Title: Citron V.S. Lost

Hey, you gotta fill this application out and put it at the top of our thread first:

Tamer Name: Rarule
Digimon Species: Hawkmon
Battle Type: Opponent- Lost and Hang
Field Area: "Random"

Rarule and Feather hadn't predicted to be in a battle so early. Besides, they were rookies (Feather was literally). Once they got the challenge, they immedietely accepted. Finally, the chance to meet another tamer and his partner. "I wonder how many partners he got." Feather asked, nervously looking left and right in search of their opponents. "What do you mean? We could have more than one digimon?" Feather looked up at Rarule as if he said something vile. "As smart as your supposed to be, you mean you didn't know that" Rarule scoffed in disbelief. "Well how the heck was I supposed to know. I'm not some philosopher of the digital world you know!"

Feather merely waved him off. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. Anyways, of course you can. In fact, you can have four. Do you know who you want as your second?" Rarule thought about it. "Hmmm... Yeah, but I'm thinking more of switching my old one for a new one." Feather sent Rarule a kick to his ankle. "Stop joking like that!" Rarule just laughed, while at the same time shaking his leg from the pain. "Sorry about that." He began wondering of his opponent would show up for real, and thought maybe they might change their minds at the last second. "I hope we're not waiting here for no reason."

Lost - February 21, 2008 02:38 AM (GMT)
((It's Cyrus and Hang. ;3 Lost isn't the name of my character.))

Instantly the dome integrated itself into a large field, the green grass swaying in a sweet smelling wind. The sky above was clear and crystal blue, soft, thin stratus clouds stretching themselves over the azure canvas. A shift in the grass and ringing noise echoed around the quiet field and when all eyes shifted to area it came from, instantly they locked upon a white weasel like digimon poking her head up out of the green grass.

It flicked it's tail one time before diving back into the greenery and scampering back, shaking every blade on its way. It lead the path to a small teenaged boy with dark hair and kind blue eyes. On his left side flanked a canine digimon, standing at a height of three feet or more and wagging his curly red tail eagerly.

"Hi!!"

The voice was light and cheery, accompanied by a wave of a hand as the weasel dashed up his leg and then settled on his shoulder. It stared at them with sharp but curious golden eyes, tail twitching from side to side and ringing a little bell at the end.

"I'm your opponent I suppose,"the boy continued,"I'm Cyrus and this is Hang-"He patted the white digimon's head-"and Rufus." His hand drifted back down to give the labrador a good scratch. His blue eyes looked back up at the pair and he chewed his lip out of nervous habit.

He shifted preparing to continue explaining but was cut off by Hang.

"You'll be fighting me!"

The voice was femine and a bit high pitched, revealing that Hang was indeed female. She dashed down from Cyrus's shoulder and stood up on her hindlegs, smiling.

Rarule didn't know what to expect once he saw the weasel-like digimon. He never seen one before and didn't know what it was doing here. So he immedietely branded it as his opponents digimon. "Come on Feather, lets follow it." The two hurried after the digimon with a steady pace, cautious not to get to close and upset the thing. Rarule had little to no information about digimon and he didn't want to learn the hard way.

Their jog was over once the white digimon ran to a short dark haired kid. Rarule stayed about ten feets away from the kid as preparation for a surprise attack. He didn't want to take any chances. Though, the kid did look like he was nice. After greeting the two, the kid stated, "I'm your opponent I suppose," which gave Rarule some relief. He was happy to know that these two were indeed his opponent and not some random tamer and partner. "Umm... hi. My names Rarule." He held out a hand to shake, then pulled back once he realized how far apart they were. "Sorry about that." He placed a hand on Feather, who seemed awfully quiet at the moment. Was he shy? Rarule really couldn't tell. "And this little bird right here is Feather."

Lost - February 21, 2008 10:10 PM (GMT)
Hang gave a quiet, annoyed squeak. "Enough with formalities,"she said sharply,"It's time to fight and it's time to fight now." She placed her paws on her hips and watched Feather with sharp golden eyes. What she was saw was a simple Hawkmon, young and still new to the world. Or relatively new to the world.

