Title: Jungle Fever
Description: and painfully viney bad puns
Cleo Rania - January 13, 2008 04:23 AM (GMT)
(Anyone, anything, anytime, come join! It's about time the Jungle got a little love. Drak is up for anything, so tamer or evil or good digimon, come on in)
Ayanna contented herself to running through the long empty trailmon as Drak sat near a window, gazing at the scenery. Drak decided to start with the train itself. He was inside what appeared to be a naked mole rat/train hybrid. Inside there were plush orange seats, almost like the nekobus from Totoro. It was much cleaner than any train he’d seen before. The seats were stationed like on a subway, with most seats facing away from the window, and many poles in the middle. Said poles were incredibly shiny, and Drak doubted that anyone had ever dared put their oily hands on them, lest hand prints derail their beauty. Drak had a small book bag full of a lunch for himself and Ayanna, his cards, and his digivice. He put the tan book bag next to him, weary of the suspiciously clean floor.
Drak turned himself around, staring out the window. Once the train station tunnels had flown by, Drak was faced with fields and fields of multi-color grass. There were specks in the sky he could only assume were birds of a sort. He saw small head-shaped creatures, who Ayanna, in her few brief moments of sitting still, informed Drak that they were young baby digimon. Various digmon were attending them, most notably a Piccolomon, before the train sped by.
The lights flickered on and off for a moment, before turning back on. During this moment, Drak remembered he had not told the talking train where he wanted to end up. Drak sighed. His cousin had always told him that you’ll get in trouble if you don’t know where you’re heading, literally or philosophically, or ‘intellectual’ like that. As they passed through deserts, beaches, and mountain sides, Drak found himself very sleepy. The train was very warm, and Drak’s eyelids soon found themselves draped over the young man’s eyes.
“Drak! Drak, I am being of the serious, please wake you up!” Palmon was shaking Drak. A she opened his eyes slowly and blinked many times, he saw in Ayanna’s eyes she was neither scared nor annoyed. In fact, she was smiling. “If you sleep muchy-much, we won’t get battle through well!” Ayanna said. Drak felt his hand automatically reach up to Palmon’s head and noggie her head playfully. She was very, very confused, but attributed it a normal human reaction of being woken up. She giggled, then jumped away, to let Drak get up.
“Ayanna, where are we,” was the first thing out of Drak’s groggy mouth. The first thing he noticed was that is was even warmer than before. In fact, he had to adjust to the air. Then his eyes adjusted. Outside the window, there seemed to be an ocean of trees, grass, and over-sized plants. If Ayanna was any proof, plants could prove dangerous. God forbid on of the large leafy vegetables decided to eat Drak as a snack.
“We’re in jungle-kun! It is dangerous and newly-ish explored,”Ayanna said, brimming with joy. Apparently, the idea of being killed didn’t turn her away from possible adventure. Drak had to stop himself from gripping the seat and refusing to get up. His digimon wanted to go, so he would have to. Not that he had any choice. The moment Drak got up, the train twisted sideways, forcing Drak and Ayanna to fall out of the passenger car and into a leafy patch of jungle floor. Drak automatically had grabbed Ayanna as they fell, protecting her in his arms. When they fell safely, he opened his arms and Ayanna hoped out, thanking him profusely before looking around.

OOC: Sorry if I mucked this up.
IC:
A panting sound, laboured and painful emanated from the rustling foliage that grew along a small path. A small tremor shook the ground as a Digimon tumbled from behind the bushes and landing just around Drak and Ayanna. More panting came from the creature, and one could see that its eyes were bloodshot and judging from the gash upon its torso, they too, could deduce that it was heavily wounded. The eyes targeted the Palmon, and its mouth cracked open, mouthing the words 'help me'.
The small creature appeared to be a koala, but its body was a strange shade of brown. Aforementioned Digimon was a Phascomon, a Digimon with potential to grow into a formidable Belphemon. More inaudible words were spat out from its mouth as Phascomon inched himself closer to Ayanna. A groan shot out, with its paw raised. There seemed to be a crumpled up paper within its balled fist. Hmm, interesting indeed. "Hi there," Phascomon sighed, his cheerful personality showing despite being wounded. He took a deep breath.
Cleo Rania - January 18, 2008 09:51 PM (GMT)
OOC: I see no muck.
Palmon was the first to hear something out of the ordinary. While Drak rubbed his backside and cursed after falling to the ground and being landed on by his digimon, didn’t seem to get the fact that there was someone nearby. Ayanna yelped, getting her tamer’s attention, quickly.
“Ayanna, are you alright,” Drak said, trying to be a good tamer, even while in pain.
“Drak, there being a person of form near the two that we are.” Ayanna answered, then slid in front of her tamer, ready to protect him if needed. Thankfully, that was not the case. Well, thankfully for them. The creature that came out of the bushes along a path was very beaten up. Drak ell over again, both from shock and the small tremor that came with the entry of the weakened Phascomon.
