Dark_Alex's is the one I have. (for 1.5, not 2.71 se-a/B)
it allows for 1.0 eboots to be launched. it allows for the 1.5 corrupt icons to be hidden, it has the option to remove the coldboot screen (disabling auto-umd booting) and t has recovery mode.
I've been using it for a while now, and the changes are small but effective.

2 questions Vette..
1.I've never seen a 1.0 eboot..even though i've been using homebrew for some time..whats the differnce?
2. Is it hard installing it? Any chance of bricking?
Magical Trevor - October 27, 2006 11:51 AM (GMT)
of course theres a chance of bricking...

any firmware update will flash your PSP unless its on Devhook or MPH's Firmware loader etc.
A 1.00 EBOOT is much like a 1.50 one except it is just a single folder, and not two with one having a % at the end. There are maybe some other differences I dont know about since I've never been on 1.00 so correct me if im wrong.

2.71 SE-B is the best.
Isos directly from the game menu in the xmb.
andrewtr89 - October 27, 2006 05:40 PM (GMT)
I updated from 1.5 to SE-A to SE-B. I could'nt run my backed up ISO's from the XMB: It said "Game could not be started" also some homebrew (Including Devhook, and Fileassistant) didnt work using the 2.71 Kernel- only the 1.5 kernel. I DG'ed back to 1.5 which literally took less then 2 minutes thanks to the recovery mode. Im going to update back to SE-B whenthe problem is fixed-other users have reported the same thing.
Waterbottle - October 27, 2006 05:44 PM (GMT)
if the homebrew didn't work with 2.71 kernel then it might be an idea to use the 1.50 kernel instead? (game150 instead of GAME). also about the isos, did you put them in the iso folder?
also an update has been released

it should work with pspersonalize, but I suggest using x-flash for editing the firmware. and x-flash can also install the custom firmware I use, and configure it right inside the program.

yeah, thats an O.K. CF, i like harleyg's cf v.2, dual boot firmware, can load last used devhook firmware, or 1.5, and has the same things as the one in xflash

but I don't need to be able to boot into2.71. I like changing settings in devhook before I start it. plus, I heard harleyg's has bricked a bunch of psp's and the buttons to actually start the psp how you would like it are a little ridiculous.

thanks alot vette! this i really cool i love not having to take to stupid game out of the disc tray every time i start up the psp and don't want to go to the game!
thanks!
xFinch713x - October 28, 2006 07:56 PM (GMT)
well vette, you can change it, and you can boot any homebrew game with it, so if i want to boot IR Shell, i hold X, ir shell boots up, if i want to use devhook, i either put the WLAN switch down, or i run from menu, either way i like it more, you have your oppinion, i have mine