Her observations were cut short though as clawed paws slipped under her arms and lifted her, holding the kudamon above the ground.

"Now, love, don't be so testy."

Rufus's voice rang in her ear and vein appeared on her head. "I wasn't testy until you came over and picked me up,"she growled lowly before swinging her bell tail thwapping him hard across his sensitive nose. A satisfying yelp rang from the labramon and he dropped her in light of holding his now throbbing nose.

She landed with a light patter of paws on grass before looking back at the pair with a smile. "Let's go!!"she said,"Before I use up all my energy beating up the dumb dog behind me."

She was suddenly picked up by the skin above her golden collar, her face turned into the frowning expression of her tamer. "Be patient, Hang, and apologize to Rufus,"he said sharply. She looked at him, pouting a bit, before looking to the Labrador and sighing.

"Fine... I'm sorry..."

Her golden eyes drifted away as she countinued to sulk, arms crossed. It satisfied Cyrus though and he lowered her down, giving her a pet. Once finished with her, he turned to Rufus to check his nose. It was a little red and swollen but wasn't permanent damage. Finding everything ok, he hefted the heavier Labramon away from Hang and looked back at the other tamer.

"Ready to begin?"

citron - February 22, 2008 12:24 AM (GMT)
"Uh..." Rarule watched on as Hang gave his little hyper-active rant. A jab to his hip drew his attention down to Feather. "That girl has had too much digiberries." Rarule didn't know what those were so he simply gave a slight chuckle at Feathers attempt for a joke. "Or maybe too much coffee." Rarule gave a nod, signaling the kid that he was indeed ready. Feather got into some stawking stance in attempt of looking fierce. Or atleast as fierce a Hawkmon can get.

"Hmm... I think I wanna make the first move." In fact, he didn't think, he knew it was his only option. That digimon was fast and not the type to allow an opening attack. His speed was going to be a factor, so Rarule decided to do something about it immedietely.

Pulling out a card, then making sure it was the right one, he gave a slight nod before scanning it on the D-Ban. "I use, LadyDevimons Gift!" The D-Ban began glowing as Feather too under-went the same effect. His speed was now increased and should be able to match if not surpass that weasels speed.

"Now, for my next move, I use Venom Spit!" He did another slash of the card and Feather once again glew with a white light. "Okay Feather, go!" Feather nodded and yelled out, "Venom Spit!"

It was with the first slashing of cards that Hang charged, bounding into the green grass where she vanished into it. Speed was only good if you could actually see your opponent and if the digimon you were battling against was already built for speed.

Cryus smiled as Hang bounded into the greenery before reaching for his own cards, searching through them quickly. He pulled out the card he wanted and slashed it quickly. Instantly a light blazed in the grass, starting to pick up great speed before disappearing all together.

His fingers grabbed another card and swiped it again. In the grass Hang's mind picked up the pace, calculating the possibilities and the consequences. She began to run around behind the Hawkmon just as the wind blew, hiding her movements.

"Exceedingly Light Dash!"

Light sparked from the Kudamon's earing and she charged, bounding into the air to tackle the Hawkmon.

citron - February 22, 2008 02:13 AM (GMT)
It all went by like a streak of lightening. The slashing of the cards, the increased speed of Hang, and the final blow to Hawkmons back. Feather flew foward, all breath nearly knocked out of him. It would have been much easier to withstand the attack if he knew it was coming, but the weasel digimon left no second to chance. Just as Rarule thought before, Hangs speed would be an issue.

It also didn't help that this was Rarule and Feathers first ever fight. It also didn't help that their opponent was more experienced then them. "What do I do? What cards can I play?" He quickly rummaged through the cards in his arsenal. "No... no... no... wait..." He finally found a card that triggered something for him. "Yes!"

