. The hard digizoite floor below, the digital world itself splayed out for one to view in its full glory if they just looked up.

"I must admit," Kotaro mumbled, striding into the battlefield, "it is rather impressive."

"Yeah," Adras practically drooled up at the sight, momentarily speechless for once.

Tamer Name: Lexi Tashimi
Digimon Species: Dinohumon, Guilmon, and Tailmon
Battle Type: Opponent (Ryuha Nara)
Field Area: Floating circular metal platform about a mile in diameter in low orbit over the digital world. Air is kept in by an unbreakable dome-shaped force field and a moderate degree of artificial gravity keeps combatants from floating around aimlessly, but they can jump higher and further than usual.

(10,500 - 50 = 10,450)

"Now THAT is what I call a battle field!"

Came the exclaimed and awed cry of the Dinohumon, his eyes remaiend fixed on the breathtaking view of their world below his feet as they entered the dome. The view was both a breathtaking sight to behold, but also a very frightening sight as well.

Lexi stepped warily onto the battle field that laid before her. Her eyes trailed off, catching the sight of the Digital World from the safety of the dome. At the very sight fo it she felt a shiver of fear run down her spine.

"Don't become fearful Alexis. " Spyro chimed in, his Guilmon coming into view before the girl. "This may all look real, but this is simply a hologram none the less."

"Umm...right." That little reminder did calm her nerves a bit. Steeling her courage again, Lexi walked further onto the field and saw their opponents had already arrived.

"Hey, it's a girl." Tikal pointed out who was bringng up the rear of the group, Lexi nodded in acknowledgement.

"We can see that, Tikal. But who is she is what we want to know."

Once everyone had arrived, Lexi began to take lead and make the first move as far as introductions were concerned. "Hey there. I'm Lexi. That's Kodi." The girl motioned to her left as the Dinohumon nodded.

"The Guilmon to my right is Spyro." Lexi then motioned to her right as the dragon stood poised and ready to fight. But managed to nod in response ot his own introduction.

"And the little kitty here is Tikal." The Tailmon in question waved toward Ryuha and her group. "Nice to meet you all."

"I gotta say, you picked one heck of a place to have a battle. Not one that I'd think of having myself, but it'll probably make things interesting huh?" Lexi smirked.

RyuRyu-chan - July 1, 2008 01:52 AM (GMT)
The first to notice the incoming opponents was Kotaro, his strong nose effortlessly picking up their scent. A human girl with three pets, one a piece of the data, virus and vaccine types. He divined all this without even opening his eyes to look at them. When the Strabimon did open his eyes and looked at them, his expresion was quite wry. "What is it with humans and collecting pets like this?" He asked rhetorically.

Without giving Kotaro's comment time to settle in and build tension, Hitami rushed forward to offer friendly greeting to the enemy party. "Hi," she said brightly, coming up first to the Tailmon, then moving on to the human. "I'm Hitami, my Ojou-sama is named Ryuha, and the Ganimon is my cute little Adras Onii-chan. Oh, and the Strabimon is called Kotaro, and don't mind his attitude, he's mostly harmless."

"It's nice to meet you," Ryuha interjected seriously, "but perhaps we could spare a moment to discuss the terms of this battle? How about two-on-two tag-team with a single reserve? Of course, I'm also comfortable if you wish to use different terms miss Lexi."

Aqua-chan - July 2, 2008 04:17 PM (GMT)
Having heard the off handed comment Kotaro made by his observation of them, Spyro snorted angrily. "Pets?" He spat back. The way the Strabimon said that, it made the Guilmon's blood boil. He could tell that they were hitting things off swimmingly...

Tikal sighed, already it looked as if her friend was about to tear the wolf boy's head off. There went any prospect of having a friendly battle. She turned to Hitami and with a smile replied. "Nice to meet you Hitami."

Kodi nodded to each in greeting, however he frowned at Kotaro over that little comment he made. But unlike Spyro, he reserved his anger for when the battle began.