Palmon was quick to rush to the aid of the fellow digimon. Drak held back for a moment. Maybe the digimon was faking. Ayanna read her tamer’s thoughts.
“The bear is bleeding. He cannot be of the photocopier.” Ayanna said, beckoning her tame rover. Drak got the basic gist of what his digimon said, and rushed over to Phascomon’s side. Drak, however, was more interested in the paper being held out to Ayanna, and quickly snatched it out of Phascomon’s paw and opened it up, curious as to what was inside.
“What,” began Ayanna, gathering her words. “Happened to yous?”
Koenjinn - January 19, 2008 07:42 AM (GMT)
Phascomon nodded weakly as Ayanna stated that he was not faking. He was in need of help, he needed attention so that whoever got the note could finish what he had took on. "..." Phascomon was silent as he contemplated Ayanna's question within his weakening mind. "Attacked," he responded simply, before continuing with his constant grabs at breathing. The koala then rolled over, back facing the ground, thus exposing the horrendous gash over his torso.
Meanwhile, the paper revealed itself to the Tamer as it opened with a crumpling sound. "If you are in possession of this paper, it means that you have agreed to take on this mission," it ran, "You are to find the Red Flower of Kiln and bring it to the track and hand it to me." It was just as such, simple and clear. Only thing was, Drak didn't (or did he?) know about the Red Flower of Kiln. Where was he to find it? How did it look like? One could only guess.
"Gorimon," finally a response came from the weak Phascomon. Perhaps it was a Gorimon that had struck him, leaving him as such? Yes, it must be it...
Cleo Rania - January 22, 2008 01:42 AM (GMT)
Ayanna looked at Phascomon, her eyes filling with tears. Why would anyone attack such a poor, innocent (at least seemingly) creature. Palmon looked at the gash. Without any real thought into what she was doing, Palmon grabbed a large leaf off a nearby tree. She hopped it wasn’t poisonous as she wrapped some around Phascomon’s belly, and propped him up, so he could breathe. But something puzzled her. She’d never heard of a Gorimon. Goblimon? Gokumon? She shook her head. It was probably better if they didn’t meet with the creature, and didn’t waste time speculating about it.
Drak looked at the paper, aghast. Taken on mission? What power did a piece of paper have? True, the paper could probably outwrestle Drak if it were sentient…. but he doubted that would happen. “Wha… what the fuck is a red flower of Kirin?” asked Drak, unsure how to say the simple world Kiln. Then he remembered how to say it. “Is this a a pot or vase or something? A kiln?”
Ayanna shot her tamer a glance. “NO! NO WATCH TO SEEK FOR RED VAUZE! HEALING OF BEAR! HEALING! OF!! BEAR!!!” Ayanna said, suddenly fuming. Drak could do nothing but stare at her in shock. In his month of knowing his digimon, he’d never seen her get so upset. Maybe something about injure digimon did this to her. Drak showed her the piece of paper, before she calmed down, and her flower-head turned from an angry crimson back to the usual pink. “Oh.” Ayanna turned to Phascomon. “If speaking you can do, what Gorimon need of Vauze?”
Koenjinn - January 22, 2008 11:36 AM (GMT)
Phascomon coughed as the leaf was placed on him. The sensation scolded him immensely, and the koala groaned in utmost pain as he struggled to throw off the plant that Ayanna had placed upon him. Phascomon sighed as the pain settled in his torso; the leaf wasn't any miraculous medicine, but within the depths of the jungle, there laid a plant which medicinal properties were equivalent to the average painkiller. The leaf was one of those from the plant. The pain no longer causing him trouble (but the gash still was), the small creature decided to answer Drak the best he could.
"Mud," Phascomon stated weakly, trying to explain further, but he halted himself. "...are you taking up...the mission or not?" he asked, finally deciding that he would not reveal further information to a third party if they were not interested in helping him in his assigned task. He winced slightly as his eardrums were hurt by the sheer voice of the Palmon; apparently she had something to pick with her Tamer. "He needs the flower," he responded with a small smile at Ayanna, trusting her far more than he trusted the human boy.
Cleo Rania - January 23, 2008 04:53 AM (GMT)
“Uh, sure, we’ll help.” Drak started, unsure how to talk to a wounded digimon. “I suppose gathering mud couldn’t hurt too much…though looked what happened to you,” Drak added as an after though. Then Drak turned o his Partner, whose temper had gone down once she saw the ‘bear’ hurt by her shrill voice, and leaned down to help him. “Ayanna, you’re right. We’ll help Phascomon first, and then find out about this… mud… flower.
Ayanna smiled, and leaned over to give him tamer a quick hug, before turning back to Phascomon, turning away from a momentarily dazed Drak. “Right-ness. So, how we shall to make you fell easier before embarking on office work?” Ayanna smiled sweetly. She was much more outgoing than her tamer, and it showed. Drak mentally thanked the digi-gods for giving him a partner that played to his weaknesses.
Koenjinn - January 25, 2008 02:02 PM (GMT)
OOC: Sorry Cleo-chan, I got lazy...
