Alright the miko Kikyo whom had spent her life guarding the Shikon no tama has been brought back from the dead. Though in the ritual of bringing back the miko from the dead the Shikon no Tama has been shattered; going throughout time and place. You now can find shards of the jewel anywhere.

1. No power playing. Let’s face it, if you’re a serious Role player you’ve power played at one point or another. But, it’s annoying both to the person you’re role playing with and to the staff that has to hear their bitching. So, it’s a judgment call on your part. A good rule of thumb to follow is: If you have to ask yourself if this isn’t fair to the other player, chances are, it isn’t.
2. Absolutely no Godmodding. Godmodding, for those who aren’t aware, is when you control another person’s character. Big no no in role playing. Nothing annoys me more than god modding. 3. Each post is to be at least three paragraphs(15-20 sentences) long. Yes, one of those paragraphs can purely be dialogue. So, if you come from a site that allows you to do one sentence posts, I will eat you alive. That doesn’t mean fill your post with fluff (like describing your character’s nose for an entire paragraph). Description is a hard thing in posts: too little is definitely not enough, but too much is definitely too much. Use that big thing attached to your neck. 4. Make your posts somewhat interesting so that we don‘t have to hear about how no one will RP with you. Yes, I know, not every topic can have a high speed chase through a city followed by an intense and gory fight with a hot and steamy love scene at the end of the day, but c’mon! Think of your character and surroundings. It’s difficult for some people to start a topic, but I’m still a big sucker for a post that ends with someone bumping into some anonymous person in a crowded area. It’s a classic and it works when you’re trying to attract other characters. Or, if that’s too cutesy for you, you’ll never know the power of having your character freak out and scream “@#%$ YOU!” into a crowd. That’s bound to attract someone into kicking your ass. 5. Any significant storyline that alters the site storyline, the storyline going on at the time, or the landscape dramatically (as in destroying an entire city block or building) has to be approved by a staff member. We don’t bite (hard) and, hell, if it’s interesting we may make it a site wide storyline. Kudos for you. Huzzah! 6. Respect the staff. They have the last say on all matters, so do not argue with a decision they make. Along with this I suppose I should put, do not bother any member of staff to look at your application or request a million times. It’s okay to ask once or pleasantly remind them after a few days of your posting it, but don’t harass them! Chances are, if they haven’t gotten to you it’s because they’re dealing with other things. They’ll get to you A.S.A.P, so just relax, have a cup of tea and a biscuit, and take your medication buddy. 7. No rape, no excessive drug usage; just say no children. I know these things happen in real life, but, hey, this isn’t real life. I don’t want to read anything that has this crap in it and neither does anyone else. 8. This site is rated R. I hope you’re mature enough to deal with a few more adult themes (damn all those hormones). However, if your feelings *cough* ‘run away’ with you, for the love of Bob, PLEASE PUT A WARNING AT THE TOP OF YOUR TOPIC IN THE SUBJECT HEADER! Not everyone wants to know how far so-and-so’s tongue went down what’s-her-name’s throat. Geez. 10. Follow the character application. When it asks “Did you read the rules?” put “HUFFAH!”. Basically, it’s just my way of making sure you actually read these rules. 11. For your character to remain active you must post at least twice a week. I know a lot of people who post everyday, at least 10 times a day, and would do it more if they could stay online. Thus, if you get involved in an RP with a person like this, they’ll be severely pissed off if you go missing for an extended period of time without warning. Plus, you’ll get behind in the mini and major Role Plays. 12. Be aware that all rules are subject to change as problems arise. 13. Most important rule of all, have fun! That's what we're all here for, right? |