Lexi smiled at Ryuha, only to crige a bit at being called miss. "You don't have to call me miss, you know? I feel like I'm something I'm not if called by that title."

But the girl continued on after that. "Sounds fine with me. I haven't had a two on two battle with one reserve. What shall that one reserve be?" she asked.

RyuRyu-chan - August 4, 2008 02:40 AM (GMT)
Ryuha shrugged, "your choice, as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure you can come up with some sort of strategy to that end."

"Not the Guilmon though," Kotaro cut in, smelling the dragon's simmering anger and looking forward to the implication thereof. "I want to see how well he fights." The wolf boy glowed brilliantly and his form shifted, becoming a lithe quadrupedal canine with a spiked collar, a Dobermon.

Adras yawned and settled down for a nap. "Wake me if you need me." His snoring quickly earned him his desired position as the reserve for Ryuha's team.

Hitami smiled brightly before glowing as Kotaro had, her suarian form becoming larger and more powerful. Plates erupted down her back and her claws grew longer and better suited to tearing and rending. As the glow faded, her skin was shown to be a deep red. The Tyranomon shook off her extended inactivity and got into a stance, ready to match skills with whoever the opposing team put against her first.

((Short, but it does the job. Sorry again for the delay.))

Aqua-chan - August 6, 2008 04:59 PM (GMT)
Spyro snorted. "Fine, you and me wolf child." The dragon smirked, this couldn't have worked out any better on his end. He would be able to put the Strabimon in his place over that little comment he made.

The Guilmon's body began to glow with the light of evolution. His form grew taller and larger as a result. A unruley mane grew along his nead and neck as a set of blood red spikes/blades protruded from his arms. The Growmon snorted black smoke from his nostrills, no doubt showing he was more than ready to fight.

And it would be he who would start the battle off. With a swing of his now larger tail, he was going to trip up the small dog. Something to get him by surprise before he unleashed a fiery blast upon him.

Tikal wasn't quite up to being the second opponent. "I'll sit this one out if that's okay..." The Tailmon took her place alongside her human tamer, although Lexi was a little disappointed. She had hoped the white cat would be a little more open to having a friendly battle.

Which meant the task of being the second opponent fell onto Kodi. Since he was already in his adult form, there was no need for him to further evolve. He stared up at the large red form of Hitami. Now she would prove to be quite a challenge for the Dinohumon.

Soon, Akinakesu was unsheathed and the battle would begin in full swing. He charged for the Tyranomon with the giant blade swinging. On the sidelines, their tamer remained ready. A hand placed over her card deck, Lexi wouldl ikely come up with a working strategy as the battle progressed.

RyuRyu-chan - September 19, 2008 05:02 PM (GMT)
Kotaro's ears twitched and his eyes narrowed as the Growmon's viral scent filtered into his sensitive Dobermon nose. The instincts of the form were to tear and rend all things viral, it was a wild and savage instinct, but it could prove useful to him as long as he controlled it.

The dragon's tail swept toward the Dobermon, and he crouched down, timing his jump carefully. When the time was just right, he jumped up and hooked his foreleg over the tail, letting it carry him around to the dragon's back and neatly evading the fire blast that followed.

The dog stared up at the Growmon's back as he tumbled off the tail. If the battle went according to plan, he'd hopefully be seeing a lot of it. Dark energy crackled around his teeth and filled up his mouth before he fired it at Spyro in a black beam. "Schwarz Strahl!"

Hitami took a deep breath, ducked down, and planted her hand on the flat of the oncoming blade, pushing it up and away. With the Dino Humon hopefully off balance, she swung her other hand around to slash at him with her sharp claws. "Slash Nail!"

((Hehe, sorry it's so late, obviously. Also do tell me if I overdid it a bit, my scale feels a bit off for some reason.))