IC:
Upon the mention of the word 'mud', Phascomon's face crumpled up, whether in anger or frustration, it would be revealed soon enough. "Mud! That's the -ouch- third time I've heard that!" he gushed, slightly angered at the statement of Drak's. But he regained his composure; apparently the koala realized the errors of his ways, that is, causing himself even more pain with each exertion of fury he might make. He smiled at the followed-up statement, Phascomon was happy that he finally got someone who believed him, someone who wanted to help him (hopefully sincerely)!
"I suppose, get me some more leaves so I can show you the way?" said the bear in a low tone, masking a choke as he writhed from side to side. He tried to get up, which was a pretty arduous task, seeing as he had to use one hand to keep the leaf in place, and the other to lift himself upwards. All he needed was an extra hand to support his body by placing it on the tree trunk...
...but either way, he got up, and beamed at Ayanna and Drak.
Cleo Rania - January 26, 2008 02:17 AM (GMT)
OOC: As do I, Koen-chan. As do I.
Drak fell over into a nearby bush as the koala-creature exclaimed in anger. Well, Drak was rather weak, so it was an easy enough thing to do, but it caught Ayanna by suprise. She ran to help Drak, completely forgetting Phascomon for a moment. Drak pulled himself up with Ayanna's helped. Ayanna was whispering something quite fast, but stopped as soon as Drak got up. This only produced a quick glance and hurried "Thank you" from Drak.
Despite this, Ayanna and Drak smiled back at Phascomon. They didn't want to upset the bear any more, lest he rip his wounds. Drak then found himself feeling weird as Ayanna walked off to get the leaves Phascomon had asked for. During the moment Ayanna and Drak both smiled, it seemed their was a link of some sort. Like they could read one another's mind. Drak put his hand over his heart; he could swear he had felt it grow warm a second before.
Drak watched as Phascomon steadied himself against a tree. Drak tried to forget the probably imagined feeling of warmth, and concerntrated, for a moment, on his inability to have helpe dPhascomon. Once more, attention drifted as Palmon returned with an armful of large and small leaves, and put them in front of Phascomon, before waiting patiently next to Drak, who had leaned under another tree to avoid getting heatstroke.
Koenjinn - January 26, 2008 04:35 AM (GMT)
"Ooh, thank you!" Phascomon said as he scooped up a handful of the leaves and strung them together, but with difficulty. "Let us make haste and go onwards!" announced the koala with a grin. He scrambled about to find his footing, before grinning at Drak and Ayanna. "Oh yeah, before we head out, any questions?" he asked, glancing around as the bear smiled happily.
Phascomon placed another leaf on his wound, and continued, "Eh, be careful of fire cats, that's what gave me this wound!" He jabbed at a clump of foliage, at that particular moment, his droopy, sleepy eyes opened wide, showing his odd green eyes. "Last time I saw them, they were over there!" he exclaimed, the colour draining from his face at the very mention of them.
Them? So there were more than one 'fire cat' as Phascomon termed it, and thus, this mission was not going to be a simple one. The koala hopped around on alternating feet as he awaited a response from the Palmon and her Tamer partner.
Cleo Rania - February 3, 2008 10:05 PM (GMT)
Ayanna grinned. Her, er, ‘patient’ was growing more powerful. Phascomon had become healed from her help after all, so it was quite a boon to her ego. Drak was less sure. He still doubted Phascomon himself would hurt Ayanna or himself, but what about out in the wilderness? And the thing that hurt Phascomon?
“Fire… cats…” Ayanna and Drak said simultaneously. Drak, knowing only a small bit about digimon, couldn’t recollect a feline digimon made of fire. All he could really name were Renamon and Gatomon, for reasons he’d be uncomfortable to expose. Ayanna, only a sapling, didn’t know much of other digimon either, and could only hope fire cats wouldn’t cause as much damage to her tamer and herself as Phascomon here. 3 was better than a bear, after all… right? Ayanna stood her ground. It was settled in her mind, no fire cat, or fire cats were going to stop her with the vase/clay/flower thingy.
“Yes, one question,” Drak couldn’t help himself from saying. Ayanna shot him a glance. So far, it appeared as thought Phascomon would respond angrily to anything asked by the tamer pair. But Drak had to try. “Why are you on a mission? What is this mission? And why are digimon, or I assume they’re digimon, attacking you? Oh… maybe that was more than one question.” Drak looked around while saying this, keeping his eyes on the spot Phascomon had mentioned seeing the flaming felines earlier.
Koenjinn - February 4, 2008 08:10 AM (GMT)
"Yeah, fire cats!" Phascomon said as he looked around uneasily. "You don't want to get close to them," he cautioned, sniffing the air (not that his sense of smell was top notch). "Um, I guess I don't want to get close to other larger beings..." said Phascomon as his voice trailed off, dripping away into the mud below them. Mist rose around them as the sun above them grew brighter.