Without wasting no time, he slashed the card and instantly saw two white wings spread out from Hawkmons back. An odd thing to do yes but he had his reasons. "Now for the next one." Another slash and Feathers hands transformed into sickle weapons

"Great, with his hands no longer wings, he can't fly, so I needed that Fly Away card. You can't beat what you can't hit." He thought to himself. Feather immedietely flew up, his new wings moving as graceful as if they were his own. Looking down at his opponent, Feather made his aim and flew down at full speed for the weasel. While he shot out at the opponent, he yelled, "Venom Spit!" And fired another shot of the toxic substance at Hang while still maintaining his descend. If the venom spit didn't get him, he'll get him with Shadow Sickle.

((Hang's a she. ;3))

The poison hit, Hang unable to dodge while airborne and she slammed painfully into the grass, hacking and coughing. It had been a painful attack it took her a few seconds to recover completly. Stumbling up she began to dash back into the grass, golden eyes glaring up at the Hawkmon.

Her mind quickly calculated what her next plan of action should be and slowly she raised her tail, gathering a charge. Blinding light illuminated from the bell as she readied her attack.

"Holy Shot!"

A bullet of light fired straight at the Hawkmon, giving the firer time to escape back into the grass. The bell on her tail tingled as she dashed through the blades of grass, cutting through the tall blades of grass like they were butter.

Rufus and Cyrus stood on the sidelines, cheering on their partner and unrequited love with excitement. Vaguely though, both of them were thinking the same thing. If he had sickle hands, why didn't he just cut down the grass to make it easier on himself?

citron - February 22, 2008 04:02 AM (GMT)
(awwwwwww, why did you have to state what I was planning next :WAAH!: )

The adrenaline never hit Rarule so hard as it did that moment Feathers attack laid contact. He was feeling a new rush of energy and couldn't possibly have had more fun than he was right now. "Okay, another sweet move like that should put us on the advantage." He thought they were doing great, until the weasel fired off into the tall grass once more.

"He keeps hiding himself in..." He was cut off by the sound of an attack, "Holy Shot!" As Rarule saw the bullet fire off at Hawkmon, all activity left his body. He stood there motionless as the attack fired off towards his digimon. And by the look on Feathers face, he was having the same symptoms.

"Feather dodge it!" he yelled towards his digimon, but it fell on deaf ears as the wings loss their juice and fizzed out, dropping Feather down and out of range of the attack. Rarule nearly stumbled over from the rush of relief that he was feeling at that moment.

"Okay Feather we're going to try and force that weasel out of hiding. Use Shadow Sickle along the the tall grass to chop it up. But first..." He pulled out a card, read the title then grinned. "Let's get you your wings back." He swiped the card and just like that, Feather grew his white wings once again. But they would last twice as long and he could move twice as fast along with his already boost of speed. "Now fly low and cut the grass along the way!"

Type: Single Target
Duration: Dependant on the card reactivated
Effect: User can select one of his/her cards that has lost its effect in the previous two posts. ((Sorry. xD; Again, Hang's a she. You keep typing he. ;3))

Hang quickly bounded an dodged the slicers as they cleared away her advantage. Quickly thinking she charged up her tail once more and let out another Holy shot, aiming at the Hawkmon quickly. It was a sloppily thrown together attack, reducing the chances of it hitting.

In fact, the next row of attacks were sloppy and quick, she now just trying to stop the bird digimon from ruining what had been her advantage. Lucky for her Cyrus had a plan.

Quickly he rifled through his deck once more before pulling out card. He slashed it hurriedly and watched as a giant, purple net appeared and began to engulf Feather quickly. If he'd read the card right, then it should not only immobilize him but enflict damage at the same time, effectively stopping him from destroying the grass for now.

((Name: Venomous Net
Number: R26
Type: Single Target
Duration: 2 Turns
Effect: A poisonous net surrounds affected opponent, causing 15 points of damage each round, and preventing them from moving.))

citron - February 22, 2008 11:53 PM (GMT)
(oops, I keep getting confused, sorry)

Rarule half-expected for Hang to get caught by Feather. The birds speed was at the highest it could get right now, but as usual, he underestimated the digimon and Cyrus. Feather was going to work on the grass, making sure to cut them low enough where Hang can't hide. It seemed that Hang was pretty uneasy about the whole thing and was sloppily throwing attacks at Hawk as if her aim was somehow gone.

