also, this is the first I heard of the nrg900.

One thing I noticed is that the Xbox 360 boxart has the Xbox Live logo on it, meaning it has some sort of online capabilities and features - w00t! Not sure what they put on PS3 boxart to represent online play.

But another thing that caught my eye is that the 360 boxart says "Game Experience May Change During Online Play". This confirms that the game has online multiplayer!

has anyone seen the video that goes along with this?
showing the whole mural being painted? it's pretty crazy how the boxart was done like that, I don't think any other game has approached a boxart design like that at all.

Pretty cool yeah, and damn they're amazing artists. What's really amazing is that they can all draw in the same style without noticeable variations and they can draw the box art perfectly.

whoops, I didn't really read the first post, just skimmed through.
I assumed they were both just links to images.

I do think the boxart got some touchups on a computer though. to make the lines a little smoother, and the R* logo in the corner was added in over the painted one seen in the video.

but still, it's a great approach at it.

Totally agree. The niko picture up top is a little.. hm. Not sure fi this is the best word but Choppy almost.

But the Nrg picture is BEAUTIFUL.

I hope this up coming Trailer shows some gameplay. The last two trailers Where nice. I would just like some good shots of gameplay action. That would be sick.

I don't believe that it was painted, it was definitely done on photoshop. :hammer: I can tell by the brush strokes.

If you watch the trailer, you can see that the boxart was painted on a wall - which I was talking about.

The official released boxart that'll go on the game cases is obviously done on computer, like all other game covers.