Phascomon grinned. "Shoot!" he said aloud, before wincing and pressing the leaf closer to his torso. "...shoot," said the koala again, this time in a lower voice. As the rapid-fire of questions were asked by Drak, Phascomon's sharp mind processed the questions and answers simultaneously. "I am on this mission because I was asked to; this mission is to find the Red Flower of Kiln; I do not know why; it's okay, because sometimes you need to get it all out," finished the Phascomon as he grinned at the Tamer-Partner combination before him.
"Anything else?" he said cheerfully, hugging the leaf closer to him as he smelt its smell. Mm, nice. "Um, I don't think they'll be there anymore..." Phascomon said, but his voice gave it away -- he was still uncertain about their whereabouts.
Cleo Rania - February 17, 2008 04:03 AM (GMT)
Ayanna and Drak looked at one another again. Usually, when scared, Drak would scoop up his 20-pound cat, Ginger, and hold her to his chest (though you’d never get him to admit this). However, Ayanna weighed too much, so Drak just moved in closer to her. Ayanna smiled but kept her mouth shut, to listen to the Phascomon guide.
Drak suddenly broke the formation he had made just a moment ago to rush over to Phascomon. Drak was happy to have learned the answers, but unhappy to see that it may have caused Phascomon some pain. Drak reached into his pocket to grab a small chocolate bar and unwrap it before presenting it to Phascomon.
“Take some chocolate, it tastes good and some people say it helps pain,” Drak said, unsure whether or not that last part was true. As long a she could keep his mind off the fire-cats, he’d be happy. “Where can we find this red Kiln, and, more importantly, is there a place we can take you, a shelter?”
“Drak-ee! What of the cannon? Mud before nursing, Drak-ee!”Ayanna butted in.. Drak looked from Phascomon to Ayanna. Surely getting Phascomon – and himself- out of danger could not hurt their mission too much?
“Phascomon, we should go somewhere safe before doing this quest. But it’s your choice.” Drak said, to Ayanna’s anger. She began stomping the ground and throwing random seeds at random bushes, without thinking of the consequences. After living in n apartment for a month, and then suddenly moving to her ‘homeland’, she was edgy and wanted action.
Koenjinn - February 19, 2008 11:00 AM (GMT)
"Cocoa?" Phascomon said, taking a look at the bar of brown substance Drak was offering to him. "Actually, I forgot to mention that Kiln is a Digimon," the koala said, placing an idle finger upon his chin wistfully. As Drak proposed something, Phascomon grinned and shook his head. "The mission comes first," said the Digimon loyally, and with a wince.
As Ayanna made her statement, Phascomon glanced around, truly clueless. "...cannon? What cannon?" he asked, apparently bewildered at the Palmon's words. "Mud before nursing? Thanks, Drak," he said, turning back to the Tamer and accepting the chocolate. Phascomon then broke it up into a few smaller bars and handed them around to the duo. "Don't get angry, miss, have a chocolate," the bear-like creature said, ducking as well as groaning while he tried moving away from the seeds.
"Oof," Phascomon noted dully as he was hit in the arm by one of Ayanna's seeds.
Cleo Rania - February 22, 2008 06:06 PM (GMT)
“By cannon, Ayanna means ‘mission’.” Drak said, translating for her digimon partner. While Drak was quite used to people with accents and different ways of speaking then himself, Drak was surprised that he knew his digimon’s jumble so easily. Maybe that was partnership coming in. Wait… he needed to calm Ayanna down and ask if that was what she meant before assuming that he actually had a clue what Ayanna babbled about.
Ayanna had since calmed down and taken a bite of chocolate once she realized that the mission would be continued. She Nodded to Drak, happy to know her partner was not short of surprises. “Yes, Miss-E-un. That what Ayanna had meaningness. A cannon blows and creates chaos, a mission also involve-ed with wartimesingness. Word connections.” Ayanna then saw she had hurt Phascomon, and rushed over to the injured digimon and gave it a big hug. She couldn’t help feeling as if she were hugging a bleeding, oversized teddy bear that grumbled. “Ayanna sorry, but it is fun to small round things throw. Ayanna better behaved now.”
“You’re pretty banged up, but alright.’ Drak said to Phascomon, before taking a separate chocolate bar from his pocket, and trying to hide his greed from the two digimon by turning around, and pretending to contemplate the situation.
“Yeah, Ayanna, you’re better… but we have both Fire-cats and a Kiln to deal with.” Drak thought for a moment. They’d get to the Kiln faster if Phascomon weren’t injured…
“Ayanna, can you carry Phascomon?” Drak found himself asking. Sure, Phascomon had been man handled by the dup a lot already, but a little more couldn’t hurt. Besides, Ayanna wounld be less likely to throw seeds at Phascomon if she was supporting his weight… and he kneew by now she was pretty strong.
Ayanna nodded her head vigorously and turned to Phascomon, breaking her momentary embrace.
Koenjinn - February 28, 2008 02:23 PM (GMT)
"Got your drift," Phascomon grinned in response. Ayanna's odd way of talking was enchanting, cute, to a certain extent. The koala shook his head good-naturedly before looking at the Palmon taking a bite out of the bar of chocolates from Drak. "...I guess I can say I understand," the Digimon continued, at a loss for words this time, for the Palmon's words confounded him. Well, he was a bit on the dumb side to begin with, so all was well.