Feather didn't have to really struggle to dodge her attacks. It looked more like they did the dodging than Feather. What didn't seem to swirl pass Hawkmon was a purple net that wrapped itself around the hawk digimon and trap it completely. "This is bad, how do I get him out?"

He couldn't find a card in his arsenal that could help him out of this situation, Feather was trapped for until that thing lasted. What made things worse was that Feather was takign damage by it. "Just hold out a little longer Feather!"

Lost - February 25, 2008 05:32 PM (GMT)
Hang grinned, taking her chance as it was presented to her. She could already seen the net weakening and quickly raised her tail, gathering as much energy as she could into it. Golden eyes set and body tense, the bell gave a jingle as she fired, hard, at the Hawkmon.

The light attack barrelled through the air, already certain to hit unless Rarule could pull a card out to save his frozen and captured partner. Above the sun blazed and the wind whipped, keeping the air from being stifling.

On the side lines Cryus watched on with confidence, the feeling up lifting and one he wasn't generally used to. While the situation was a bit sour for their opponents it was turning out unexpectedly sweet. Not particularly because they were winning but because of the swell of self worth that blossomed in the tamers chest. He'd been useful somehow and that was a wonderful, indescribeable feeling.

((I apoligize for taking so long. ^^; I admit I have no reason for taking as long as I did outside of a bit of waning interest. Sorry. Its not the thread but the site as a whole. But I promise to start posting more often, starting Wed. >.> I'm grounded at home and I'm on a school computer.))

citron - February 26, 2008 12:17 AM (GMT)
(trust me, I understand. Sometimes people need a break from it all.)

Rarule didn't know what exactly to do as he had no card that could work with Feather trapped like this. He didn't want to, but he had to stand there and watch as the attack hit Feather dead on, most likely ending this fight right here and now. "Feather, you okay!?" He yelled, trying to find some ounce of hope.

"Yeah, of course I'm alright. I mean, I didn't just get attacked while I was defenseless so why wouldn't I be?" The sarcasm was deep but it was actually relieving to Rarule. "Great! I think this thing is almost done, just hang on and we'll strike back!"

Lost - February 26, 2008 12:43 PM (GMT)
((Yeah. ^^;;; Unfortunantly it happens more often then not with me. I'm ADD so my interest swap up every five minutes. >.> And I got unexpectedly ungrounded earlier for good behavior and doing the dishes. :D Huzzah!!!! *proceeds to hurrily post before the bus arrives* And if I'm not mistaken the scythes should be gone by now, right? XD; For once I had perfect timing.))

Indeed it was almost over, even as Feather and Rarule spoke the net was fading away into data. It swirled away freeing the bird digimon leaving Hang muttering angry curses under her breath. Half of the grass had been chopped away, leaving her with a very limited amount of hiding spaces. She'd have to fight one on one now, something that admittedly wasn't her strongest point.

Even worse was the fact that Fox Power was wearing off and her speed was reducing to its original status. She couldn't keep dodging like she had been.

Gathering light in her earing quickly she decided to try one more attack before the Hawkmon fully managed to gather his thoughts. "Exceeding Light Dash!"she barked, taking off as fast as her slinky body and the waning Fox Power would allow her.

On the sidelines, Cyrus was already searching for another card to assist his digimon but was coming up a bit short. He really needed to buy new cards.

citron - March 1, 2008 05:49 PM (GMT)
(Sorry, had a power problem)

Rarule watched as the Kudamon came with another attack towards Feather. This was crazy. His digimon was unable to defend itself and probably on the verge of losing. Rarule didn't know whether he was thinking clearly, or maybe just crazy.

"I give. You guys win." he said, holding up a hand in truce.

The thing is, Rarule really didn't have much cards in his arsenal and probably... no most likely would have lost sooner or later.

"Please, call off your digimon. You've won. You guys are actually pretty strong for a tamer with a rookie digimon."

