Title: Is the GTA series dieing?
Description: Did it reach its peak at VC-SA?

I dunno, but is it me or has GTA lost alot of fans and supporters. Nobody seems to be interested in GTAs anymore. And having alot more competition from other games than ever doesn't help.
With new games racking up ever month, and gamers wanting something new, is GTA really dieing?
One thing that suprised me was Saints Row. That was on awesome game, better than any GTA game I've played before. The graphics were totally amazing (especially for a game with that much depth) and it had tons of stuff to do. It had new things and the same old things we love. It even had the one main thing we always wanted in GTA: ONLINE PLAY.
Saints Row did sell quite a bit, but it was definately no competition for the game charts. Not even for the Xbox 360 charts. I thought it would go straight to #1 on atleast one chart, but Saints Row just didn't make it. It wasn't the success I thought it would be, and frankly what the game critics thought it would be. Even with tons of downloadable extras for it (and they're seriously good ones), it still doesn't sell like you'd think it would.
This made me say "Are people actually bored of GTA style games, or are they just not buying it cos it doesn't say "Grand Theft Auto" on the box?" I highly doubt it's the second option.
Personally, I don't really think it's dieing, but I do think it's lost alot of fans and supporters to other games (I'm not talking about GTA copies like Getaway).
What do you think?

You got captured by a GTA copycat wannabe. GTA has lost some attention since Vice City and San Andreas but it surely isn't dying.

No...I just said Saints Row is still a kick ass game. When GTA4 comes out, it's gonna blow it away.

The only problems with gta is that it should have cooler cars, more views, able to change weapons in a car, rob places, and to drag race.

That's personal problems.
I think the things that can be done are graphics, framerate(?), better storyline and more varied missions instead of doing random missions at random times, then every now and again you have the mission which is actually needed for the storyline.

Sorry to say it guys but yes.
Not saying right away but after a long time of GTA 4'5'6'7 ect by about 8 it would be predicible and u would know what would happen strait away and people would be into other games and GTA would fad away and nobody would notice exccept true fans like me.