He blushed as Ayanna engulfed him within a big hug. The wounded Digimon growled (like a teddy bear would when pressed in the tummy) warmly. It was his first time that someone hugged him. "I hope so, thanks, Ayanna," grinned Phascomon, "I'm Phyl. I can't believe I forgot about my name." Phascomon, no, Phyl shrugged as he nodded at Drak's statement. "Got that right, you did."
"Kiln's a client. His Red Flower got missing and I've to find it, actually," Phyl clarified with a gaze towards a random clearing opening somewhere...there. Just there. "But if you ask about fire-cats, I really don't know what they are." When the question about Ayanna carrying him surfaced, Phyl seemed rather shy and uneasy. "Alright, if that is what you wish," stated Phyl.
Cleo Rania - March 8, 2008 03:56 AM (GMT)
“Fphil will now be my Teddy Bear,” Ayanna said, laughing and full of joy. Drak was quick to tell Phyl that meant she considered him a friend. “Names not important as much as friendship,” Ayanna said slowly, before gently lifting Phyl onto her back, with Drak not bothering to translate, and rolling his eyes over his partner sudden mood swings.
“Client… can I ask what you mean by that?” Drak asked. It seemed the human had a bountiful amount of questions. Drak took and bite of chocolate, gave more to Ayanna, then started walking, waiting for Phyl’s answer.
Ayanna’s mind, however, was re-iterating everything she’d learned. So, Kiln was a client, and the Red Flower was something to be found… a red flower, presumably, but one never knew. Ayanna gently used her vines to help shift Phyl’s weight off her should, and looked n the distance. It was getting darker, and they only knew a slight direction to head to. Maybe the danger was just about to begin. Ayanna started wobbling behind Drak, who had already begun traveling towards Phascomon’s brief case.
Koenjinn - March 8, 2008 04:59 AM (GMT)
"Teddy... okay, Aya," grinned Phyl as he looked at Drak, thanking him for the explanation before he suddenly burst out with an unorthodox response. "That's right, friendship is important," agreed the Phascomon as he looked at Ayanna. She definitely was right, friendship was more important than anything.
The koala blinked while he contemplated Drak's question. "Well, I'm part of a business which finds lost things," he explained while Ayanna carried him, "so technically I'm the agent and the one who seeks our services are clients, are they not?" The Phascomon nodded wordlessly as a means of saying thank you to Drak who had picked up his briefcase.
Cleo Rania - March 23, 2008 02:09 AM (GMT)
“Delivery... sounds fun. Sounds like Futurama. I mean, a TV show back on earth. Er, forget I said anything.” Said Drak, slightly embarrassed. He didn’t want o mention friendship.. after all, he was never really ‘friends’ with anyone. Drak was tempted to open the briefcase, but decided not to.
“Sounds good, and friends happy,” Ayanna mused, “But clients of Kiln need.. well, where is growing bud? Ayanna means, where is Crimson flower?” Ahead, yes, but how much of the ahead?”
“Yes, how much farther? And will you need use to bring you back home, once we get our ‘flower’? After all, your leg looks pretty bad, and we don’t have much else to do, honestly.”
Koenjinn - April 12, 2008 04:23 AM (GMT)
"O...kay," Phyl grunted at Drak's rather odd statement. He didn't know what to make of it, since it involved some kind of Futurama, and a show. "Sounds interesting, at any rate!" he added brightly, and nodded exuberantly.
But at Ayanna's question, he was stumped. "Yes, they do," the Phascomon replied at first, and then stopped. How far was it? He didn't know. "I suppose it just means that we find the flower and deliver it to Kiln," the koala said slowly, "who is at HQ."
"It's in this jungle, at any rate. And you don't have to worry about me...I'm fine," Phyl hurriedly added, "and without wasting more time, let's move." He grinned at both Drak and Ayanna.
Cleo - April 15, 2008 02:29 AM (GMT)
Drak and Ayanna shared steady glances for half a moment, hoping the now-bubbly Phyl wouldn’t notice. It was true they group had spent a fair amount of time talking, and little traveling. And the farther they got, the less they’d need to worry about ‘firecats.’ Drak took a soda out of his backpack, sipped it, and then quietly began walking towards where Phyl had earlier pointed.
Ayanna re-adjusted Phyl on her back so he would be more comfortable, and set off beside her tamer, while taking a few sips from the soda he offered her. Ayanna let out a small purr as the oddly sweet liquid entered her lips, but said nothing. They were going to find the flower.
Koenjinn - April 20, 2008 09:32 AM (GMT)
"Hello, friends," a voice drawled, as padded footsteps paved its entrance to the very spot where Phyl, Drak and Ayanna were in. "I believe that you have my prisoner right there, in your arms, Palmon," it said courteously, a smile dotting its features. It was precisely what the Phascomon had previously described it to be: a fire cat, or rather, a Lynxmon.
