Use align's

chad1416 - March 15, 2008 06:00 AM (GMT)
well, i have it aligned in the center, what would i do to get it centered vertically?

xFinch713x - March 17, 2008 05:22 AM (GMT)
<"table or tr or td" valign=middle>

that would align it to the vertical center, which alot of the time just looks stupid. i think top or bottom looks best. il show you my "table" site that we're making in class. first real project for the class (web design). its on our favorite band and we have to make a style sheet and whatever, its pretty fun. using css to define tables. ahh, il get a screen shot and post it for you.

and for spacing things i prefer to use <br> (i might be misunderstanding what you are asking :-/)

I just recently had a new website project and my god damned website wouldn't get pictures for Firefox. My firefox browser would not fucking read the pictures it was so weird. Im having a lot of problems with firefox lately.

well, you answered how to align vertically but to align it to the top, would i just put top instead of middle?

<tr valign=top>

you are correct, and you could use bottom too. il get the pictures of mine tomorrow. i think i lost my flash drive :(

edit: nvm, found it. stupid me. here are pics of the site i made. first is the template without the table borders (well only the css defined ones), second is with css and html defined table borders.

sorry for big pics. only way to show the whole thing. i finished my site today btw.

oh, and we use the old internet explorer, so the picture isnt as clean as it could be. it kinda looks bad as a gif... but old ie doesnt have transparency for png's :-/

i like it, but its kinda messy :crazy:

but im just a neat freak...

xFinch713x - March 20, 2008 04:50 AM (GMT)
how is it messy? the links go on the side, main title stays the same, then the topic title and text and stuff below change for each page. thats just the template

thats so its organized, so i edit what i want without having to screw everything else up, thats what your supposed to do... and theres really only 4 boxes. icon, title, links, text
