So i use Cheat sync on firmware 2.6(i think?) for GTA LS. Today i bought some new games for my psp and in order to play them i MUST update my firmware to 2.8. So if i update i wont be able to use the cheat sync anymore, but if i dont update i cant play my new games!!! What do i do??

Downgrade to 1.5 and then use the custom firmware to use 2.8 games. But be warned firmware 2.8 so far is not downgrade able so you could never use the CDs again!

That did not make any Sense. Ill just upgrade my psp to 2.8 and play my games and never use cheat sync again(shame, it was so fun too)

If you update to 2.80 you will never be able to use CS again, until they find a downgrader for it...which is a long way off.

Except for a few games, you should be able to play 2.8+ games on Dark_AleX's Custom Firmware 2.71 SE-B". It is a Customized firmware allowing you to play games that require 2.80 while staying on 2.71. Also, with 2.71 or 2.71 SE-B" you can always downgrade if you dont like it.

I said use the 2.6 downgrader that goes to 1.5 then with 1.5 you can use a program that lets you choose your firmware and you can use 1.5 to 2.8. Use google to find the stuff.

Its easier to use the 2.71 Generic Downgrader. QJ Hosts all the files, as none of them are illegal.

So your saying use "Dark_AleX's Custom Firmware 2.71 SE-B" and i will be able to play most 2.8 games and still use the Cheat sync?