The lynx Digimon circled the trio, hissing at the sight of the koala. "You escaped me once, but you will not escape my claws a second time!" she said, the smile on her face losing every square inch of mock friendliness, and reformed into pure fury. Without further warning, she pounced forwards, claws extended, just to swipe at vulnerable Phyl.
Phyl's eyes widened when he saw the Lynxmon lunging for him. "Aya! Look out!" he shouted, before rolling off her hands (with a grimace and a rather loud whimper) and landing on the ground, sprawled on his stomach. "Aya...Drak...it's her," the Phascomon said, fear creeping into his mind, slowly, but surely.
Lynxmon yawned. "Do tell me, Phascomon, where the flower is," she said, feline grace surging through her limbs as she scaled a nearby tree to survey them three from the top of it. "I believe I need it more than your Kiln does," the lynx purred, batting her eyelids at the koala.
And Emerald is so near...yet so far... the Phascomon thought wistfully.
Cleo - April 25, 2008 02:11 AM (GMT)
“Whomever that voice belongs to, it’s probably not our friend,” Drak said, sighing before quickly turning around. Both he and Ayanna gasped when they saw the fire-cat. The creatures was bigger then Drak, and made of fire – something Ayanna, a plant type, would probably be ill-equipped against, if Drak’s wasted years of pokemon taught him anything.
“Your prisoner, Mrs. polite cattymon?” Palmon gripped onto Phyl tighter, well, until the cattymon swiped at her and Phascomon, and Phyl threw herself off her back.
“They don’t cover this in tamer school… or they probably wouldn’t, if there was one.” Drak mumbled, quickly rushing over to Phyl, to both check him and shield the digimon with his body. It was an odd idea, but now, in a way, Phyl was Drka and Ayanna’s very own client, and they needed to help him no matter what – even if the Fire cat had very, VERY sharp, pointy teeth.
“Why Catmon need red flower? Why? Why hurt? Where morals? WH-YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE!” Wailed Ayanna towards the cat, safely out of reach in the tree.
Koenjinn - May 1, 2008 06:02 AM (GMT)
"Name's Lynxmon, not some Catmon - that's far too generic, Palmon," sneered the feline as she batted her eyelids. "And I think I spot the Red Flower, fellow friends. I shall be back, soon..." she hissed, before jumping off the tree and bounding off with cat-like reflexes.
Phyl swore under his breath before getting up. "Double hurry, Aya, Drak!" he shouted (with a grimace and a pang of regret) then began heading after Lynxmon. If only he was quick enough, then he'd be able to catch up the cat Digimon, and possibly snag the Red Flower right under her nose.
Meanwhile, Lynxmon hurried. She had not seen the Red Flower that they were looking for; she had just said so, since she thought at the Phascomon would fall straight into her trap. Now all she should do would be get back to her hideout, and request help from her friends...
"Now, where did the Lynxmon go?" Phyl wondered aloud, standing at a fork in the path. There were footsteps, or rather, paw prints on both routes. He scratched his head and turned back to where Ayanna and Drak were, a sweat-drop forming on his head. "Eheh," he said weakly.
Cleo - May 4, 2008 12:42 AM (GMT)
"Lynxmon," repeated Drak airily. Sure, the digimon was indeed feline... but the only time Drak could imagine a lynx, or, indeed, any big cat on fire was in a circus or as a logo for a high school football team. Therefore, Drak had no idea how to handle the situation
"Drakkie! Find legend-of-zelda-mon!" Palmon said, quite caught off guard by the Lynxmon's sudden disappearance. "And Phyl! Stop! Wound geet worsererer." With that, Ayanna attmepted to pick Phyl up once more, while giving Drak a nod towards Lynxmon's foot prints.
"I guess I'll follow the left path. You guys go for the right. It's alright, I'll be okay." Drak said, running towards said path. Out of all possible options, it was the last thing he wanted to do, but he didn't want to imagne how Ayanna would managle the english languge while scolding him for not listening. Drak ran about average for a human, so there was little chance he'd be able to stop Lynxmon before she got to the flower, or escape her wihtthout his digimon. Drak grimaced. His first adventure, and he'd probably screwed it up, and would probably get killed in the process. Oh bugger.
"Maybe Drakkie should've waited for group decision before acting. Drakkie stupid," Ayanna sighed.
Koenjinn - May 4, 2008 07:30 AM (GMT)
Lynxmon ran quickly, for she had heard footsteps behind her. She didn't know whose steps it was, but it wasn't good for her plans. Apparently her friends had moved from their previous location, and thus, she wouldn't be able to contact them. Howling for them seemed like a dead giveaway at the moment, which of course, was stupid, and completely betrayed her natural intelligence.
Phyl smiled at Ayanna. "True, he does seem a little stupid," the Phascomon admitted, but did not fight back when the Palmon picked him up. "Let's head on," the koala said.
Meanwhile, the lynx growled, then headed back up the path towards Drak. Uh-oh.