Aqua-chan - September 22, 2008 07:18 PM (GMT)
(Tis alright with me Ryuha, I'm just glad you've replied altogether here. ^^; )

He felt something grab onto his tail and make its way up along his back. No doubt this meant that Kotaro owas on the attack. But with the dog on his back, it left Spyro unable to attack his opponent.

Which, much to Kotaro's delight, left the dragon completely open.

In his effort to try and grab at the Dobermon with his claws, he felt a painful blow strike against him. It sent the Growmon falling to the ground, leaving him to sit in his stupor as to how he could be struck so easily.

Eventually, the red dragon shook it off. He laid there for a moment before deciding on an interesting strategy. Instead of getting back up, he remained on his belly but the blades at his arms took on light.

"Plasma Blades!" When they were heated to maximum, Spyro quickly turned onto his side and slashed his left blade at Kotaro. This would likely get him by surprise, but that was yet to be seen.

Kodi's eyes widen, surprised that the Tyranomon caught his blade and had pushed it back. None of his previous enemies had ever done such a thing. Then again, he didn't face any enemies as big as Hitami currently was.

Indeed, he was caught off balance by this. But not enough to get a full blow from him. He was struck by her large claws, there was no doubt about it. However, he placed his arm blades between her claws and himself, trying to prevent her from slashing him to death.

RyuRyu-chan - October 1, 2008 05:26 PM (GMT)
Kotaro growled at the lying Growmon, wondering what plans were brewing in the dinosaur's head. The last thing he was expecting was the simple, but sudden strategy of turning quickly and attack the dog with glowing arm blades. As a result the Dobermon was sent squeeling and tumbling across the floor.

"Stupid dog," Adras mumbled in his half-sleep, managing a gloating tone.

"Not stupid," Ryuha answered with a sigh, "but I think he could use some help." She dug through her cards and picked out one the Dobermon had some prior experience with, which she then slashed unceremoniously.

After that embarassment, Kotaro was no longer particularly fond of restraining his feral instincts. He narrowed his eyes, threw up his head and howled out the words "Grau Realm!" A grayish blanket fell over the battlefield, and suddenly, not just Spyro, but Kodi, Hitami, and even Tikal and Adras would find it hard to use their special attacks for a couple minutes.

Kotaro himself was immune to his own trick and could easily have used a Schwarz Strahl as his second attack, but he instead chose to charge past the Growmon's beefy right leg and tried to slash at it with the long dew claw on his own right front leg.

Hitami was mildly annoyed at the feeling of her attacks being lost to her momentarily, but she was probably far less anoyed than her opponent, as she knew full well how to fight without those abilities. Taking advantage of the reduced gravity, the Tyranomon leapt backwards, away from her humanoid foe. It was only a momentary reprieve though, and she clenched her fists tight before charging back in to try and nail Kodi with a powerful left hook.

As the grey fog rolled across the battlefield slowly as it appeared, Spyro seemed to pay little heed to it. At least, until he felt its strange effects take hold of him. "What the devil?!"

The dragon's eyes widened, he felt something being take away from him. Something he couldn't see, but knew it was of great importance to him. Without it, attacking his opponent via special attacks would be hard to perform.

Which left the Growmon wide open for the recieving end of the dog's dew claws. Spyro howled as he felt their sharpness penetrait into his right forearm. His opponent's agility made him too quick for Spyro to lash out at.

But he too found it hard to supress his insticts to fight at full force as well.

With a low growl, the red dragon whipped his tail at Kotaro from side to side. If he couldn't use his special attacks, then he could still use brute force to land a blow against the dog.

Tikal could also feel the strange effect on her, as did Kodi while she watched his opponent make a high jump and charge at him with her fist. "Do you think Kodi can take on Hitami like that?"

Lexi shook her head. "I don't know. But I do know that he'll need some help." She turned to her deck to provide the nessesary help and found a fitting card to aid him.

In the air above Kodi, small feathers began to fall upon the still coming Hitami. He found it odd that feathers had suddenly appeared, but if they were what he though they were then the Tyranomon wouldn't be able to do much to avoid them.

