Dote, Grandta, Who put 2.80+ Kernal access on their wishlist?
Mathleieth (sp? Sorry...) over on QJ and IRC just confirmed that there is a kernal exploit for 2.80-3.03. UNFORTUNATELY... There is no exploit to use homebrew yet. So keep waiting guys.. Him and D_A are both probably are working on a downgrader already! So all we need is a usermode exploit and there we are!

this will currently only work on a 2.8, but once homebrew is available on 2.81+ it MAY be possible on those firmwares.
so right now 2.8 may get a downgrader, but 2.81+ has no use of this, and it working on higher firmware is just a theory right now.

nope.

The flaw that enables this on 2.80 (as per Ryoko no Usagi's explanation) can also be seen in the code on 3.02 (and probably 3.03 too, I didn't check). Therefore the bug is still present at least up to 3.02, and should be usable in future (once we get a user-mode foothold on 2.81+). |