Cleo - May 5, 2008 09:50 PM (GMT)
Palmon ran through the Jungle, hoopping Drak would be okay. She would keep running until she hit a dead end, or someone told her to stop. For a plant, she was a suprisingly fast runner.
Drak kept running, suddenly realizing the pointlessnes of his venture.
"What if the cat find me before I find her... oh shit."
As luck would have it, Drak found the Lynxmon first, though that wasn't exactly a blessing of any sort. Time to think fast. That howing was far enough away to give him time to.. leap into the bushes! And leap he did, completely hiding himself from the oncoming Lynx digimon. He could've stopped there, but what wa the fun - or safety - of that.
"LYNXMON!" Boomed Drak in what he tried to make a dark, evil, and frightening voice. "LEAVE NOW, OR I SHALL EAT YOU!"
Koenjinn - May 8, 2008 10:06 AM (GMT)
Sadly, Lynxmon had a nose. And even a Chuumon knows what that means. "I can smell you..." she hissed, as she pawed at the bushes to spread them apart. Smirking, Lynxmon looked into Drak's eyes. "Beautiful eyes you've got, dear," she stated as she moved in closer, her hot breath washing around the small patch before her.
-------
Phyl blinked. "Hey, Aya. This would be a dead end," he said, then looked the Palmon's way. "We should head back - no, cut straight through," the Phascomon suggested as he smiled at Ayanna, before cutting at the foliage to cut a way through it. To tell the truth, his claws were made for climbing and latching, and not for cutting. So...well...one would get the idea that it was completely useless.
Like pouring water into the sea.
Cleo - May 9, 2008 11:55 PM (GMT)
"Erm... you too. A lovely shade of gold. And the fire just brings it out spectacularly.... Oh Merde...."
Drak's eyes gazed into Lynxmon's. he felt his color slowly draining from, him.
"You... you wouldn't eat a guy with glasses on, would yah?" The sharp teeth proturding for the fire cat's mouth proved Drak probably wrong. With a quick glance ot the left, Drak ran through the bushes, and through the jungle for his life.
Ayanna shrugged
"Lynxmon didn't come through here. We go back other way and find Drakkie."
Ayanna ran as fast as her legs could take her (and Phyl) to the other patn.
"AYANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNA!"
"Drakkie yells now?" Ayanna looked down the other path. Drak was barreling down it as though his pants were on fire.
Koenjinn - May 10, 2008 03:18 AM (GMT)
OOC: Some godmodding involved, as in, pushing people away.
IC:
Lynxmon blushed. It was the first time that a male praised her this way. "Oh...you shouldn't..." she began to state, but when Drak hurriedly said something else, that brought her back to the world with a bump. "Yowr!" she roared, trying to swipe at Drak with her claws.
"Thermal Mane!" A furious bout of flames shot out from her regal mane, and heading towards Drak's...pants. Just then he began to run, and she chased after him -
Phyl panted as he caught up to the Palmon, and saw Lynxmon. With flames. Bursting. After their heads. Not good. He hurriedly pushed Ayanna away, then Drak as he came closer. The flames then licked his body, before causing him to writhe and shriek out of pure pain.
Lynxmon smirked, before lunging for Ayanna. "Wild Nail Rush!"
Cleo - May 12, 2008 01:51 AM (GMT)
(Probably some god modding on my part, will change if asked)
"Pyhl!" Ayanna and Drak both screamed loudly. Despite their poor circumstances, Drak and Aynna were devastated as their short-term friend was going through the fire.
"Oh noes! Catmon!" Ayanna soon had to worry about herself as the Lynxmon leaped against her, nails exposed.
"Digi-modify!" Extreme Patience!"
Ayanna rolled out from under Lynxmon's encroaching claws, as Drak rummaged through his back pack.
"Lynxmon, let's talk this through, like civilized.. things. Look, your eyes are beautiful, I wasn't lying. Now relax and let's get this settled?" Drak threw a bag of cheese nips at the ground Lynxmon was approaching, then rushed with Ayanna's to Phyl's aid.
Aynna and Drka threw dirt on the fire surronding Phyl’ s body, trying to kill the flame.
OOC:
Name: Extreme Patience
Number: R09
Type: Single Target
Duration: 2 Turns
Effect: Slows down the opponent to such an extreme that it buys the user’s Digimon time to regenerate fifteen points of health per turn. The opponent returns to normal speed after being attacked once, or after two turns are up (whichever comes first).
Koenjinn - May 19, 2008 06:54 AM (GMT)
Lynxmon purred when Drak gave her another nice compliment. Due to Extreme Patience's effect, her purring sounded really long. Really, really long. She then slowly made her way over to Drak and brushed against him with her body with perfectly good intentions (but...it would be highly unlikely that Drak would think it good).
When the fire was quelled by the 'incoming onslaught' of dirt, in its place laid a battered, bruised, and squirming Phascomon. He seemed oddly twitchy as he looked at the Jungle. Maybe it was an effect of overheating. Yeah. Should be it.