Drawing Akinakesu, the Dinohumon jumped into the air and shot straight for Hitami. With less gravity within the dome arena, it gave his jump the added boost he needed to reach his opponent and slash at her.

RyuRyu-chan - October 24, 2008 02:21 AM (GMT)
Koatro's gallop was interupted by Spyro's meaty tail suddenly sweeping his legs out from under him. As he picked himself up, the dog reminded himself of one thing he had nearly forgotten. Even without his special attacks, the Growmon was easily three times his size, and had him utterly beat in terms of reach and raw strength. If Kotaro was to gain the full adavantage of his Grau Realm, he would have to keep a fair distance.

Dark energy crackled around the Dobermon's teeth like black lightning before he fired it out at Spyro once more. Whether or not the Schwarz Strahl succeeded, Kotaro got up on his feet and took off to put some distance between himself and his opponent.

Elsewhere, Hitami was in trouble. Between the feathers of light that swarmed toward her and Kodi's sword being put to use once more, she would have trouble avoiding damage. Ryuha slashed a card that went a long way to remedy that problem though. The saurian's hands were suddeny replaced by cybernetic appendages that were somewhere between three-pronged pinsirs and vicegrips.

These new hands popped open revealing circular openings through which poked the heads of small missiles. "Genocide Gear!" One after the other, the missiles were fired into the cloud of feathers, the detonations burning up the gossamer. There wasn't time to deal with the Akinakesu attack as well, and Hitami took a slash along her flank for her trouble, but she quickly responded by trying to slash Kodi with the needle-sharp tip of her new right hand. "Guilty Claw!"

Aqua-chan - October 28, 2008 08:04 PM (GMT)
This battle was growing more and more fierce and all the more bad for the likes of Spyro and Kodi. Despite their efforts to fight off their opponents, Hitami and Kotaro would still manage to gain the upper hand.

Lavander eyes belonginng to Kodi widened and quickly grew shut as he felt the dinosaur slash her new claws against his chest. Roaring in anguish, he was sent falling to the ground. Its impact did little to ease the pain coming from his fresh scar.

"We need a new plan..." Kodi grunted as he pushed himslef to sit back up. Behind him, he missed his tamer look away from his less than perfect fall.

When he looked to his right, he caught saight of Spyro pushing himself to get back up. Only to be shoved back onto the ground by the black lighting at his back being shot at by Kotaro.

In that moment, Spyro too realized that they needed a new plan of action. At this rate, the battle will end in Ryuha's favor if nothing was done. He growled lowly in pain, his gaze turned and became fixed upon the human girl standing by her Tailmon.

Lexi found herself staring back at her Growmon, her gaze meeting his desperate one. "Alexis, help me. Lend me your power..."

She knew full well what 'power' he meant. Her hands came to grasp the small tag at the end of her necklace. Almost as if sensing it was needed, the crest began to glow in her hands. Its power shot from the girl's hands and guided itself to the red dragon who needed it.

"Growmon shinka!~"

Blue evolution light allowed the red dragon to stand once again. His form took on a more bulky look, but that extra bulk had a greater purpose. Armor attatched itself to his arms and chest, giving him added power that he didn't have before. When his form could be seen through the fading light show, the symbol on individulaity was spotted on his new face plate and chest plate.

With a roar of confidence, he introduced himself to all. "Megalo Growmon!"

Kodi knew that was what the crest was cabable of, as he had been the first to be effected by it. Smirking, he got to his feet and yelled out. "Spyro, switch up time!"

It didn't take the perfect digimon long to learn what he meant. Nodding in agreement, the two digimon went in opposite directions. The Dinohumon headed for the dog, unsheating Akinakesu after he had regained it from his previous attack on Hitami and threw it at him. "Akinakesu!"

As for Spyro, Hitami would prove to be more suitable for him to take on. Once he reached her, the blades at his arms gleemed as he began to slash at her with them. "Double Edge!"