Lost - March 2, 2008 02:51 AM (GMT)
Hang skidded to a hault and looked up at them, a bit shocked. She'd expected a longer battle but was pleasantly pleased with her self. A smile blossomed on her face and she stood on her hind legs, holding a paw out to Feather. "Nice battle,"she said happily,"It gave me a run for my money."

Cyrus agreed with her and slowly approached, grinning. "Thank you,"he said,"You two weren't so bad yourselves..." He flushed a bit, not used to being called good or powerful in a battle. Beside him, Rufus beamed proudly, red tail wagging excitedly.

"You've got pretty good tactics,"the labramon said,"Cyrus could learn a bit. His strategies are usually pretty lacking..." The dog digimon grinned as his tamer flushed brightly but still smiled, agreeing with him.

((It's no problem. ^^))

citron - March 2, 2008 04:04 AM (GMT)
Now it was Rarules turn to flush. "Thanks. Well, I wish we had more battle experience. I had other stuff planned out, but you made sure to stop me from doing any of them." Rarule bent down to pat Feather on the head. "This little guy definetely needed that. I bet he's learn alot from that fight."

Feather swatted Rarules hand away. "Speak for yourself! Exactly when did I tell you to stop the match!" Feather turned with his hands crossed, making sure that all they saw was his back. Rarule sighed, than laughed from the bird digimons outburst.

"Whatever you say Feather. Your Welcome." Rarule turned his attention back to Hang. "So, is that the only form your capable of now? Or are you able to go higher? Cause it seemed like you were being more subtle than your used to."

Lost - March 2, 2008 04:12 AM (GMT)
Hang puffed out her chest and placed his paws on her hips. "I can go to my armor form,"she said with bright pride and enthusiasm,"So can Rufus... I'm sure if I was in the right situation though, I could go up to Champion form." She nodded and grinned.

Cyrus smiled down at her before looking back at Rarule. "I'm pretty sure you two will be stronger than us soon enough..."he said before looking a little downcast,"Admittedly, we aren't that powerful..." He patted Rufus's head quietly.

citron - March 2, 2008 04:18 AM (GMT)
Rarule shook his head. "Nah, I don't think we'll get stronger than you. Yo uguys are pretty awesome now." He laughed, than realized how much he praising this guy. The kid must think Rarule was some weirdo or something. Blushing a little from the thought, Rarule gave Feather a tap.

"Okay, I think we should head back to the apartments Feather." The bird digimon nodded and gave his opponents a stern look before walking off. Rarule chuckled from embarrassment. "Sorry about that. It seems that Feather adopts a new personality each time he digivolves. I really hope he doesn't get worse when he reaches champion."

Rarule gave them a small wave, then turned to catch up with Feather.

Lost - March 2, 2008 04:24 AM (GMT)
"Bye..."

Cyrus waved and smiled as the feild disappeared and he was left standing in the metal dome. He looked down to Hang and Rufus and contemplated Rarule's words. Were they really all that grand? It never seemed like it before...

"Cyyyyyyy! Let's goooo!"

Hang's voice broke into his thoughts and he blinked. A slow nod was his reply and he smiled broadly. "Com'on,"he said, allowing the Kudamon a similar grin and a chance to scamper up to his shoulder. Insantly she settled herself comfortably and looked towards Rufus.

The Labramon was already half way through the door and she had to cling to her tamer's shirt as he hurried after the other digimon.

((Alrighty dighty! This is a completed training thread. :3))

Schmegkopf - March 2, 2008 12:56 PM (GMT)
((Nothing worse than a Tamer who quits when he’s still in with a decent chance of winning. While the character development/writing on Cyrus’s side is solid, it’s not particularly special.

Rarule and Feather get 0.01+ DEP, 100 monies and a Kudamon plushie with a light-up tail bell; Cyrus and Hang get 0.05+ DEP, 150 monies and a Hawkmon plushie with talon slashing action.

Remember, money is a LOT harder to come by than DEP, so the way I see it, this is still a perfectly worthwhile reward for both of you.))