Cleo - May 20, 2008 08:31 PM (GMT)
"And what a nice purr, eh Drakkie?" Ayanna said, in a joking tone. Best to lighten up the mood - for it could be their last. Ayanna felt jealous as the fire cat brushed against her tamer, but decided it would be useless to try to get the fire cat away, even if Drak was shooting her scared looks.
"Yes... l-l-let's talk about things. Ayanna, go get Phyl.. or go find some water...."
Ayanna looked around and shrugged.
"This is not my house, water is not one item I can find."
"Oh, right. If only digimon had boy scouts. Lnyxmon, is there water we can get for our friend... and if he's our friend and you're our friend, we're all friends, right, right?" Drak smiled. He had to play it cool.
Koenjinn - May 28, 2008 12:29 PM (GMT)
Lynxmon beamed. "Of course," she said, smiling brightly at the Tamer. She then gently tapped him, before beckoning for him to follow her to the water source. Her mind wasn't that clouded so that she would head to the source herself. At least, by having Drak by her side, she still has a chance of getting her paws on the be-yoo-ti-ful Red Flower.
Phyl blinked as he looked around. It certainly was an odd turn of events. "Okay," the Phascomon piped out, before dropping his tone to a very, very low one, "we can either pounce her and save Drak now, Aya, or just go ahead and hope she comes back with something that isn't your Tamer's dead body."
Cleo - May 30, 2008 08:04 PM (GMT)
"Dead... Drakkie?" Ayanna shivered. While the concept of dead wasn't exactly honed into her brain, she knew dead was not a ocndition that would make someone happy, usually. Drak lookeed at Ayanna and her back. Phyl would porbbly be safe here, for now... Ayanna put some leaves next to him, if he wished to hide.
"I'm going with Drakkie. We'll be back soon...." Ayanna sped over to Drak, who gave odd glances to Lynxmon. She was firghtening, but if he played his cards right, maybe they needn't have to resort to violence again.
"Alright, let;s get the water."
Koenjinn - May 31, 2008 02:22 PM (GMT)
Lynxmon nodded. "Hey, Flora, I'm not going to mutilate your human or something, okay?" the cat Digimon stated, sounding vaguely irritated at her. Despite wanting to concentrate on her journey towards the water source, she continued to look at Ayanna with repeated glances, since she wasn't sure if she was able to trust her.
Phyl looked at the party of three that was rapidly growing smaller. He could only hope that Lynxmon didn't just...slash them. Like slasher movies. They always led the victims into the bushes, then attempt to scare the audience with dead bodies hanging from trees.
He shivered.
Cleo - June 1, 2008 03:43 AM (GMT)
"Kitteh," Ayanna said, also agitated. "My tamer, my rules."
Drak shrugged. "She means she will stick to me no matter what happens. Even if we part for awhile, it's best if we're here together for, er, uh... sentimental reasons. She doesn’t think you’re going to hurt us…. Anyway, don't worry, she... won't do anything to embarrass us." Drak found himself at a loss of words for the conversation. There was a possibility he could die any second, yet he still was able to try to defend his digimon as though he were making excuses on why he hadn't handed in his homework.
Ayanna kept herself from growling. Maybe if kitty was trusted by Drak, she could trust her as well. Besides, it was the only way to get water for Phyl.
“Why do you want the red kiln,” Drak finally asked. Curiosity overode his sense.
Koenjinn - June 2, 2008 02:13 AM (GMT)
"Your Tamer, his life," Lynxmon retorted, glaring at the Palmon. However, her gaze softened when Drak explained himself. "Fine," she hissed, casually batting her claws towards Ayanna. Her fiery mane billowed behind her as she continued to walk, finally stopping beside a small stream.
The cat raised an eyebrow. Why did she want the Kiln? "Simple. It just maintains the peace in my community," she explained.
So...that meant that Lynxmon wasn't bad at heart. She just wanted it for the greater good, or whatever that meant.
Cleo - June 2, 2008 02:20 AM (GMT)
Ayanna jumped away and stayed behind Drak's legs. But she was comforted as they reached the stream. As Drak took an empty water bottle out of his backpack and filled it with stream water, he listened carefully to the Lynxmon's explanation.
"Well... I guess that's mroe noble than delivering it to an unknown source. But I still want Phyl's perspective on this. Does that sound alright, Lynxmon>," Drak asked, getting up off the ground and closing the bottle.
Koenjinn - June 2, 2008 02:27 AM (GMT)
"It's fine..." Lynxmon said, sighing and dipping a paw into the water. "Let's head back." She then turned around, brushing through foliage and vines, before heading back towards the original spot where Phyl was.
~time skips~
Phyl was starting to get a little worried as to where Drak and Ayanna were. He strained his neck to see where they were, and felt certain relief when he saw their figure slowly coming around the bend.
"Aya! Drak! Lynxie!" he called out, waving his hands, as if they didn't know where he was. Well, one couldn't blame him, seeing as he was sitting down and almost blended in together with the mud and grime.
